Hi. I think you are referring to the overlockerr foot. I used overlocker machine on this video. You can use overcast foot on a regular sewing machine then zigzag stitch or overlock stitch if you have that on your sewing machine.
Anyway I used "i Sew 722D" overlacker it's not a popular brand but it is very easy to tread

Less fabric is required when flap is at end. And is nice for pillowcases used on the bed pillows
