GW lawyers know more lore than most extreme fans and even GW writers themselves.

But isn't that technically lore accurate? The Chaos gods are entities born form the warp an made entirely of energy, so it would make sense that they don't have a defined physical appearance!
They do however have a form which can be perceived, but perhaps not completely undestood. There are bits and pieces in the lore about what the Chaos Gods could look like, for example it is generaly undestood that they resemble something close to their greater demons since they have been made in their image. But as far as I'm aware, only Nurgle has actually been seen by someone before in his "true" form in his gardens. Than again that was in Age of Sigmar, though it should hold true for 40k as well. I suspect the general idea would be that most - if not all - mortals can't comprehend what they are looking at and only see the embodiment of what the chaos god resembles. It is said that anyone who would look at Slaanesh would fall immediately. Perhaps a being like the God Emperor or an Eldar God like Khaine could actually perceive the form of the chaos gods, even hurt them or rather fight back in a more physical way.
They definitely have physically forms which are consistent with their Fantasy/AoS counterparts.
Tzeentch's is described in one of the Ahriman books (I forget which).
Khorne was punched by Skarbrand and he has official art in TW: Warhammer. (edit: it's pretty fucking hard to punch pure energy)
Nurgle's was seen in Age of Sigmar and has official TW: Warhammer art and has been described as looking like a huge and bloated Great Unclean One.
Slaanesh also has TW: Warhammer art and has some similarities to her Keepers of Secrets.
And, as an extra, the Great Horned Rat has full-body concept art for TW:WH3.

I think Slaanesh customizes EACH one of their's... something about making every single one a "unique master piece" 🤔... now, as for the rest... I think Khorne is often described as an "armored" creature with a beast-like head... Slaanesh is always shaped as "what you desire the most", and Tzeentch is supposed to be constantly warping, so maybe the only one it applies to would be Nurgle 🤨

Those images of the chaos gods and their consequences have been a disaster for the 40K lore community.

The four pictures GW (GameWorkshop creator) showing is a fan art interpretation of what the gods look like. But every 40& community uses it and artist using those 4 images of the gods as draw reference for videos or fan comic meme without knowing it’s unofficial
These images not only non-official, they are most likely not true. The gods of chaos, on the one hand, do not have a physical form as such, but there are many events in which they are mentioned. Demons are small parts of their gods and in fact the more exalted a demon is, the closer its form is to that of the corresponding god.
So Tzeentch's "true" form should be similar to a "bird" like almost all of his demons. But in the case of Tzeentch specifically, he is “dead”, there was an event of unification of the remaining gods against his power, after which Tzeentch was broken into millions of fragments (due to the impossibility of killing Chaos itself, the pure embodiment of which Tzeentch is), each became a spell that is used mortals. Which formally led to the victory of Tzeentch as mortals began to create endless new spells, making Tzeentch more and more powerful - at the same time he lost since no one is able to collect all the spells together to resurrect him (for new ones are endlessly created)
In this regard, Tzeentch is often depicted as a clouded "eye" in the heavens, indifferently watching what is happening (unlike other Gods who are prone to active actions) It is also worth noting that the event is described specifically in Fantasy Warhammer, although the Demons of both universes are the same

I believe there is """cannon""" artwork of the gods in one the Daemon Codexes, but I really dont like most of their designs there. It's a little... too much. Especially Slaanesh.
Honestly, the fact that fans use fan art as reference for the designs of the Chaos gods speaks volumes of how much GW has neglected their characters. Heck, moustache Dorn was considered cannon until an actual model came out.

Good. I always perferred the idea that their forms were nebulous and malleable. It is more interesting that the physical appearance of what are essentially sentient thoughts and emotions depended on the mind attempting to perceive them or a cultures representation of the idea of them.

Not related to the video, but I would love to see a model of any of the chaos gods, just to see the entire Warhammer community lose their minds.
Let me break down the implications: Having a model means that character is in the material realm, and a chaos god in the material realm would basically break down all of reality. It also means they have a single form, and the implications behind any of the gods, especially Tzeentch and Slaanesh, having a singular form is simply astounding.

To be fair, they are Deities taken form by those that worship them as the rules of the warp.
That would mean whatever the vast majority of believers think they look like, such as Slaanesh being the most beautiful and alluring being, that means whoever sees Slaany would take the form of what the viewer desires of Slaany to look like (Man,Woman,Trap,Tomboy,etc)
