Man I'm so damn excited for the customization haha
Great work man! I had the XXG-01W wing Gundam kit when it came out! I got it at a discount because the box had been opened. I was 5 and had no idea what Gundam was but when I saw giant flying robot, oooh man I fell in love. Been building ever since! Thank you for the nostalgia and the great content!
But in the movie gunplay build divier thd main character riku call it 00 skt
Wow, I didn't know this thing was rare, I have this old guy laying around in my box of gunpla, for him out a couple years ago, cleaned him up and panel lined him and his wings, I've had him, death scythe custom, and nataku for years, never knew they were anything special, makes me sad that nataku is a little broke, scythe is missing his scythe, and wings beam sabers are gone. Gonna have to clean em up more and display em.
i hav a pg wing zero custom lol bc my uncle didnt know how to build gunpla so he gave it to me XD
holy crap. This was the kit that got me into gunpla when i was really young. So nice to see it again!
Same here, Crazy thing is I still have mine lol
I just startarted building Gundams 2 weeks ago, my aunt gave me one of her kits. The kit that she gave me is exacly the same as the gundam you build and reviewed, the old Gundam Wing. Its crazy to think that this thing is older than me (I was born in 2002)
I had this exact kit as a kid. God this brings back good memories.
I love these older hgs. You can put them together in a couple of hours. I love the beefy proportions. And if you want to make it look amazing theres a lot of work to do! Cool challenge
Bro, this was THE kit! This was the first kit I ever purchased, on a whim, from the toy section of a department store. It's the kit that started my obsession, and I've been building ever since. Love this.
Mine was the original MG version (from Walmart, I think, that or Target), and my dad and I had *no* idea how to even get it out of the runners without breaking it... which we ultimately did. 😅 Then I quit until exactly a year ago, when I bought the MG ver Ka, on a whim, from the Target online store, not knowing it was a model kit (I s$$t you not), and, somehow, managed to *not* biff it. Seeing as I was a total noob, turned out pretty damn good (thank *GOD* )!
I think this kit came out before 2000, I remember building it back in 1997. I still have the same kit, my son plays with it now.
Great vid! It's once to see an older kit once in a while. You should see what we had to build back when I got started in 1986, before there even WERE such things as HG, MG, etc. No color separation, minimal panel lines, no polycaps, maybe 5 or six points of articulation... It was an interesting time :)
Try building the original 79/80 kits ( 20 years before even fg was a thing ) I still love them today and get them whenever I see them along with any other old kits ,sure the newest kits look better in every way but when displayed along side the latest version you can see the evolution over 40 years of gunpla
I actually have an HG 1/100 Wing Gundam Zero and Gundam Epyon also from 2000. They were the very first gunpla kits I ever built and I still have them sitting on a shelf to this day.
and its been years i did not see him i just put in my gunpla box and some othere gunpla and thank you for remember the gunpla
Hehe miss your face bro! That was a lekker review! This kit is actually 25 years old, first released in 1997! Man how far BANDAI has evolved hey~? Looking forward to see how you customise it! Keep Building Joy!
Yeah, I remember buying this when it first came out in 1997.....Gosh I am old.
After seeing this video I took out my wing, dusted him off, added,a bit of color and panel liner. I can't wait to see what you do with yours!
I look forward to receiving my GPaint in the mail and thanks for making my night!
Awesome review! Loved the edits (especially the returning of parts to the bins). Would love to see more reviews so I know what kits I should check out.
I accidentaly found your channel while looking for mini painting tutorials and now i just ordered my first ever gunpla kit to start in this hobby, love your work and your passion.
Damn I had that model kit way back when endless waltz first hit the u.s
Love the vid, found mine at a random convention years ago, had no instructions and so it came with a discount got Gundam Nataku 1/100 HG with it too and used the instructions from that to build it. Best day ever!
I really wanted to get this kit back in 99 or 2000. I can't remember what year it was. I was getting it at the EB store in the mall. But I wanted the first Gundam I watched to be the Gundam F91. If it weren't for that OVA I wouldn't have given the OG Gundam a watch. So instead I bought the tallgeese 3 and the serpent custom. Still have them to this day built and sitting in their boxes. I should pull them out and sand them down and paint them because I was just a dumb kid back then and didn't know anything about what I know to do now. lol, Funny. It took me till Oct 2021 to get my First Gundam and it was the F91 2.0. I have to say. The wait was well worth it and super enjoyable to build. I also got the Byarlant Custom as well. Now, I want do my first kitbash with the Byarlant, with Lupus Rex, tallgeese, and Serpent Custom parts. A project I fear I'll never get to do. Due to a combination of USA issues and unavailable/out-of-print kits. The frustration was so bad I was thinking of starting my own printing shop arrange some business with Bandai to help bypass some of the shipping costs and customs waits.
