    Solid review! I had this in my hand and almost bought it. I went with the SS34 instead for the draw cycle and shootability of SS.

    This actually happened to me I went into my archery dealer in Tullahoma Tennessee and shot three new bows Matthews Hoyt and BowTech. I’ve been a lifelong Matthew’s guy but I absolutely fell in love with this bow and have one on ordered, thanks for the info…great job

    I love the honest comments and no bias based on brand. I hate those videos of since I’m sponsored by Mathew’s or Hoyt I have to talk down other brands.

    I own both and have a hard time choosing which one I want to shoot that day😂

    Important review, cleared up a lot of my questions and I am sure a lot of questions over there on archery talk.
    Got treated like royalty, shooting it in your shop. I liked the CP28 more.
    Great job, thank you!

    How much smoother is the ss34 over sr350?

    • @ohiopremierarchery6800
      @ohiopremierarchery6800  Рік тому

      Depends on comfort vs performance mod. The SR is a speed bow, so the SS is going to be far more of a consistent draw cycle, which is what most people mean when they say "smooth".

    I shot the SR350 CP28 & the Revolt as well as the Mathews V3 X 33 and 29. Out of all those bows I liked the SR 350 the most. For me it balances and aims better than the rest of the other bows. But in my opinion they all shot very well and are all pretty easy to shoot

    Any idea on the speeds on the sr 350 and the x80 at a 26.5 draw length with a arrow around 440 grains? Thanks!

    • @OHtard
      @OHtard 3 роки тому +2

      446 gr arrow. Both on performance, 26.5 draw
      SR 350 261fps
      X80 276

    Was the comparative speed test done at the same poundage for the sr350 and revolt x80? Or was the revolt x80 set all the way to 80 lbs? Thanks!

    Great review. What were you shooting for a release ?

    I heard you guys talking about the RPM 360. That is what I currently shooting right now. I’m thinking about getting the SR350. When you have time could you test the SR350(performance) vs RPM 360 at 28.5 draw length and 470 grain arrow?

    • @noahkrull9347
      @noahkrull9347 2 роки тому

      Also solution(performance) same draw length and arrow weight, all at 70lbs?

  • @thats_law

    I know this is crazy but could you put the 80# limbs on the sr350

    • @ohiopremierarchery6800
      @ohiopremierarchery6800  3 роки тому +2

      Aside from voiding warranties, I would definitely not recommend that. Plastic limb pockets on the SR350 + speed cams. I don't imagine that going well.

    Very cool video! I agree with the flip disk on it. And the performance is pretty harsh (at least for me). The 80 was a really hard (but smooth) draw for me, on performance but I did like it too. Keep up the fun videos!

    Which Stan release are you shooting at the beginning of the video?

    Doesn't the X80 have a higher brace height than the SR350 ?

    So at the shorter draw length on performance, this bow is 13fps under its IBO rating of 333 for that draw length. I also assume these are the “new” mods Bowtech sent out after this bows disappointing release? Had really high hopes for this particular bow as I love speed bows.
    At this point, every bow review of the ‘22 models has them significantly under IBO at hunting weight arrow (420-480) except the Athens reviews. Each one of those has the bows shooting over their IBO rating for those weight arrows. Kudos to Athens.

    • @quantumeraser4833
      @quantumeraser4833 2 роки тому +1

      What ??
      IBO is: **30 in DRAW LENGTH** / 70#/ 350 Grain Arrow.
      So a Bow can't be "UNDER" it's IBO Rating on a Shorter Draw Length than 30" ... Because, wait for it... THAT'S NOT AN IBO RATING !!!
      Good Lord

    • @sheyanderson4371
      @sheyanderson4371 2 роки тому +1

      IBO is just an arbitrary number and calculators for specs other than exact IBO won't ever be accurate because there are too many variables. According to a calculator, yes, you are correct at his draw length with a 350g arrow, it is 13fps shy according to the calculator. With the 415g arrow it falls 10fps short, but then with the 597g arrow it surpasses IBO by 5+fps. The bow becomes more efficient as arrow weight increases. All bows will have different efficiencies and that's why reviewers are doing speed tests with setups other than IBO.

    • @o.n.e.wayhunting
      @o.n.e.wayhunting 2 роки тому

      @@sheyanderson4371 I agree that calculators are only so accurate, but they will give you a baseline expectation. They just mis advertised the bow, as it was a 337 IBO bow at best. Good bow, love the cam tuning features, just disappointed in the speed.

    • @sheyanderson4371
      @sheyanderson4371 2 роки тому

      @@o.n.e.wayhunting It hit 348fps in this video and 350 @ IBO is what was advertised, so that baseline was advertised and marketed accurately. It may not have hit in your arrow range, but it hits above at heavier setups, which means more efficiency. If you compare it to the Athens Vista 33, it is very similar with only 70# limbs compared to Vista's 80#. Also, rotating draw mods and fixed let-off are going to have different results and efficiencies than bows with fixed mods and adjustable let off.

    Yes try the bow on speed setting and feel how harsh it feels on that Mod.. I didn't like it. . I have the Solution , SR6, rpm360 and this sr350 just didn't feel that special imo..The part that gets me is BTech and dealers saying it's so smooth! Speed never fealt so good!haha

    I would take the Athens over this. Speed on the Athens with the 597 grain arrow was 261fps and the draw cycle looks so much smoother and cleaner when compared to this, especially in performance.

      They are person to person, but I cant say I disagree with that. Athens is impressive
