Hi have you ever heard of some one using chest protection for chainsaw kick back I'm an example of that or it made an example out of me made a really dumb mistake and it kicked squar into my chest and threw me backward I got the whole block thrown square in my rib cage I like the added protection especially when sawing for more than a few hours.
When sizing is it mostly about height or, for lack of better word, girth. For example I am 5' 10" but I am a big boy at 220lbs and 38 waist pants, 44 suit jacket. So is that a L or XL?
What kind of roost guard are the guys like Axell Hodges and some of the pros who wear Seven gear running? If any. The jerseys look sweet when they’re pretty tight to the body and it looks like a lot of the guys wearing the Seven gear don’t have any kind of chest protection. Do you guys know what they’re wearing, if anything?
Thats a good question, we'll have to ask him what he wears next time we see him. But I believe it would be too tight to wear something under the compression jersey, now you could easily wear something low profile underneath the Over Jersey, such as the Alpinestars Sequence or even Seven makes this www.btosports.com/dirt-bike-gear/seven-mx-zero-sleeveless-roost-guard
Josh Clark they don’t wear chest protectors at all but I’ve seen amateurs wear the alpinestars a1 over the compression portion then the vest over the the chest pro for a clean look. Seven also makes a compression jersey with a form of roost protection built in
The A1 Alpinestars has a CE level rating. They also make a protector called the A4, that is on our site, I believe the back on that has a level 2 rating ! Also, that Fox Titan subframe, the one shown in this video does not, its the lower price point, Fox also offers this in a CE rated shell, but at $119.95
Hi Trevor ! Well, the A1 does come with light/small shoulder pads that may have been cut out of this video, but you can see what they look like if you look at the A1 Roost guard page on our site. Everything else will be similiar/small, not providing much protection. If you really need strong shoulder protection and don't want to wear a protection jacket, the Alpinestars Bionic Chest protector has SOLID shoulder cups, which are removable as well. This can be worn under a jersey...or over.
Great question, it really comes down to personal preference though. Most moto or supercross guys will prefer the A-1, like myself. The A-4, especially the back is pretty thick / dense, a little much for what most riders want for motocross. Now off-road riding, rocky areas, etc the A-4 would probably be more preferable.

Just curious on what under the jersey chest protector you would recommend for high impact.
For Downhill and stuff? If yes i‘d recommend the fox raceframe d3o it fits under the jersey, is really comfortable and it’s extremely lightweight

NoPro Dad some are under jersey and some aren’t, most of the time when you’re buying it it will tell u if it’s under or over
