2019 & this is still one of our standard items to throw on the grill along with whatever else we are eating. Potatoes go great with burgers, ribs, chicken, porkchops, etc... Anything really. Great job ~ 😋

Hey Jason! Just wanted to Say man, I made the Side dish with, BBQ Pork, Steak, And Mixed Vegetables. My Family Loved it Man!!! Thanks for the Recipe. I didn't have The Onion Mix, Minced Garlic, And Green Peppers......... So I substituted With Fresh Cut Onions, Salt, Pepper, Butter, And Garlic Powder, I also Added Some Oregano ! Thanks!!

I'm just now viewing this it's 2017 and this is a fabulous recipe. I've never actually done the foil trick before. Is it possible to do this in the oven also since I don't grill? And if I do that a half hour on each side would I put the temperature at 350° or 400°? Looking forward to hearing from you take care Carrie.
It’d work better on a baking tray in the oven, in my opinion ! Turning after approximately 30 mins.
If that's a gas grill, place some wood in foil and let it smoke. Open those potatoes toward the end and let it get that Smokey flavor.
I make this all the time but I parboil my potatoes the night before. It cuts down on time. 15 mts each side.
What temp should this be grilled at? Low? Medium? High?

Great recipe but just so you know the dull part of the foil should be on the inside (where the food is).
I have never heard what you are suggesting so I googled it. Apparently the two sides are different shades due to the manufacturing process so it doesn't matter which side is touching the food, they both have the same properties.
I was told the shiney side reflects the heat away and to put the dull side on the outside.

Chuck Finley If it’s non-stick foil the dull side is where the coating is applied during manufacturing to prevent the food from sticking to the foil. Hence why you should have the food touching the dull side.
@@elway41177 using non stick foil is the only one that is different but we weren't talking about that. And my statement remains the same. Even using non stick foil, the food would cook the same on either side (going off the comment that the shiny side reflects the heat 😂)

At what temp do you recommend grilling on??
Not sure on the temp, but medium heat on the knob should be sufficient. You’ll probably hear the potatoes sizzling while it’s cooking. Grills also vary in temp. I hope that helps.
