I’m Glad Ding held his own in the game he’s struggled and has been getting a bad rap from doubters of his ability hopefully he keeps improving Thanks for the Game Agadmator
I believe it was maybe 4 or so years ago that Magnus said that his only 2 equals were Fabi....and Ding.
Tbh wherever I see you, your picture makes me sick
@@stephencampbell2018 he says that fabi is about equality but ding... was another thing, more than equality. That before pandemic.
He gets exactly the rap that should be expected for a "made in china" world champion
@@solarcrystal5494what the hell is that supposed to mean?

yep. that's an anagram of Fischer Rapid, #sorryaboutthat
I think they call this slow rapid, in respect of the games played hundreds of years ago. They would play games without time control.
@@elpollolocoman119 True but they weren't allowed to leave the table. Became a contest to see who could remain dry.

Where have you been...@@beksatibek
Great game. I'm happy for Ding.
Hard to see a ding game where he doesnt sacrifice atleast a rook
Ding Liren used to play like a machine before he became a contender for championships.
@@cleiru7859yes, his peak was really scary
@cleiru7859 Yes. He was like Fabiano, but unlike Fabi, was willing to play some inspired moves and occasionally yolo it, which Fabi never does, unless he's losing and very desperate.
Ding back to form - hopefully in time.
mediocre
@@Christopher-pm3dyhe played a bit better than he has been so it’s an improvement
All draws?
Giri would be proud.
He hasn't won a game
@@compositeur8455 its the matter of time
That was such a great game by both!
7:44 at this position, why not knight back to b4? Doesn’t that hold everything together for black? The white king still will be unable to enter the game, the rook is pretty much tied down and the black king is free to walk up via the black squares no?
Maybe f4 works again, Bxf4 and that pawn at d4 falls while also freeing up the rook, if gxf4 then g5 is probably enough to score the whole point (35. .... f3, 36. h6; if gxh6 white has g6 as the black pawn at d4 would get in the way of the ds bishop, if Bxg5, h7 - pawn at g7 would block access to h8)
PS: A pretty interesting variation, for me, is e5 after f4 (fxe5 makes the pawn vulnerable, but play f5 and it will not only overload the black king, it actually can't prevent the f- or h-pawn from promoting even when disregarding the defense of the queen-side pawns) Gotta love what threats pawns could pose and how big of a role a "passive rook" may play
PPS: Haven't use an engine and I'm quite weak so there could be miscalculations 🤣
Ding chilling 😎
0:26 once I saw agadmator video I never think twice to like, but others videos of anyone I go to last and I like
@7:13 Rook d6 might be an advantage for black. White Rook in D1 is completely blocked by his own suite. White bishop needs a tempo in any case to get useful. The knigh sacrifice might be better than recapturing with pawn. For counter attacking purposes and taking back the initiative!
It's the first time we witness Agad make an inaccuracy in his closing line
Awesome 😎
Don't underestimate the underdog.
A dog is a dog. Dare not if it's wild...!!!!👌👌👌👌👌👌
Nice game 👌
Near flawless game. We cannot find any fault with both of them. Class at best
The engine will probably count the rook sacrifice as a blunder or at least an inaccuracy.
@@indianfan1029the engine says its brilliant
Anyone know why magnus didnt try to move his king back to the left side of the board at 12:00. Im assuming the black king woulda chased the white king leading to the same predicament?
If Rxd5 Nxd5 Be4 there’s…Nb4 keeping the king tied down. Then the win is problematic even if white eventually wins the e6 pawn. Similarly Bc4 Nb4 Bxe6 d3 and I can’t see the win for white- his pieces are just too passive
The World Champion vs the Best Chess Player.
👍🏻👍🏻
Amazing
This game demonstrate how strong Ding Liren is. Gukesh is facing an opponent of one level higher and he needs help from Anand.
Oooh I missed that f4 tactic after nb4
Magnus should play against the engines now!
Ding vs Keymer next please!!!
#suggestions
7:18 i think Rc5 is an inaccuracy the file is fully dominated by oppoenent minor pieces so should be sliding rook to e2 potential theat of capturing the black bishop as blacks rook is undefended on 8th rank
This was a great explanation of those disgusting engine lines.
Hi agad, a fan of you from india. 😊
Ding is continuously finding ways to improve. I'm very impressed. At first, I didn't believe that he was truly the champion as long as Magnus breathed, but now he might actually have earned it.
Lol no
He's the champion because Magnus refused to participate. Not because he's the best player
@@maximthefox"Ding is the champion just because Magnus refused to play". It has become a cult, ain't it? Magnus is being treated like some kind of litmus test in chess when he also lost to players whose ratings are far below his, and recently even to a 10 year old kid. Magnus is great, everyone knows. But he's a human too. Get a life.
@@lindastina I'm sorry if the truth makes you upset
@@maximthefox what truth that makes me upset? that Ding won the World Championship and that made you cry like a baby?
How much time did each ultimately spend?
Ding might draw his other game today vs Keymer he has rook and Bishop vs Rook Knight endgame happening
he did draw even tho it was winning poor keymer almost had a endgame masterpiece
Keymer was 3 pawns down and winning and then he blundered, it was a beautiful endgame )
In 03:52 , why dont move the knigt to F3 to defend the bishop?
Im guessing you just attack that undefended knight and win a piece either way
the undefended knigth goes to F3 defendig bishop while attacking the opposite black bishop@@svenske71
Why not eat d3 with bishop? Why eat with the rook?
at 10:25
If Rxd3, then just simply ...Rxd3, opposite colored bishop, guarantee draw
You may wanna call it: sR?

