Awesome video Matt! Thank you for sharing! What is the actual cheeper set up microscope you talked about here ? I've been looking at several set ups that go to the 1000x you said would ever be needed or possible with camera set up but I just want to make sure I get something decent

Sounds like your database will need slots to receive Brix meter scores (simple meter, or temp-compensated meter) - for compost, plant leaves, fruit, etc.
Will ALSO need a slot to attach DNA analysis results.

I can't wait for that kit! Will it work for a full frame camera? I have a Sony A7C with a full frame T mount adapter. (mount cost double what my Swift380T microscope cost! lol)
The Epifluorescence kit will absolutely work with a T-mount adapter and DSLR camera - you may need to get a condenser ring for the c-mount which is usually inexpensive (it lets you focus the image a touch more so you can leave the regular focus knobs in place and then match the camera and c-mount tube's focuses). I'm so excited for you to join us!! :) :) :)

Depending on the testing type, the quality of your work, and your reach it can be very profitable, but consultation is key I believe to making the reach/connection/change at its fullest. I see TX as a huge open market - there's so much enthusiasm, curiosity, and willingness to do the work!! I'm so happy to be here. I'll be having on-site classes in 2023 - hope you stop by! :)

Guess I got to go to work and make some 💰 so I can buy me a 🔬. I was learning how to compost until It came to not being able to see and learn what I was really doing because I couldn't afford a microscope.

Just getting into the soil microscope stuff.... trying to learn.
So far havent found anything that looks alive and don't have a clue what I am doing.
I kinda want someone to take all the laughs from this video and make a bioshock like video game with a cackling shadow creature that follows you around and laughs at what you do for no known reason....

Like the Nikon modded ones? I'd find a setup I like online and then search Craigslist for that camera.
@@ThePermacultureStudent well, I am joining CLP with SFW, and would like to be able to use it for that ans then take your classes and have it set up for anything you will be teaching,
so I need a nice bi or trinocular, with a good camera, where I can change the light bulb, right? Are there any other specifications that your classes would add on to CLP/SFW requirements?
So far the only real different I think I will need is the changeable light bulb, but I am purchasing now so I wanted to make sure

So, just audio is cool? I have a hard time "getting" the telegram and discord draws but folks are all over them... Part of it is time for me - my boys are 11 and 15 and we homeschool so I have to strike a balance and usually that translates to me picking certain platforms to focus on. I focus primarily on UA-cam for example. I need to write these next two books in the trilogy, film these next two courses, setup this 24 acre site, and make sure my boys are ready to go out into the world, BUT I will try to branch out more after I write these books and launch this new database properly. Maybe the first discord we'll form will be around the R-Soil Database. :) :) :)
@@ThePermacultureStudent I have one I started few weeks back, dedicated to soil science/biology and organic/natural farming. The Soil Sanctuary it's called heh, and just kinda felt like I had to💚!! As far as I know, there was NONE specific for organic soil/natural farming until I made one, if you can believe it. Nearly at 100 members already!!!!
It can certainly be very time consuming but just make your most trusted an admin and your long term or close buddies as mods for your server. Then you'll be able to multitask knowing they have ur back, regarding any foolishness that may occur with ur discord members (or bots etc)
Discords about the community so no one will expect you present 24/7 haha that'd be crazy of course. It's more so a gathering hub for like minded ppl, and of course in your case those who believe in sustainability and health of their soil most of all! It would bring us all together, like no other platform can and it's why it's so highly requested.
