I love how Abe throws his whole body into it when playing. When I first learned to play drums way back in the 80's as a kid I always saw other drummers playing really economically with as little movement of their arms and upper body as possible. But I always played more like Abe (not saying I'm as good as him at all) because it just felt natural to play really hard and to throw myself into it. I guess it was just my way of trying to feel the beat with my whole body. So it's nice to see another drummer playing that way - though it's a real workout too.
Thought it was funny how he made sure to snap it before giving it a toss. I’m guessing one of the roadies got it? Perfect timing to break it too, doesn’t interrupt the song at all.
Thanks for the upload. I can never figure out what he's playing, but I guess it's mainly snare haha. Also I think it's hilarious that no one ever recognizes that it's Change until the guitar comes in. That synth part is too iconic to not recognize.
Y así es como se toca en vivo, tal cual se grabó, valorando el trabajo y la dedicación que tomó hacerlo sin jammear ni cambiándole el carácter a la canción.
I JUST SAW GOD THRU ABE CUNNINGHAM. I been loving him from day one. He beats the shit out of his drums. I think he changed sticks 3 times. MUCH LOVE from Boston ABE
You have to give the man credit. The human voice is the only instrument which is ephemeral in it's character. Chino pushed his voice as far as humanly possible for years. That obviously can't last forever...
@@sprthhfk exactly I still thinks he puts his all into it but man those screams he’s done for years had to have taken there toll. That one scream in particular he did at Big Day Out 2003 while performing 7 Words...one of the most mind blowing things I’ve ever heard.
Are u serious?? There are a number of videos here on UA-cam where Chino's voice is fucked, but I think he sounds great here. One of the most recognizable and original vocal in rock for the past several decades. Gotta give him his props.
His drumming is so musical and dynamic.

I love how they incorporate very intentional tempo changes in choruses and breakdowns, slowing shit down and making it sound heavy.
And that’s how it’s done. Abe’s a true professional.
Such a great drummer! My favorite out there today. Gotta give props to Frank back there as well....he adds so much to each song
Frank?
@@shadesofmalice98 yes Frank Delgado on keyboards and turntables
@@dannytomlinson4533 now I know.
So stylish on stage, he flows like water
Thanks for the footage from Cunningham's perspective. One of my favorites from late 90's-00's. Massively underrated.
Btw, this crowd is lame.

Perhaps they were maybe waiting for that note.

From 4:20 on my jaw was dropped
Geez this crowd sucks. Wtf!?
Abe is awesome. Chino is terrible. Thank God their live show is founded on energy.
Why is terrible Chino??? In this one heat every vocal tone, only in the “chaaa” nge i think he elévate to the high eighth but I think is for fun
