That toygaroo was really unfortunate. That one sounded like a really great idea. She could have even sold the older toys for a cheap price to make more.
I liked that idea as well but not only do I think it was due to stress but I don't she planned far ahead, cuz when you choose to start a business you need to be about 10 steps ahead, she was about maybe at best 1 or 2. Personally I enjoy these episodes more than I do the original broadcasts of the show. I also like seeing what products took off after airing which the sharks declined to take a bite into yet thrived in sales for months or even years thereafter.
While i love shark tank, the original dragon’s den is a far superior show and really is a great watch if you enjoy the shows concept. Shark tank-Aus. is terrible though.
Ngl some of these products really are good ideas. I like that Toygaroo one and breathometer. shame it wasn't very accurate. But aside from the Night runner nice try to all the others. I give them all props

They're still allowed to exist. Yet each could hurt someone just as severely with incorrect readings.
Toygaroo is a terrible idea. A rental service for cheap plastic toys? Kids aren't going to "outgrow" or "get bored" with them, they're going to *break* them. And now the company has to deal with not only acquiring and shipping more cheap plastic toys, they also have the broken ones that have been sent back. It's an idea that only works in theory. I feel like this service would’ve actually thrived during the pandemic. Stores being shutdown and/or people being hesitant to shop in-person would only benefit a delivery service like this.
Yeah a company failing, because they don't know how to manage employees is hilariously pathetic. If she was that incompetent at managing she could of just hired an actual manager to run the operations and borrowed capital with a business loan that she would definitely have gotten to pay for expected labor cost increases. German Shark Tank had a copy cat that also got bankrupt. I guess cleaning, replacing all the dirty or broken pieces is just to much work and people probably don't want to pay a premium for essential used stuff.
Y’all, I remember seeing that episode of the night runner shoe lights years ago, and as a kid back then, I knew my dad LOVED running. And he ran at night a lot. Yo, so Cactus Jack is my ex-girlfriends grandpa, the woman with her was her mom. Yes, he dresses like that and goes by cactus, I had to have dinner with the man 😂
Mark dint say “worst product”, he says “worst execution”. I’m fully convinced that latter on in the products history they would have knowingly, and gleefully made those breath meters read low. The refund they had to give out killed the brands trust with its customers and I’m beyond sure with government.
4:19 Aussie Shark: "You can't run both companies! You need to have a sole focus on one of them!" *Jack Dorsey has left the chat* *Elon Musk has left the chat*
In other episodes that same shark said that she literally prioritized her business over her children’s’ well-being so for her to have said that to him was incredibly hypocritical.
I've never bought a product I saw on here, but I met a guy who's business got funded on Dragons Den. He was from my province and sold stuff like beard oil. He was at an entrepreneurship conference my class attended and we talked to him.
Toygaroo fell because of resource management? I figured that it would've been for major liability issues like broken toys hampering on profits. Kids break toys, it is known, doubtful that there could even be subscription clause that would protect the company's assets. Other liabilities, like hygiene and safety. Oh boy, imagine Toygaroo in these pandemic times...
It is true that kids break toys, but not as often as they outgrow them. And it could be taken into account when fixing the price, like other liabilities. I think it's a shame, it sounds like a good idea to me.
Several Shark Tank products I've bought have been phenomenal: Kodiak Cakes are a go-to for me because they taste great and have protein. I also like the Stasher bags a lot. Another product that I recently discovered is the Frozen Farmer ice cream; Lori did end up actually investing in that one, and now it sells all over the US at Walmart and Kroger. It tastes amazing and is low calorie.
@@Unstoppable_Unicorn Yes, and like Jamie Siminoff and his Ring doorbells, they didn't get a deal! I think a couple sharks have said they regret not closing a deal with Kodiak and Ring.
Haven't directly bought something from an edition on the 'Dragon's Den' UK version, but I did see a chunky knitting kit trailed there just before I got into regular knitting. It certainly made me sit up and take notice.
The equivalent show in Canada and other countries is "Dragon's Den" . Whenever I see an odd product in a surplus / liquidation store, I think that "Looks like a reject from Dragons Den" .
The UK version is also called 'Dragons' Den', next season will have a new dragon replacing Taj Lalvani, and it's Steven Bartlett, who originally plan to pitch to the dragons, but wasn't picked by the producers to appear on the show, he now runs a private equity firm.
I am amazed that there weren't any questions re accuracy during the pitch for no. 1. It's basically the life of the product, nobody wants to be stopped by police and fail their test.
