I would literally be furious if the US customs vandalized my subwoofer like that over making an ass out of themselves about drugs because there is ass in assumption but, at least I get relief after I file a claim with US customs. These are bass speakers not drug containers.

I often wonder why motors are glued together instead of using mechanical fasteners to assemble them? the magnetism wouldn't be affected that much would it? is it to involved to drill or mold holes into the ferrite slugs for a fastener?
From what I know it ends up being stronger, slugs can't slide and potentially pinch the coil, in things like this mechanical stresses over time build up and up, potentially a piece of threaded rod could stretch and clack as parts rattle, plus the slugs are brittle so its better to have a load placed on the entire surface than 4, 6 or even 8 holes. Also its fast. You generally don't need to take a motor apart.

I love seeing younger people getting into audio. I got into it at a young age myself. Probably when I was about 9 or 10. I asked for a circular saw for my 12th birthday and got it, then started making my own boxes:) I had some smaller stuff before the saw but when I got it I started with 3 10's, and within a couple years moved up to 3 15's. I had them in the closet of my bedroom and the sweet spot in the room was right where my couch was. It sounded amazing. This was all before the internet too lol.

No, I covered that in detail in the video. They didn't pay a thing. The customer who sent this back to us was out a sub. We hooked them up though and got them a new sub though.

This is pretty pathetic. I'm assuming this is us customs. This is the kind of thing that makes me want to protest. It should be a law that any damage done to a product minor or major should be fully reimbursed by customs. I would be beyond furious. Especially considering the headache it would take to get money back. What if it was a priceless one of a kind object. Something that can't be replaced. Hell even a simple family heirloom.
They get to do bout whatever they want. They can also hold your product as long as they want then make you pay storage fees to get it back.

Sundown audio is a good company. But sometimes they rip people off. In my case when they didn't want to warranty my 2 day old sub. Because when I received it was damaged. And sundown said it was my fault. I had bought 2 zv5 18s and a scv 6000. And had to end up byuing a 3rd sundown zv5 18. Because they didnt want to warranty my sub.

I'm gonna call BS on this. We have a very good warranty on all products. That warranty doesn't cover user error though. Too many people think a warranty is an insurance policy to do whatever you want to a product and just get it replaced for free. Things like burnt voice coils will not be covered under warranty no matter how much someone claims the sub just burnt up all by itself.
The motor was shifted when I received it. How was that my fault. Thats not user error. Thats between sundown and fedex.
