My only reading goals this year were to read - Berserk - get up to date (there were tears, especially in the final chapter that Miura wrote before his death 😢) The Walking Dead - read the complete story via the compendiums Find a new Manga to love - found Witch Hat Atelier Read more Cormac McCarthy (he's flippin' incredible!!!) Poirot stories - start reading/listening to the books and read them all eventually. Have read the first 2, and my daughter told me that Hugh Fraser (who played Captain Hastings in the excellent series) is the narrator of the audio books I'm listening to, and he's fantastic! Find new authors to read - listened to some Grady Hendrix books, and T. Kingfisher and Brom (the latter is my favourite!) Wuthering Heights - reread Dune - read finally with the help of Libby audiobook and immersive reading 🙂 Done all of these, and in total read 103 books, which is really great for me since it wasn't too long ago that I came out of my reading slump. A lot of Manga, which helped with that, and about 1/2 the books I read were audio books (thanks to my daughter for introducing me to Libby, a great free way to experiment with different authors and genres.) Will be 104 or 105, as I will complete McCarthy's The Crossing by end December, and Junji Ito's Manga version of No Longer Human.
It sounds like you’ve had an amazing year and accomplished so many goals, that’s amazing!! 💖 How are you liking No Longer Human? I read a few Junji Itos in October and they were sooo freaking good!!
@@ExLibrisKari Thanks 🙂 I've just started No Longer Human, so very early days, but good so far. Junji Ito is incredible, and I'm glad you found him (I recommended him to you a couple of times, too tee hee) and hope you read Uzamaki, which is my favourite!
I think you had a great year! Good job. And your shelves look incredibly beautiful❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much!! 💖
