Thanks for stopping by, If you have time you can check out my new range of Eggs here www.etsy.com/shop/bensworx
i don't want your dragons, i want something a bit more personal to you like the style of the videos you are making.
you might have already done this, forgive me if that's the case. you often light your creations with custom run leds. i wonder if you could have run a thin coated wire through the hand, and replaced the fishing line with the wire running out of the fingertip, and then installed an LED into the balloon. maybe replace the water in the balloon with resin (or distilled water for the same flowing effect) and have it lit from the inside.
Awesome, this is probably my favourite piece I've seen you do. Would it be possible to cast ferrofluid (maybe with the magnet outside the casting tub) in resin or do you think the pressure would be too much?
There seems to be an unintended mirror effect that makes it look like the forearm continues through the side. @ 8:12 you can see that the hand is never visible in the reflection and the wrist seems to form an elbow, same from the other side @ 8:36 really cool effect.
Your Etsy shop doesn't seem to have anything for sale.
The nightlight idea is good. Maybe make another with glow in the dark liquid in the balloon. Then when the nightlight is turned off the balloon would still glow for a bit and look really neat.
please i hope he makes this
I had the same idea... jut 5 hrs later than you XD I didn't even see your comment before posting mine.
Or, Florescent colours and a hidden 603 UV led, 2×2030 button cells, would run for 12+ months.
YES!!!!!!!
BRILLIANT IDEA I WONDER HOW THE MOTION OF THE LIQUID WOULD EFFECT THE LUMINOSITY AS AN ARTIST WHO LOVES GLOW PAINT
This is by far my favorite thing you've ever made. I would totally buy this if I could.
Thanks Mate
Same, I love it.
@@BensWorx Is it for sale?
This is amazing!
@@BensWorx where can I buy one?
It turned out great! The CRACK…”uh-oh”was my favorite part. I’ll bet every single one of us said it! 🤣
Thanks Kate, 😂
I was thinking well we know what that means. However excellent 👌 work.
I know I did!
Once I heard crack, I literally was like “Uh oh”and then he said it, that made my day there lol
I did!
Ben..and glitter to the water in the ballon..so when it moves..the glitter moves too..✨✨✨
@@Me-qp8vz - Now I'm imagining bio-luminescent dog barks.
@@malindemunich2883 How adorable is that 😁
"Just give me a sec while I clean this up" lol what you meant to say is a few hours sanding and polishing lol. That's SOOO COOOL BRO. I'm so glad it worked out and looks flawless like always. Can't wait to see what you do next.
Thanks Frankie! Yep about 3 hrs to be exact 😂
@@BensWorx wow that's it. I guess when you're a professional resin artist you can do it in half the time. Lol it would have probably taken me several days hahah
@@BensWorx also, thanks for always commenting bro, it makes me feel special
just a few tweaks and this could bring in some crazy horror vibes 👀
I was thinking the same thing
We all float here
Wonder if a balloon filled with resin tied would burst in the pressure chamber. And if it would expand and become an odd shape
That’s definitely worth trying 👍
You can do one where the resin hardens in the balloon ... it will be messy though, to get the pressure to expand the balloon and get it filled with resin at the same time? Better off trying to make a mold of a blown up balloon and then make different color resin balloons . Then just suspend them from the hands upside-down.
@@Burn77oas7 that wound not be the end result tho. It’s to see how a balloon filled with resin reacts. If it’ll expand and deform itself. Making a balloon out of resin would be easy just have a mold and done.
@@Burn77oas7 Fill the balloon with resin and let it harden (cure), then you can use the pressure pot for the rest of it.
@@mikejones7990 im just saying it will be a difficult thing to get a balloon expanded to size with just Resin, water and air build pressure causing the balloon to expand, you pout resin in and its going to just over flow and not blow up the balloon. You will have a limp resin ballon
I clicked on this expecting to see the busted/melted balloon and the effects of the water in the resin! Not what I expected, but definitely NOT disappointed! Excellent job!
Thanks Jason 😊
Oooo, make another one and add some shimmer glitter to the water filled balloon, or made glow-in-the-dark speckles
Highlights of the video for me are:
"I asked Nicole to give me a hand" AND SHE DELIVERED!