Products my hubby and I have bought that we saw on Shark Tank are: The Spatty & Spatty Daddy combo pack (extra long handle and thin for bottles and jars), Rocketbook, we have Ring alarm and several cameras set up around the outside of our house (doorbell camera wouldn’t work due to the placement of ours) and various Kodiak Cakes in microwaveable cups! Can’t think of anything else at the moment!
so, rather than competing with a threaded hose connection like they showed the sharks, their coupler competes with the Storz connection which is a symmetrical (meaning you don't have a male end and a female end) quarter turn connector, that is used everywhere threaded connections aren't used. might be why they didn't make it into the market.
I bought and have a membership for Wild Earth Plant Based Dog Food. My dog (and my cat), who usually does not like kibble, LOVES Wild Earth. This is a great product I would recommend.
3:00 the problem of these toys is that there is a ton of similar stuff and this one doesn't really stand out. Not mentioning that the creations made of that are super limited, while with lego you can do basically anything and that's the power of it
I honestly wish I knew about #6 yrs ago. For yrs I walked 2 hrs back from work 3xs/week along an unlit highway. (walking in the better lit way would not only add about 45-60min but would also have me walking through two bad downtown areas, one of which I'm not a familiar face in. Not the worst areas, but still pretty bad, especially as a female all alone at like 2am.) Unlike a flashlight or the little collapsible camping lantern I used, it wouldn't blind me to the road right in front of me while walking and would still increase my visibility to traffic, the latter being the whole reason I used a light to begin with..
I have bought the raw cookie dough cups from the inventors from Peoria, IL region that were on the show. I still see the cups in the stores in the dairy section, but it's honestly cheaper to make it yourself. Baking the flour for a few minutes to kill germs is essential, as is not adding eggs or leaveners, but otherwise, it's just the toll house recipe.
I know right? Me too, I love chillstep music, a soon as I heard it I paused this video, looked up the original, subbed to that channel and saved the song on my Music Playlist. First time ever I do that from a WatchMojo video, I usually skip ahead 20 seconds.
@@tjwash2 it seems like a great thing for the Pandemic actually, as long as they had lots of toys in stock. If they had to wait for shipping then I guess sales would have plummeted like all retail but they could have applied for PPP.
it is greatly appreciated that the SHARK TANK had the courage to showing the unsuccessful deals, and to why they were not working out. It was interesting to watch and informative. I admired their honesty on the unsuccessful transactions..
I bought a terra core (think that’s how you spell it). It’s been under my bed since the purchase. I also bought a mango preserve, because the sharks made it sound amazing! It was pretty good, but unhealthy and too sweet. Needed that terra core after that one😂 Bought these oatmeal ball things, they were OK, at best.
i used to work in a denver co based resturant called fat shack that was taken by i think mark lol it is basically a late night stoner subway shop, footlong sandwiches with tenders, onion rings, mottzerella sticks, honey musturd, bacon, etc.
i was fired from said company due to having epilepsy and missing days while in the HOSPITAL sending photos of myself in a er bed to my manager for him to in the end let me go due to missing the said days
I don't see how Robert would regret the Shoe Light deal. He still has his percentage in the company. They made the deal. Unless the shark deal was never finalized.
I had a feeling Breathometer was going to be on this list. A fucking phone isn't designed to detect BAC and the microphone is only used to transmit sound.
If I understood it correctly it was an additional set of hardware you strap on to the phone, no? So it has nothing to do with the microphone and the phone is nothing more than a vancy display for an entirely different gadget. So in theory there is no problem with it, as long as the gadget can actually do what its supposed to.
To be fair, it is an investment most of the times. They let the owners or other people run their businesses while they just fund them and see how they are doing.
I’ve bought the Chord Buddy for my son to learn the guitar. I myself am a musician, but I cannot teach him guitar! I could not teach him how to drive either, I had to send him to driving school! (See the pattern…? 🤣) I think it will really help him to learn the basics of how to play guitar and it will bring him tons of joy!
Qubits looks like a good idea, but the problem is that you're competing with Lego, Kre-O, Erector Sets, Lincoln Logs and probably more. These are powerful, well established names that can even get major licensing deals on the regular. Glad to hear it survived though.
The women went for the underwear thing because the men knew that guys wear underwear for years until the last possible moment. There's no need for new underwear monthly or even yearly.
@@codycoy2943 Same here. These companies are fully aware of their 'clients' and use legal crap to refrain people from ending the order. Wish I had thought of that...
$30 for 3 pairs of underwear and 3 pairs socks every 3 months is a bargain unless the quality is bad which for that price could be the case. Maybe after a year, end the subscription for a while till you need more.
Wondercide indoor bug repellant, I don’t recall if the Sharks invested or not, but the stuff works. (They started off with natural flea and tick stuff for pets).
indoor bug repellant? If you have bugs already indoors, I would think you'd need something more than just a repellant. Maybe..... lets sayyyyy A bug killer instead?
