There are English subtitles... they are known for their very deep lyrics with very strong Japanese Buddhism leanings.....
I came across the band about 3 years ago. Loved them from first chord.
This guys are so great! They have been around since the late 80s. I recommend you give a listen to Namahage, The Colour out of Space and Life for Sale. Also, most of their videos have subtitles, and the lyrics are really good!
I am really digging this band ~ on a lotta levels! Thanks for the suggestions! Namahgage ROCKS.
Namahage is a must listen... a Japanese folk tale set to music
Ningen Isu simply means Human Chair.
i remembered what ningen meant since i remember the 2nd ending credits of the death note anime said ningen a lot.
and it's a title of japanese horror novel. they influenced by literature a lot especially horror novel in japan and lovecraft. please try "At the mountain of madness" or " Namahage" they are good songs.
This group is a deep rabbit hole to fall into. They've been around for over 30 years and have over 20 albums out. I have yet to hear a bad song from them and I'm just starting my dive into their catalogue. Love Nirvana is a real banger of a song. The Caterpillar carries a lot of emotion and power.
Nice! Ningen Isu is a great band and the members are down-to-earth, humble, humorous guys. They've been going since the late 1980s and they're in their mid-fifties now, a couple of years younger than the guys in Metallica. Age is irrelevant, really, but you can tell from the music they play that they grew up listening to the "classics": Hendrix, Zeppelin, Sabbath, Deep Purple, King Crimson, Budgie, Motorhead, etc. Their lyrics, on the other hand, draw heavily on Japanese literature and folklore.
At the start of 2020 they toured outside Japan for the first time, and I was lucky enough to see them in London. It was a fantastic gig with a real sense of occasion. I don't know who was happier to be there, the audience or the band. Great atmosphere. There's an official video of Heartless Scat from that show, if you want to get a taste. They were supposed to go to the US and play at SXSW in March but Covid scuppered that plan.
They've released over twenty albums and have a ton of great songs. You might want to try Great King of Terror, Voice of Nothing, or The Colour Out of Space. You won't be disappointed.
To be doing what they are doing for as long as they've been doing it shows passion - a love for what they do. I'm all in with that!
HEARTLESS SCAT (NINGEN ISU Band)
If you, Holy Angels, do exist in this universe
Will you bless me on the cheeks?
With my painful effort never paid off
I've just been standing in the shadow
Will the day come someday when I can fly high in the sky?
Will the day come when I can see the Sun?
Tell me, Holy Angels

If you, Divine Goddess, are staying hidden somewhere
Why don't you smile at me on my forehead?
I've never tasted the nectar of victory
I’ve never succeeded in love
Will the day come when I can get intoxicated by the victory?
Will the day come when I can embrace love?
Tell me, Divine Goddess
Shabadabadia

Countless stars are twinkling in the sky
Every one of us is under them
With a thousand wishes in each heart
Lululu Lululu
If you, Lord Buddha, really exist in some place
Please have mercy on me, too
Having nothing precious in my possession
Desolated
Isolated
I've been living my life with a series of failures
Will the day come when I can totally be satisfied?
Will the day come when my dreams come true?
Tell me, Lord Buddha

nice sound very good !! nice audio
5:40 - That part is why there is a *'SCAT'* in the song title.
_In vocal jazz, scat singing is vocal improvisation with wordless vocables, nonsense syllables or without words at all_
React to namhage by them
We'll add it to the list. We plan on starting some commenter suggestion reactions soon.
Another great song with some serious Sabbath feels.

Please check out Lovebites - Break the Wall Live 2020 or Holy War Live 2020, Japanese female metal band!
Thank you!
Subscribed on this one reaction.edit: sine you mentioned BABYMETAL- BOH, the bass player of the Japanese kamis is still with them.
Ningen Isu = ning ngen (pronounced as gang without the last alphabet g) ee soo
There are so many good songs by them. They have 20 albums in the last 30 years or so.
Try "Namahage" or "Caterpillar", for example.

Nice reaction. This band has been around since 2000's. I would recommend reacting to LOVEBITES and their live performances like HOLY WAR...Japan has a lot to offer...
They have been around since the 80's haven't they.
@@deathsyth27 Aye, the guitarist and bass player have known each other since their schooldays. They formed Ningen Isu in 1987 and released their first album at the end of 1989.
How cool is that!? I am diggin' this band!
Greeting to both of you!! My today's suggestion is a new song entitled "We Died In 2012", from the French Canadian project named So-Fi. On this one, you will hear a beautiful warm charming female voice, surrounded by a beautiful warm charming female voice, surrounded by a cloudy Industrial/Pop/Metal universe: ua-cam.com/video/rFwZcGmzNY0/v-deo.html
