    yes YES. This guy^^^^^ built her right. Thank you sir for WHEEL SPEED. You see so many big trucks built with all the wrong gearing. 7000 engine rpm and only 10rpm wheel speed is NO fun. I even love the huge stall speed... mud truck done right! LOVE IT.

    Anyone have the full build details on this truck? What trans he’s running, what motor work is done and what transfer case?

      Running a LQ9 with a decent size cam,stock heads with springs and stock valves. Running the eldelbrock carb intake with 850 holley carb and msd controller. Turbo 400 trans with 205 cast iron transfer case and rockwell 2.5ton axles.

    ttarver24 LS2 6.0s are all aluminum..lq9 6.0s are iron blocks
    All LSs are all aluminum

      Ted Dow yes they are...if it has 'LS' in the name, it's an aluminum block...anything else like LQ, LT is not

      This is, of course, excluding the LSX376 and 454 iron block crate engines since we're referring to motors in production cars....if the car came with an 'LS' engine, it came with an aluminum block

      +Drew H god dammit, you're right.. I've been in the world of LQ and LY for so long that I guess he just use LS as a euphemism for those motors. that being said I've always been pretty content with a 350 dollar 4.8 that "has a tap"..

      rzr kid LQ9 is a 6.0 a LS3 is a 6.2. They are all Ls class motors

    Ls2 are iron block 6.0. Ls3 are all aluminum.

      LS2 is an aluminum block 6.0, in fact anything with an "LS" in front of it is an aluminum block. LQ9 is the iron block 6.0 with an entirely different cam, intake, valve train, head, and tune.

    If im not mistaken, these motors came out of escalades and other large suv's!? My dad has one in his tube chassis crawler/rock bouncer, but it doesn't sound like this, I know my dads has mufflers but sounds no where near as good as this thing!

      +ROCKWELLOFFROAD.COM why on earth do guys carb these LS motors? you can yank trans motor and ECU out of a rig and everything all work together. everything will work together and support a thousand horsepower. I'm not really big in the mud seen but I am in the street singing and nobody is carbing their LS motors,everybody's putting turbos on them.

      Because it was and still is, the cheapest way to stab in a LS. I think the MSD box is around $200 as well the intake.
      So rather then put a PCM in along with the rather expensive FI fuel system they took the cheap and easy way out.
      I don't blame them, most guys above the age of 35 can work on a carb, or know someone who can.
