I know it's been a loooong time since I've uploaded a proper video. To be honest I've felt pretty disconnected from the community at large and from wanting to do videos. I'm starting to get back into it a little bit but I wanted to come back with something a little different. If I had known P-2 would have dropped when I wanted to upload this I would have gotten this out soon. More ULTRAKILL related content to follow in the next few days. Thanks everyone!

Ok I didn't play the original but this thoroughly intrigued me just from the amount of features in the demo alone. Maybe when I get a far better computer I'll end up buying it. Hopefully most of the demo features stay in the full remake.

I kinda hope since knives get durability that you can find replacement blades and maybe even some better knives.

I'm more curious about how speedrunners are gonna do this. The original RE4 was a great game for speedrunning due to glitches like Ditman. The remake almost looks like a completely different game, but more fluid, and the knife having a durability meter is interesting. I don't think we've had to replace or repair our knife in an RE game before.
From the looks of things, it's like they took inspiration from the Dead Space Remake. Keeping the core the same but adding a lot of nice QoL and features to it.
I'll so stoked for the final product. I'm glad it seems like there's some remakes out there that just improve upon their predecessors without cutting things down.
Can you make a video on p-2? I can beat sisyphus but it's very inconsistent because its hard to understand his attack patterns because half of them aren't in your view. I'm struggling so much to p-rank the level because the intro is really hard and sisyphus makes like no sense. It's cool seeing a comparison between RE4 and the remake too though!
I can back up the repeated normal parry stagger I've done it a few times. Interestingly it is always on those two starting enemies never in the village fight, likely just a coincidence
Im glad they kept the corny one liners, adds so much to the feel the original had, the only game those are tolerable.

Wait, how did you got TMP in the demo? o_O
You gotta discard everything in your inventory before you enter the village and you can't pick anything up. Once you enter there's a small well behind the cow barn that opens up and when you climb down you get the TMP and a butter knife. Once the TMP is unlocked you'll keep it on subsequent playthroughs of the demo.

Beyond being awesome, are suplexes more deadly to enemies than kicks?
I'm not sure, I think they might be considering their necks snap. I think they were deadlier in the original too.

Parrying is a new mechanic in the remake!
@@HerbMessiah thanks, I should have finished the video before commenting. Great video, have been replaying the demo as well a couple of times and didn’t notice the parry mechanic or find the TMP. Looking forward to more RE 4 content once the game is out.
at 9:50 i would have to assume it uses the same stagger system as shooting, so if you get an imperfect parry any followup shots will stagger faster. only assumed though

being loving this game recently this game honestly feels like an arena shooter just designed with the rezinted evil mechanics in which is what the original felt like it was trying to do for me but it just added tank controls to just make the game hard because i guess the devs couldnt come up with anything else and i dont hate how leon controls on his own i hate how the enemys work which makes leons movement feel clunky
