Every video I watch about Venmo shows the page on the demonstrators phone with the friends icon at the top by the $ button to use to accept payment or send money. I cannot find that page through any place in the app. It is not on my home page or the others pages linked at the bottom when I open the app up. Why?

Question: Once you choose a recipient and enter an amount, does selecting "Pay" immediately send payment? Or is there another page that comes up to review payment?
There is always a 2nd "review" type screen that appears after selecting either "Pay" or "Request". When selecting "Pay", the 2nd screen will the also give you the option pay using your Venmo balance, you bank account, or credit card. And there is also the option to treat the payment as a "purchase", which is what you might do if you were PURCHASING an item from a seller vs. simply PAYING a friend. Selecting the payment as a PURCHASE will also give you "buyer purchase protection" and will cause a small fee to be deducted from the payment proceeds to the seller (i.e. the seller will not receive the full $ amount that you sent).
September 2024 . App has changed design at least on my Iphone. Thanks. But if a lot of people get confused about the way the app works - good reason for a video - and bad design. That others can see your financial transactions is alarming.
I already have a VENMO account, I have paid someone and I have received money from someone. When I start the app, my screen looks nothing like what your screen. I am trying to transfer money back to my bank, but since my screen looks nothing like yours, I don't know what to do! How can I get help?

I had the same question. I just tried a test to send my wife some money and after you type in the amount and “Pay” your payment accounts show up for you to choose.
What does the money on the left mean??? Like when you make a payment and there money on the right and left??? Im confused and scared cause on the right its says $8.50 and on the left 5.00

I like to ask money transfer to my venmo account but was on hold cause it's si to speak from business account I was told more money is to be added to my venmo to complete the transaction the person said money was sent to my venmo card to complete a full total but to refund back the difference in taking the actual payment of the smaller amount how do I transfer back whar I don't have I dont have the amount supposedly sent to me to refund back the larger amount.

After 1 year, you ll get 1099 IRS letter from Venmo. You have to file tax anyway.. lol