Quick Classical / Slow Rapid.....cmon is it maybe time to come up with a name for this time control?
Magnus gave exchange back when his found out his king was cut out from entering the game. Was there a way to give it back earlier in order to keep the advantage?
Magnus does not look like he’s doing SuperGreat vs MVL
Ding ding ding 😊
2nd: I believe Wesley is still the classical WFRCC while Hikaru is just the rapid WFRCC.
Q1
Why weren't the 'slow rapid' games in the 2019 wfrcc considered classical when they are 60min games and the minimum for classical is 60min?
Q2
Why are the 2022 WFRCC games considered 'slow rapid', as in the same category for the 2019 wfrcc 60min games, when they are actually 32.5min games?
What I understand is
(0,10) = Blitz
[10,60) = rapid
[60,120) = classical but unrated if so and so conditions
[120,infinity) = classical

Sorry for the spoiler…
I love a double queen castle 🏰
this time format doesnt seem to suit Magnus. Too slow for his rapid mindset framework and to fast for the deeper classical computational requirements
i remember magnus once said after he won the world cup on chess24, that he wanted two 45 min rapid games/day for WCC and Candidates format
I am sorry but I do not accept time limits less than 60m as being classical; I don't care what MC says.
Anyone else a Tottenham fan ?
Ding Dong. Thought the China man was dead.
Your ding dong is dead, old man
First view
Why do you always say they agreed to a draw and then correct yourself by saying it's a draw by three-fold repetition? Why not just say it's a draw by three-fold repetition in the first place? Maybe it'd make sense if you only did this once or twice, but you do it virtually every time it's a draw by three-fold repetition, and I don't understand why.
You've got a point there
I’m usually a stickler for such things, but my take is that at this level they know what they’re doing, so it’s just a professional way to ask and accept a draw? My view as an interested observer.
but they didn't have to do the threefold repetition, and they did it knowing it is a draw, so isn't this just another way to agree to a draw ? what is the difference ?
@@SjS_blue agreed, I guess professional courtesy?
Magnus up the exchange but ding still holding with black pieces. This is why magnus resign from wcc, he is simply getting old
being up the exchange doesn't mean you have a winning position
@@tomatoisnotafruit5670 magnus is getting old. He said it himself he is physically not on his prime anymore. He is smart to withdraw from WCC as legend, and not "former". With all these scary young players, who can blame magnus ?
@@brukujinbrokujin7802 what scary young players? none of them are good enough to make it to World Championship title yet, Magnus withrew cause playing 8 hour long theory games is just stupid and pointless,
A classical game should not go longer than 3 hours from start to finish, until FIDE can fix that Magnus isn't going to be wasting his time.
@@tomatoisnotafruit5670 excuse is still excuse no matter how you sugarcoat it. Magnus withdraw because he think he can lose. He wont take that risk. He is getting physically unfit. Even with nepo, almost 100 rating below him, he is struggling. Its lucky for magnus that nepo blundered.
@@brukujinbrokujin7802 lmao struggling? Magnus beat Nepo very easily,
Magnus isn't afraid of Nepo or Ding or any othese other older top players, they are all way below Magnus' level.
Only Fabi was very close to Magnus in 2018 and Magnus still came out on top then.
Yes Magnus is getting older, but so are all these old guys and they aren't getting any better while Magnus is still very clearly the best by far.
The young guys have a lot of talent but they are still some years away from challenging for World Championship.
It's pretty obvious that Magnus left cause the FIDE classical format is long outdated and they refuse to change it, Magnus is big enough where he can tell FIDE to fuck off.
ding getting the CCP to bribe carlsen to draw with him.