CRACK "uh oh!" dude I said it at the same time XD
This as a night lamp sounds like an amazing idea.
I saw someone else on the comments talking about using glow in the dark pigment inside the balloon that's a genius idea! specially for a night lamp
Thanks Mate 😊
Really loved your silicone mode this time, no wasted material!
That's what I like about this channel, wacky projects no one else seems to think about, but they give some brilliant and interesting results, keep it up and don't run out of wacky ideas.
Thanks Mate
A balloon filled with air would probably make some interesting shapes that the water can't. It would be way harder to get to work right though.
The balloon would most likely pop, unless he doesn't use the pressure pot, 🤷♂️
@@Burn77oas7 He didn't use the pressure pot in this one it looks like so it could be possible!
Perhaps he should use something that lighter like oil instead of water. Theoretically it should float if it's lighter than the reason🤔
@@cameronbartlett856 He mentioned putting it outside, which I am sure would include the sun. If the oil got warm enough it would get much lighter, I'm wondering if that would create more pressure on the hand, or at the very least stretch the balloon out more vertically.
It would be interesting to drain the ballon after the resin had dried. Instead of fhishingline, use a small tube connected to the ballon. Another thing witch would be cool is to have the lighting in the balloon.
That’s really cool👏
Thanks Mate
It's actually hot
Yeah would of been cool with the balloon bursted too!
One of those semi-transparent balloons with some glitter in the water, maybe some small amounts of dye, would make for an amazing light piece.
I honestly didn't think the balloon would hold up! Looks awesome. Good Job Ben!
Thanks Josh 😊
Somehow, seeing the thumbnail, I thought the hands would be way bigger 😂. But it turned out awesome anyway, well done 👍🏼
I love resins experiments so much. NO other channels do experiments with resin
Thankyou
I like that you didn't give up on the idea... you kept at it! And it turned out awesome. Great job!
The resin master has done it again! Bravo! 👏👏👏
Thankyou 😊
Well that was handy 😁
It is awesome !! So much better than my idea. I honestly thought “Watch it not float this time!” Ha! I will be a really cool night light. You could do a Winnie the Pooh themed one for a kid’s room!
Thankyou! I had the same thought because I put salt in again to lessen the balloons lift 👍
Hi Ben 👋 I always love watching your amazing creations 👍😊 I really don't understand why anyone would give you a thumbs down 🤷♀️ I think people who give thumbs down are jealous because they don't have your talent 😊
So glad you decided to do this suggestion! Absolutely stunning
Thanks Natasha
There seems to be an unintended mirror effect that makes it look like the forearm continues through the side. @ 8:12 you can see that the hand is never visible in the reflection and the wrist seems to form an elbow, same from the other side @ 8:36 really cool effect.
When the hand snapped I said 'Uh-oh' a few seconds before you did. Then when you tied the string to one finger I said "That'll never hold." Glad I was wrong on that one, excellent work.
Thanks Mate me too 👍😊
Looks great, Ben. That's what experimenting teaches us what will work n what wont. You could use this in all sorts of things. Love your videos mate. 👍👍👍👍🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Thanks Cathy 😊
When you said you asked Nicole to give you a hand that is not what I imagined, but it turned out fantastic :) One of your best in my opinion.
Thanks Carl 😊
In a thousand years when water is almost gone my guys is gonna have the last few drops in his resin 😂
That's not how water works at all-
Dont ruin it.
If you use tonic water you could get a really cool flourescent liquid inside the resin under UV light
Thank you for choosing my idea to do!! This was awesome to put an idea in the comments and effect the outcome of one of my favorite channels content!! As always, it looks great!!
Thanks Ryan 😊👍
Seeing the small hands & you having the knowledge to make as many as you want.
Me: Show me your hands, Boss
Looks Great.
What I don't understand is, why not make something similar, but fill the balloon with resin as well?
Maybe add a little fish inside the resin balloon so it looks to be floating. Or fill a balloon with resin and cast it in a mold so you can create multiple balloon themed sculptures?
Maybe be a glow in dark resin balloon with a mini Anglerfish in it's center of the resin case, while birds fly around it as if it's floating in the sky. I can already see a bird perched on it and looking down at the anglerfish. And cotton clouds near by. OH! Or a mini bat flying near it to fit the nightlight theme of the glowing resin balloon.
