Wow, your solution for the Straw Hat symbol on the sail was pretty damn brilliant. I messed up the decal as well and use the sticker which looks horrible so I’ll try painting it on as well. The fact that you painted it on the sail makes it look much better and more realistic. Fantastic job!
Thank you very much! 😁 The decal is really hard to put on because of the size, not sure how I happened to put it on my Thousand Sunny build. At the end of the day, it's a beautiful accident for me. I'm hoping you can fix yours! 🤟🏻
@ArtyShan I’m gonna do the same thing as you did and just paint it on. It will probably look much better than the decal. I already put on the sticker on the back and drew the outline for later.

Wonderful work sir, enough to inspire me to build Going Merry!!! Please tell me, did you use the solvent for Mr weathering when wiping clean ? Thank you, and once again, great work!!
Hi, thank you for sharing, your video is amazing! this is my first time trying to paint plastic model, can I use the acrylic paint I usually used on canvas??
Thank you! 😄 Sorry, but I'm not sure if acrylic paints used on canvases are the same as the acrylics used for model kits. Probably it'll work as long as the plastic was primed?
Thank you so much! I completely missed that even though I watched the video several times. I think I just imagined it to be a spray product 😅 this will be my first model so I’m very grateful for you and this video! I’m learning so much. I’m also curious, how has your model held up so far without primer?
Probably, I didn't mention this on the video, but I did spray over the kit with a topcoat, so it'll act as a substitute for primer 😁 The paint job is still the same up until now, there's just a few chip marks under the ship (keel) due to friction whenever I do pull out the kit from its base. Good luck with your first kit! Just enjoy the process.
Thank you so much! 😁 Indeed, those errors turned out great 👌🏻 I'm not entirely sure how many hours I spent on this kit but it took me a month working on this one.
What paint colors/brands, Brushes did you use? I already built mine, and Im planning to Paint it sometime when i Buy the proper tools. also how do you remove the Excess Plastic on the parts? like the parts where you Cut it, and theres like Some kind of Plastic left there. Did my best to Hide it
Hello! 😁 I used vallejo paints on this build. For the excess plastic (nubs), I just tried my best to cut it cleanly, but painting it over solves the problem for me. I'm not that good with nub removal but most of the great builders out there are using different grits to file those nubs.

Hi, great job, the flag is spectacular. after seeing your work I feel less alone in where to face mine. I have a lot of questions, the first one: did you remove the junction lines of the trees always with mr. surfacer 500? Thanks for the reply
Hello there! 😃 I'm glad that you enjoyed this video. For your question, are you referring to the seam lines of the trees? I did cover those with epoxy putty to hide the seam lines, then repaint the whole tree to make it seamless. (I did a bad job on covering them though)
@@ArtyShan thank you so much! I have a dark brown oil paint, i was thinking to use that for weathering everything.
