Good to see they took some of the best features that Lowrance has been offering for a while and incorporated them into the units. Im running Lowrance but thinking of switching over, so this makes it easier to transition if I do
Just upgraded to a Solix 15 G2N from a helix 10 G2N. Cant wait to start playing with it.
Thanks! Love the fav 5 shortcut! Didn't know about double touch shortcut. Cool! Was told you can do upgrade with your smartphone via bluetooth. But saw the files are close to a Gig byte so you need good cell signal.
Now all they need to do is bring that big price tag down 15 or 20 percent, and the Solix will be the ultimate unit on the market!
Been watching over a dozen videos Doug, excellent job! I moved to buying a Helix 9 to a SOLIX 10 now. You do a lot of installations, and I have seen others as well. Questions: For costs is it better to do the installation yourself instead of having the boat mfg. do the installation? I will be buying a boat (Tracker Pro Team 190/195 TX TE) and adding upgrades (for example, Ultrex, Humminbird Solix 10 (console), Helix 9 (bow), Jack plate), so do I do the upgrades or have them do it?
I like do my own it's not hard but labor intensive. But I want to know exactly how my units are wired and done the way I want them.
Are you able to upload photos of your own to use as the wall paper?
Do you use 3 birds at the console or was that just for video
I use them for different features and have variety of different generations to help others too
Doug please confirm whether 3.360 allows you to search for a waypoint by name? ie. opens a keyboard to type in your waypoint name?
Can you post a video showing the engine data being displayed on the solix?
Have they added any functionality to the waypoint management? Like being able to search by name for a waypoint?
I have not tried all the new functions and features and will do some exploring and try to add that to some future videos. I know Humminbird PC has added search features.
HPC doesn’t work with solix data....