Anyone else see potential for an IT themed resin pour?
Oh I've already thought of Pennywise holding the balloon! Just a hand.... might be pennywise!
Came to the comments JUST for this 😂
Wow I think this is the coolest thing I have seen made on UA-cam. Excellent work!
I don't think I've ever commented here before, but I have to say that's the coolest thing I've seen you do! You have patience and talent, I'll be watching to see what you make next!
Thankyou! 😊
Oh hey I didn’t even realize you just uploaded, haha! Was wondering why the vid only had a few hundred views.
Hi 👋
Fantastic job, Ben! I cant wait to see more ideas with this concept. Really blown away by the results you managed to get from experimenting with the water balloons. I love the night light idea. I can imagine a closed fist hand holding multiple balloons, different colors, on a wood base with a light built in. Bring it to life!
Thanks Jeremy, yeah a night light would be awesome 👍😊
For me, your best cast/ video so far; seconded by the microwave experiment
Your projects and the music you use when you display the finished project are amazing 👏 👌 🙌 awesome
One day, that will technically be the cleanest water.
Not really, you can make the cleanest water right now, water is just the result of burning hydrogen in oxigen, and you can get the hydrogen from the water by electrolisis, so even if you had a ultra dirty water you could do electrolisis to it, collect the hydrogen and then burn that hydrogen in another container and get pure water, after that you add some minerals to make it drinkable o keep as it is if you want to dehydratate in the cleanest water ever.
This is by far my favorite piece you've done so far. I'm in love.
hands down the best pour
Make it a red balloon and have the hand look like it's wearing a weathered yellow rain coat perfect for a kids room
Have you considered an "Infinity cube" so basically reflective one way foil, around an object, so you can look in the cube but not through the opposite sides, causing the reflections to go on forever. That would have worked really well behind the hand.
one of the ideas i had for this is to cast the thing, then cover its cube of resin in the foil, then cast it in a slightly bigger cube so it doesnt distort. for the cube sizes, you could sand down the first cube so its smaller then put it in the same container to cast.
That is fantastic Ben! I love how excited you get when a project goes really well!
Love how it turned out. Looks great.
Thanks Kari
Maybe next time cast it with some waterproof leds in the ballon and the string be the cord and run the cord through the hand out and leading to the USB box. I will leave it to you to figure out how to seal the balloon 🎈 with the cord coming out.
That's great, Ben. I'm glad it worked this time. Two questions. Is there a reason you used epoxy instead of UV resin? Did those pliers do any damage to Nicole's hands? Take care.
Bill
Thanks Bill, I used epoxy because it can hold more weight, I think the one i used was 150kg holding power, unfortunately UV is nowhere close to this. Yeah it did chip the edge on one but Nicole hasn’t noticed 😬 (yet)
@@BensWorx
Hahaha...😅
These videos are awesome! I have always loved items in epoxy. You get the epoxy so clear it is magical. Thanks for sharing your brilliance with us.
I love your dedication to finding a way to cast water! Try a glass ornament filled with water and make a snow globe in this heat wave! lol
Thanks Lissy 😊👍
I'm not gonna lie, that's really fucking cool
man i love your accent it's so :)-ifying
One of the most realistic in capturing a moment in time and the child like feelings
Well done Ben! I think it's great with a hand holding a balloon. And the water stayed in the balloon! Thanks for sharing your creativity with me again. Stay safe, Vickie
Thanks Vickie 😊
This may sound stupid but could you cast "BACTERIA" or something. and see it grow over time. creating a climate...
Clearly the next thing to do is dress the hand up like a clown and make the balloon bright red.
That is a beautiful pour. I admire greatly your use of inquiry and lab skills.
Gotta hand it to you, you're becoming an expert on rubbers in resin
Keep up the great work
Thanks Richard 😊
the scale is a little off . other than that WOW !
This belongs in a museum. Well done!
That's so cool! Great build!
My favorite one so far!! I love the idea of lighting it.
Seriously cool. One of my favorite projects. Thank you
That turned out fantastic!! Cant wait to see what stuff you do next. Its always something really interesting or beautiful.
One of my favourite things you've made. Really cool.

That is extremely cool! I can't believe the balloon stayed intact.
Thanks Matthew, me neither 😊