My first set of Gpaint just arrived a few days ago, first model paint I’ve bought. I hope to do great things with it and my gunpla! Thanks for making something that intimidated me with ratios and intense precision so much simpler! Never stop building!
the special coating version of the MG from around the same era was my first MG kit. fond memories
I remember buying this model kit at Toys R Us back in the day. It was my very first gunpla.
These kits were the most amazing things I’d ever seen back then.
I love the review!! Super honest and to the point. This kit is a year older than I am lol
funny thing this was posted. i literally just built me a few days ago. it was the special operations version with the pearl in the injection. my cousin gave it to me when it first came out but i didnt like the pearl so i never made it. i got bored so i dug it out and made it.
Beware of GPS the legs and the wings are very susceptible to it and that is how mine broke. Eh at least I can make it into a Destroyed version but I had mine for three years and it's legs and wings in particular are messed up and very brittle.
this was the first gunpla i ever built way back in the 90s. I wish i still had it.
I like this video, the asmr, the step by step build, and the new revers dumpung the pieces before taking the nubs off. The review part was fun. I like the pose shots too.
This was a fun review! Had some humor here and there and really just captures my attention. Do more pls! Loved it!
Dudee i like the parts of the review it feels fresh and as always great explaination. I would love to watch another honest review 🔥🔥🔥
I just recently bought this kit from an old surplus shop. And a perfect timing to see this in my recommendations. Please do more reviews on rare gunpla kits
I luckily bought a non grade 1/100 ZGMF-X42S Destiny Gundam with the limited edition standee. And I would love too see someone make a list of rare gunplas
looking forward for the customization video for this kit :D more power to you sir!
I remember my older brother used to build model kits when he was in college. He builds HG 1/100 EW kits. He's the person who inspired me into gunpla building when i was a kid. I wish we could build kits together. Btw nice build G, keep it up! 🙌
im getting back into building gundams, i did a rg wing zero kit in 7 hrs and my fingers were screaming 2 days after XD love your videos!
I got that kit too! So glad to see this! Maybe I'll go mod mine now.
Please Studio G customize Barbataurus. I'm a fan of your videos.
love this asmr like build ... combined with this high quality camera setup .... its just so relaxing
Nice to see you again.
I will waiting for your next never stop building.
I got many technic from your video so thx a lot
Its nice to see you review older kits. Looking forward to how you will transform this kit.
Man, I remember the real old school kits of the 80s. I sometimes think I must have been the first American gunpla builder, because I started in the Zeta era.
I have the wing, the deathscythe and the shenlong HG from that era. I must have been +/- 12 years old when I bought them :). My very first Gunpla... I keep them preciously with the project of customizing them when I judge to have the sufficient level (lengthen the thighs, add details, complete painting, etc).
Looking forward to that one actually, its a rare and unique kit as you said. It will be and interesting experiment to see it get upgraded, especially like you said the wing parts.
One of the first models I've ever built, still have it too! Great video.
I have this Gundam, same year model. I did a lot of panel lining for it. Especially the wings.😎👍
I got a kit from 1987, and 93. The 87 needs some serious work to look decent as it’s moldings were sticking out on every edge, abs it has almost no detail. Then I got another I haven’t built yet. Gun blaster I believe it’s called.
I still have mine. Built, stored in box, painted kinda badly, but was a labor of love between my g/f at the time and I. Memories, man. Meanwhile, I'm looking at my Gusion and Barbataros and it's wild seeing how things have improved over the years.
Awesome review, I think u got the gist of how to talk about a Gundam after customing so much gunpla. I think u could be an amazing toys review in the future.
Nice. I own that one. Also the TV versions of Wing, Deathscythe, and Shenlong that are like 1/100 no grades. Blasts from the past.
This is awesome ! Would love to see the reviews during the speed builds !😎
Looking forward when you're done customizing it. Really looking forward to it.