I have a Rocketbook on my desk. The newer version that just requires a specific pen to erase. The first time I saw a "whiteboard" style notebook, I was asking why I had never had the chance to purchase this before.
# 7: Really unfortunate that THAT product failed. Yet something as goofy as # 6 becomes wildly successful. One, 150 lumens is practically nothing. Two, constantly lifting up your feet means your eyes can't focus on anything in front of you. Three, you can get better results with a more powerful headlamp angled towards the ground. And I mean significantly brighter than a paltry 150 lumens. Which, by the way, if you know how the flashlight industry works; you know that _actual_ output is going to be roughly only 2/3rds of that 150. It's literally a cap-light that they attached to shoes! That's all it is.
I have the scrub daddy and this wheel I forget what it’s called but it stretches out your back and every time I have back pain I just use it and it’s the best thing ever
Huh. Might need to look into Night Runner, as I like doing jogs in the extremely early mornings when it's still dark out. Instead I use a hanging light and a safety vest so any motorists can easily see me if I'm crossing a street/driveway. That Cactis Jack one is rather sad to hear. I'd like to learn more about why it fell through. Also I miss how people hugged each other all the time. Can't do that anymore.
I bought a G.O.A.T. Speaker when it was on clearance. The speaker itself wasn't bad, the look was cute, but it never seemed to work as a speaker for my pets.
Title is click bait. These are either products the sharks ended up not doing the deal, or the product went out of business, but this channel neither shows whether the sharks lost money, nor does it ever show the sharks explaining their regrets.
Y’all… I definitely bought the scrub daddy. And then the mommy… and then the baby. Now I needed scrub daddy for the bathroom, and scrub mommy for the kitchen, I didn’t need the baby. BUT IT WAS CUTE. damn you Lori…definitely started as just the daddy but she took it there. Bro. 🤣🤷♀️
I never watch this show, not my cup of tea I guess (I have no business instinct in my blood whatsoever). But the Qubits and Toygaroo seems like a good toy and idea. But maybe Toygaroo would fit better for nonprofit organizations. There are poor kids with no toys in my town, I wish I can give them some, so they can experience the fun childhood like I did decades ago...

not even the real Cactus Jack either, if the guy had gone too far with his business, he'd get sued for sure.
You need to have a sole focus on one of them!"
*Jack Dorsey has left the chat*
*Elon Musk has left the chat*
Or you have to be insanely industrious and literally live to work.
In other episodes that same shark said that she literally prioritized her business over her children’s’ well-being so for her to have said that to him was incredibly hypocritical.
@@mackenziec2516 that's not hypocritical. That's consistent. That person still prioritizes one thing over the other
I've never bought a product I saw on here, but I met a guy who's business got funded on Dragons Den. He was from my province and sold stuff like beard oil. He was at an entrepreneurship conference my class attended and we talked to him.
I love how kevin sees through almost all of these deals
Wait Kodiak waffles were a shark tank product? That’s literally all I eat
@@Unstoppable_Unicorn Yes, and like Jamie Siminoff and his Ring doorbells, they didn't get a deal! I think a couple sharks have said they regret not closing a deal with Kodiak and Ring.
I really really wanna try frozen farmer but it's not available here😭
I bought a Mission Belt right after Shark Tank and some more a few years later. They got better in quality!
Haven't directly bought something from an edition on the 'Dragon's Den' UK version, but I did see a chunky knitting kit trailed there just before I got into regular knitting. It certainly made me sit up and take notice.
Yes, scrub Daddy products! Love them! ❤️
It's a bit weird that they didn't cover Dragon's Den here, considering that the channel is Canadian.
This one is actually a really interesting list concept. Thanks MOJO!
so, rather than competing with a threaded hose connection like they showed the sharks, their coupler competes with the Storz connection which is a symmetrical (meaning you don't have a male end and a female end) quarter turn connector, that is used everywhere threaded connections aren't used. might be why they didn't make it into the market.
Next list: Top10 deals the Sharks regret not taking. (Shark Tank)
There's a "top 10 rejected shark tank pitches that became successful"
Ring would be number one
I tried 'Simple Sugars' natural skincare facial scrub a few years ago and have be a loyal customer since. It's a great product.
I bought and have a membership for Wild Earth Plant Based Dog Food. My dog (and my cat), who usually does not like kibble, LOVES Wild Earth. This is a great product I would recommend.
I bought the Scrub Daddy and a Yellow Leaf Hammock. Scrub Daddy - Great! Hammock - Even Better!
3:00 the problem of these toys is that there is a ton of similar stuff and this one doesn't really stand out. Not mentioning that the creations made of that are super limited, while with lego you can do basically anything and that's the power of it
imagine getting 1mil dollars only to fail anyway
Who else heard the name “Cactus Jack” and immediately thought of Mick Foley?
