So you don’t actually „fill“ any fluid into the can, like you would on a fork ?
Thanks for the great video
Wow, that was a life saver. I'd unscrewed my fox ctd to install a 0.6mm yellow spacer. I couldn't get the can closed tho when on the bike! The sleeve was very hard to slide back.I thought it was 'stuck down' or something. After putting in the vise like you show I realised I could compress the entire shock and that helped. Done now cheers
Rob Bradshaw the bottom of that sleeve is the negative air chamber and it’s hard to squeeze down because when you push it down it sucks in air but it tries to compress air on the way up.
I felt that my Fox Dpx2 was just a harsh feeling shock. However using slickoleum grease/Sram butter on dust seal made a huge difference in suppleness and small bump sensitivity. I thought it was just me but when I've done air car services I only used fox float fluid like fox recommends and it never really felt that better. Nowhere can I find that fox says use grease on seals even watching on their official videos. Using just that little bit of grease makes the shock feel absolutely amazing. SRAM BUTTER...MAKING FOX SHOCKS FEEL AMAZING. LOL
After pumping 120 psi back there would be less pressure in the shock than there were when he initially checked the pressure before starting the maintenance procedure.
One quick question, why didn't you use the whole pillow pack fluid? I thought you are supposed to put the whole thing before you screw the air can back
Hi Karanjy, I think this was a filming/editing error and we had multiple sachets when shooting. But you don't have to use all of the sachet, as long as you have added most of it this will have the desired effect.

Mojo Suspension Alright, thanks for the info
I followed these instructions and I applied more float fluid than shown. I used 3ml max.
Awesome video! Thank you so much. I rebuild all sorts of dirt bike engines, but was worried about pulling this shock apart ha.
Great video; very clear. Just finished the first air sleeve service on my Fox DPS.
Did everything as in the video twice, still noise is like a sand rubbing inside... When i open the can the oil is bubbly is it ok?? Checked the seals and everything is fine. I dont have big clamps and i do everything with my hands. Maybe the problem that is i cannot push and rotate in first try and i push couple of times till i manage to screw up the can? I dont know to be exact...
Maybe a silly question but is this the same if you have auto-sag ?
If my rear shox is leaking oil will this fix it and do I need to put more oil in it?
very nice , excellent and simple way on HOW TO, thank you!
Is is the same for the DPX2 shock?
Thank you for the video! (You didnt put that last o ring back on)
My air can is on so tight that I literally can’t remove it on the bike not even with a strap wrench. And I don’t have a Vice so it’s looking like I gotta go to the bike shop
Does anyone know what the id of the x2 float 267mm sleeve is?
Hi, I’m stuck with a customers rp23 and it will not twist apart. I have tried it in a vice, I have tried it in a vice using an oil can wrench, I even tried to heat the cap up a bit with a heat gun to see if it would expand enough to let go.
Any other suggestions? I’m definitely turning the body counterclockwise and the air is released.
Well done mate, quick, easy and clear. thank you
suprised that u didnt cleaned the dust sealings any reason ?
I've just spent £120 with you guys for a service, first ride after and the bottom seal has started to come off the air can what is the service guarantee?? Please
Sorry for the delay. We have 90 day service guarantee. Please feel free to return the shock and we will rectify the problem ASAP. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Cheers,
Tom W | Mojo Suspension
doesn't need to change oil inside?
Fox Pumps link is broken. :(
yeah im long overdue, its been 3 years since i have done this aha
Is this procedure the same on a Fox Float DPS 2016 shock? Thanks.
Yes it is.
Cheers,
Tom W
Do you have to use the fox fluid or does regular suspension oil work? What is the weight of the fox fluid?
We recommend only using FOX Float Fluid.
what happens if the Propedel lever on a Fox RP 2 is in the propredal position (locked out) when you are putting the air in?
Is there a video on the rebound adjuster? Mine came out and I managed to get it back in, but it's not adjusting the rebound and stuck open mode. Any assistance will be appreciated
If you did what I did, you may have lost the detent ball & spring

I have a 185x52.5 DPS Factory and my new frame uses 185x55. Can I increase the stroke in my shock.
Hey my dps squeaks as I’m pedalling would this re lube fix the squeak?
Hi just want to know any rear fox shock same in maintenance procedure?
Can the pump be for different forks/ shocks or does it have to be fox
You can use any brand high pressure shock pump.
Dont use any old grease. It needs to be the correct stuff. If you don't have it, just use float fluid where he's using the grease.
ive opened my air can today on dpx2 2019 as was very sqeakeee and was much more oil in there and im wonder why?? any help would be much appriciated
Old oil becoming airated?
Siadwell ?
I have a Fox float r from 2004, is it basically the same method?
Yes it is.
Cheers mate, much appreciated...
What about changing the oil inside? Is it necessary?
This is just to keep the dust wiper seals clean and lubricated. We recommend a full service annually where we change the oil and internal seals. Check out the service intervals here - www.mojo-store.co.uk/PBCPPlayer.asp?ID=1736880.

I have a tub of Bel-Ray WaterProof Grease can I use that instead of Slick Honey?
I wouldn't that stuff is too thick. something like slickoleum could work, it's a light grease
Is this the same procedure for a float x?
Yes it is.
Solid videos.
Thanks Justin.
Is it bad to use 20WT Fox Gold fluid for this?
I wouldn't recommend it, the Float Fluid is much thicker and the preferred option.
Cheers, Tom / Mojo Suspension
Float fluid is something like 80-90wt, 20wt will be too thin and might leak.
you have a video of GRIP 2 2019 lower leg service
Same as any other lower leg service
Oil the threads
Midle mainece...he don clean the botom of de chock
