My first mod, or what ever you could call it is going to be using an old duo-touch tablet computer, mounted in a nice wooden case using an old stereo left over from the 80's for an amp, and mounting the speakers out of the speaker cases inside a tallish case and using a jukebox program freely available on the web to make a jukebox for my back room. Perhaps the same thing could be done with a raspberry pi computer and a touch screen of some sort, not sure. I do woodwork, and back in the day I used to repair televisions, well the type with tubes as a part time deal when in the Army. So my background is more cobble then hack but I think it should make a nice one, and with the bright LED's I am going to try and make something like I used to listen to back in the 60's when I was a kid.

I think removable media will probably stay for the near future, but I can see something like an external hard drive bay instead of a CD drive, with a SATA 3 connection and 2.5" SSDs storing games. Flash memory is dropping fast. SSDs were, not too long ago, 200-250$ for a 128 GB drive, where as now you can get them for about $1 = 1 GB. As flash continues to drop, I can easily see us going back to "cartridges" in the form of SSDs instead of carts. Pirating would be an issue except for encryption.

Great series of shows, really aimed at the hacker at heart, I love the router you have, currently I am about to build a bigger mill and the size you have is a bit bigger than what I was going to use, the question is what is the plastic-foam you are using to prototype the cases, this stuff you are using is super cool. Just hoping I can find it in Australia.
    Keep the hacking spirit alive.