Wow, WatchMojo finally recommended a song that I actually like. Wild.
I know right? Me too, I love chillstep music, a soon as I heard it I paused this video, looked up the original, subbed to that channel and saved the song on my Music Playlist. First time ever I do that from a WatchMojo video, I usually skip ahead 20 seconds.
Why is this WatchMojo's only liked comment? Bots? 😂
Yes I have bought a shark tank product The Sleep Styler a real simple and easy thing to curl hair with naturally. And I love it!
I love the scrub daddy that appeared on either shark tank or dragons den.
I bought scrubb daddy and city kitty. Both are great.
That Toygaroo one should make a come back, i like that idea!
Toygaroo sounds like a great idea. They should have hired some people. I can’t believe that idea didn’t work.
With Covid, their sales would have plummeted even if they’d gotten off the ground initially
Needed that terra core after that one😂
Bought these oatmeal ball things, they were OK, at best.
Oh I bought the Brazi Bites and them little suckers are so good, bought them multiple times....
Loving your content! Stay safe everyone 💖💖
I think I've heard of Qubits before
Woobles! Love the crocheting for adults!
i used to work in a denver co based resturant called fat shack that was taken by i think mark lol it is basically a late night stoner subway shop, footlong sandwiches with tenders, onion rings, mottzerella sticks, honey musturd, bacon, etc.
i was fired from said company due to having epilepsy and missing days while in the HOSPITAL sending photos of myself in a er bed to my manager for him to in the end let me go due to missing the said days
@@jpgkai u could probably sue
Sweet balls? You mean cake pops without a stick? Who tf thought this was an actual investment?
can you do a list on them not taking products
In the UK, this version of the show is called Dragons' Den. Interesting, huh?
I don't see how Robert would regret the Shoe Light deal. He still has his percentage in the company. They made the deal. Unless the shark deal was never finalized.
The deal never happened due to the product having massive sales before the Episode Aired, so they dropped the deal as it was a loan they didn't need.
Pretty sure it’s too late for regrets.
Sweet Balls reminds me of that SNL skit
Qubits sounds pretty neat!
The only item Shark Tank item I purposely bought were Bombas socks. Love them!
I love the sharks saying to focus on one business while they’re on a show about getting involved with new businesses?
I mean that service already exists with me undies and is decently successful. So concept works, but the failure came down on the man running it.
@@codycoy2943 Same here. These companies are fully aware of their 'clients' and use legal crap to refrain people from ending the order. Wish I had thought of that...
Speak for yourself. Not every guy like to wear overused underwear.
$30 for 3 pairs of underwear and 3 pairs socks every 3 months is a bargain unless the quality is bad which for that price could be the case. Maybe after a year, end the subscription for a while till you need more.
Never watched Shark Tank, but I bought the Bambooee Paper Towels. They are great.
'Guess which one i chose...'
none of the above
Toygaroo was such a good idea ngl
Maybe if it had more funding and strength wouldve been something i would have definitely subscribed to
Wondercide indoor bug repellant, I don’t recall if the Sharks invested or not, but the stuff works.
# 7:
Really unfortunate that THAT product failed.
SOME OF THESE WERE GOOD IDEAS!
Sad to see that firehose guy didn't make it, he was so memorable and wholesome. It really seemed like he and mr Cuban would make a great team
I have the scrub daddy and this wheel I forget what it’s called but it stretches out your back and every time I have back pain I just use it and it’s the best thing ever
I don't believe I have purchased any shark tank products, but I do look forward to a few of them
9:44 " I trust you, you know what your doing "
I have a tangleteaser from the uks dragons den. It didn't get a deal but its now everywhere in every shop
That subscription based toy company was the right idea. Just before it’s time
Please make more these videos about failed shark tank
Ngl the underwear subscription thing sound really good
honestly, the quibits was so cool like I would have wanted that as a kid
Mr Wonderful and Herjavec started out on a similar Canadian show called Dragons Den. Both shows are from the same production company.
Half of the people not realizing Ring doorbell is on shark tank
Ring was on Shark Tank but no one picked it up. Probably one of their greatest losses.
The sharks must have lawyers and people on retainer to look at deals. Why didn't they vet the breathalyzer app more thoroughly?
Maybe it works on kids instead? AKAs - baby goats
Bro. 🤣🤷♀️
Love the scrub daddy
I never watch this show, not my cup of tea I guess (I have no business instinct in my blood whatsoever). But the Qubits and Toygaroo seems like a good toy and idea. But maybe Toygaroo would fit better for nonprofit organizations. There are poor kids with no toys in my town, I wish I can give them some, so they can experience the fun childhood like I did decades ago...