When Studio G uploads:
A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one
Great video, love the way you did this one with more of you talking through the kit. You should do that a bit more on the normal builds to
It would be cool to review every kit before costumization. Amazing job StudioG!
Please do more of these face to face video. It make the video so much more interesting and engaging
I like the review format; very interesting
I had the 1/100 Deathscythe 'H.' Custom when Gunpla was widely available in America. The 2nd kit I've ever built, I did everything to it, even painted the figure with canvas paint. It had pretty much the same problems as this kit plus loose ball joints.
Amazing work good Job!!!
I like having the review part at the end of this straight build video, it makes me more driven to watch. Straight build videos are not really that interesting to me because I dont feel the creative merit in it. I want the content maker to add their part to the video either with their personality, customization, or really creative video editing.
I can straight build my own things if I want to see that, but I can't quite customize as good as you yet, and I dont quite have your personality so that's what I want to experience.
dude just made me feel like a dinosaur, i had this kit in HS lol
This is so satisfying to watch
My 1st Gundam model kit.
I like the new reverse track man, EPIC
I like this kind of content. Nice vid bro 👍
Great review 👍 I'd really enjoy seeing you review more
How cool I have 2 of the later version they made! Ironically it's actually my profile picture. This is history! I actually preferred the one in this vid!
Awsome!!
I’d love to get my hands on that
I've never heard of a hg 1/100 before, but definitely looks cool!
Nice job it looks good im working on a kit from 1998 right now and its really different from the kits of today
it's really nice to see a chinese gunpla builder on youtube, most of them are on bilibili, now I have a favourite youtuber!
also make a load astray Ω when it releases
I had EVERY HG 1/144 Gundam Wing AND Endless Walts model Kit from when the Anime came out. Those were the good days…….
To see this old kits once again!! 🤩
There were no HG 1/144 wing hits back then. HG was 1/100 and 1/144 were No Grade.
This thing is rare? Huh. Neat. I have it sitting up on my shelf.
Can we get more, please? Love your approach to this review. Thanks for the reminder how old some of us are getting 😁
Some of us can still remember watching the original series when it first aired on western TV late in 79 early 80
I have this kit. I started it 22 years ago....
Never fails to impress💪🔥, keep up the good work bro✨
(Okay I'm going to date myself) I remember building that kit when it came out, and I still have it and the Tallgeese HG kit as well
Great video and yes pleaso do more vids like this
very niceeeee !
Sir can you do a customized zoid, any kind of zoids I think it would be awesome 😲😆
good work
ok nicely done bro... hg 1/100 death scythe hell custom next haha, my very first 1/100.. so damn back then, kinda missed that kit.. XD
My first Gundam set was the Wing Gundam! Though mine was a MG version of this, and I lost the stickers for it while I was moving houses
I have this one… never knew how rare it was! It’s sadly falling apart more and more, might need to touch it up sooner than later ;)
I remember building this when it came out. 😅
Wing gundam awesome as always..
Have you made any videos on how to fix deep cuts on parts? This video was fun to watch btw :)
I bought that at toys r us when I got student of the month in 4th grade lol talk about memories
I would love to see a brief summary or review of the kit before you customize it
dang i did not know that a rare gundam i got that when came out too
I like the review.
Honestly, I think the two MGs and RG are the best bet to get model kits of the Wing Zero EW. However though, I am very interested in building one of the HG 1/100s (namely from Wing or X).
Try making an elvish look (if you're interested in customizing it, just a suggestion since it has been giving me elvish feels especially the head)
I am a simple person
I see your videos and i press the like button
When you have this at my school back then, all kids wanna play with you.
I still have my original model of that gundam, bought it at Toys R Us.
I wish i could buy these too hahaha btw great video wish that you can get more subs your inspiring me hahaha
Don't know if you'd feel like doing it, but can u do a customisation for the eg strike gundam (full package ver.) I'm looking into starting gunpla and I want to see what kind of details I could maybe add to this gundam as my first one, and aslo, great work on the video as always, can't wait to see when this is fully customised🤗
I'm still holping the next GM Sniper 2.0 from you will come soon >0
Cool
I hope everyone is having a great day.
I think my friend had this kit and we built it over a weekend. Tried doing panel lining with a fine point sharpie...it didn't work out too well
