Jesse, you and Pat did an awesome job at this site, considering it took 3 days to get all done. I was watching where you pushed over that one rotted tree by the tree stand, and all I could see was it going the wrong way, and you stopping it at the last seconds form hitting that tree stand, and all my husband could hear out of me was OMG!!! Husband Paul looked up and I replayed it for him, and he just looked at me, and said, Close!. Look forward to the log cabin build, after you finish your home. Be interesting to see how you plan to update the small cemetery there, and keep it [ Which I feel you should out of respect for those buried and laid to rest there. Sure you can come up with a beautiful way to up date it. You really lost money doing this job, but didn't figure on two day clean up either. WOW!! Video was Amazing, but all of yours are. The work on this, and also the sharing of this, appreicated. Thank you. Look forward to the next one.

That Samy is great. Maybe the best you have had to do this work. Huge rootballs. The helper has an orange shirt in the shade. Your camera turns it slightly green in the sunlight. I thought for a while you had two helpers till I kept track of them. You just caught that tree in time. Good job. Too bad for the bees durn it. So this job would be 5800 dollars.

That was a good save at 1:18:43. The tree house was going to be a direct hit, but you just nudge it enough at the last second to divert it. Phew that was lucky.

It started when he let off pressure on the tree. He backed off just a tiny bit which let the tree decide where it wanted to go. Steady unrelenting pressure would keep it under control.

As I was watching the video I was thinking about the amount of work and equipment involved and guessing at what you might charge on a job like this. I've been retired for several years and am not at all familiar with how prices have gone up with time and inflation so I figured I'd likely be way off. My final estimation was 3-4 thousand. I was way off on my estimation of what a skid steer and excavator with operators would cost per hr. Thanks for including that info on the job. Most youtube channels don't discuss that part of the job and I know a lot of people are curious about that sort of thing.

My family bought their own horse in 1958, had to sell it in 1959 due to a terrible drought. Before that, they borrowed a horse for the cart, but they developed the last acres of forest into farm in the 30s by hand. Only contractors who worked on large governmental construction projects could afford dozers and draglines, though the canal near my house was still dug in the 50s by shovels and rail trolleys.

Was hard to tell, but I think you harvested the pine logs on the low-boy for your mill. You said you don't use the oak and it is slow because it's hard, but the oak has become stupid expensive at the box stores. I know it would be a lot more work and blades, but you might have left quite a few thousands on the table there. Yeah, might have created another 40 hrs mill work and then you have to sell it, but you might have gotten the overall job up to the $8K. I don't know though. HD wants $12 a board foot here. So they would want $120 for a 10', so maybe you could get $80. Comes out to maybe $3K/tree.

I don't understand why you didn't think you could get that large stump out with that size machine. My machine is older, it's a late 80s. Cat, it's the largest you can get and still have a blade. So it's a couple sizes smaller than yours probably. I removed an oak Hickory this past summer. It was a 125 feet tall.
When I took the stump out. It was probably 10 to12 feet in With
at the bottom and it was about 31/2 to 4 feet at the stump because it had another one that grew of the side of it at one time that l cut off with the chainsaw l understand it probably an hour or More to do it and l had to dig deep it was a monster the neighbor was not to happy it hit so hard it knocked some of plates of the wall We had a lot of rain this year and the tree was green but You made nice work of it and I know opinions are like A.. holes and We all have them but l don't criticize Anyone's Work unless You are Putting Your or someone's else's safety in danger but on little tip that l was tough is when you have a lot of little debrie
Put it on the side and take it all at once instead of making that big swing And that saves you time and money Because evrytime you make those large swings like that you put people in risk and it not because you are a poor Operator it is how fast someone else not paying attention because you are one someone's else's property with neighbors lm have been disabled for over 25years because of a on job accident and no one is to reply blame it just took that split second were someone's wasn't paying attention l have had 16 surgeries and 8 procedures and l still have have more because people don't realize how fragile We really are but l really enjoy watching you and l think your very talented Operator !

I'm on a Jesse binge watching day. I'd ask a stupid question, but I'd probably get shunned like the old dude with the D3 and Jesse never would wave at me again. Hahahaha

what dude with the D3 did I yell at? I dont remember that. stupid questions are not always bad, only the ones that are meant to be destructive. I am always open for constructive debates

Typical pricing for small businesses. You can never charge what the job is really worth because people don't want to or won't pay it.
So, you low ball yourself just to make something rather than nothing.
Been there, done that, got the t-shirt, then burned the damn t-shirt!
    😂
