Here is a look back at 6 times were winning the title in WWE games was more of frustration than a celebration.

Bischoff keeps that WCW legacy running strong, vacating the title 18 times in one month.
BACHUR that version of wcw is better than anything that we have today
Robert no not at all
Yeah. It's almost as bad as WWEs tradition of doing that.
The eric bischoff steel cage excuse is something i can imagine gm baron Corbin saying
Yeah it is
Bischoff steel cage rule is probably now true
Baron Corbin is garbage
He needs to be a strong silent type fighter. His dickhead persona doesn’t suit him and he sucks at portraying it.
"Damn you Bray Wyatt, your house deserves to be set on fire--"
Well that's awkward now!
Bishoff: since you three have passed around the titles indiscriminately...
Me: *cough* freebird rule *cough*
Which is a garbage rule to begin with and does nothing but degrade the title.
I don't know if this happened to anyone else, but in 2K15 after I won the U.S. title (or was it the NXT title?), I was told that I would have to defend it every week or relinquish it, and every week, without fail, I had to defend it against Bo Dallas. I got so tired of having match after match after match with him, so I eventually relinquished the title, thinking I would go for a higher title, but ended up being told every week that they don't have anything for me.
What an awful career mode.
That's real life WWE bro
I was the world champion and faced Tyler breeze
Jordan Dennis you don’t defend the title every week irl
Jordan Dennis and you don’t fight go Dallas every week
I had to defend it every week against Cody Rhodes. It was a never fail
I also ended up relinquishing the title
I remember holding the Midcard belts in DOR and DOR2 story modes were totally pointless because you never defended them and fought for the World title afterwards.
Having titles in those games was only for the entrances lol.
I found another time winning a title lead to being vacated today: WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2009 Road to wrestlemania CM Punk storyline when you win the ECW title at Royal Rumble
When you won the US title in 2K19 it was okay...
You John Cena'd it and defended it every week for like, 6(?) weeks, and then Orton runs in and screws you out of it and...you don't get revenge? You just...move into a feud with Cena. That was pretty dumb.
And when you first win the Universal Championship you hold it for like, two weeks before AJ Styles cashes in on you because he's...jealous?
I think for Orton, fighting him to keep the PPV match vs Cena was kinda revenge. Also, AJ was more upset about how Buzz treated him and Finn.
And don't forget aj was still on sd never explain why hes was on raw.
You had a us title feud in 2k19?
@@ThePB77 its the first feud you have
@@TheChosenMoose01 you could choose a different path, if you brawled with Randy Orton backstage you didn't have that, I believe. I brawled with Randy and that never happened so, I'm not sure. Maybe I just forgot.
I hated how in 2006 SvR or even 07 as I think it happened there too. Any time you won the tag titles, you'd get 'traded' like wtf. Can't I be tag champion for a bit?
WWF: No Mercy. When you go after the hardcore title, you’ll always get put in handicap matches. After awhile I just stopped trying to defend that title and played a new chapter for a different title.
I remember having a custom in SvR 2007 and my guy was at least 350 pounds and I was put in a match for the cruiserweight title. Thanks for teddy long for being smart.
In WWE 2K19 you look like Jimmy Wang Yang.
He does look like Jimmy Wang Yang! XD
6:09-6:10 look how crazy Kurt angles face looks he looks like me when I realise someone took my galaxy
The Rock would be caught dead with the Light heavyweight tittle 😂
thedominatior39 R I have that game
This man thinks out the box with his videos and it is amazing
Thanks, I appreciate that. :) Got to keep it fresh along with never been done before kind of videos!
The European Hardcore Title will live forever in the hearts of everyone who loved it.
Also, it could be argued that being the Undisputed Champion at the end of the Smackdown vs Raw is underwhelming. I mean you get to attack Bischoff or Angle depending on your brand as well as Mr McMahon, but you never actually defend the title you just won
I miss that title it was a great design.
I do remember a few times where winning the title was pointless
1. SVR 08 on the DS - From what I remember, the first feud is a world title feud and immediately after you win the title, you get stripped of it and get shipped off to a different brand.
2. SVR 2011 Cena RTWM - Winning the unified tag titles with MVP and Santino respectively is a waste of time because you can never defend them.
3. WWE 2K19 MyCareer - I'm adding the Universal and US title wins to this, as well as the IC/custom title wins. Firstly you only defend the title for about a month before Orton costs you, and you don't even get a rematch for it. Then with the Universal title, I understand AJ cashing in, but losing the title 2 weeks after winning it especially after all the shit you had to go through to even get that shot is a slap in the face.
4. SmackDown vs Raw season - Winning and unifying the world/midcard titles on the original SVR is super underwhelming. All that happen is you attack Vince and your opposing GM after the match. No title defences or anything.
Ya but it's only because the champion becomes the 2004 Becky Lynch or Rick flair
Can we talk about how bad kurt angle voice acting is
How about in SVR 2009 in "Career Mode" where once toy get a title, you never defend it & just move on to the next belt.
I think I know his favourite championship now.
Have some silence for the European hardcore championship
I agree #BringBackTheEuropeanTitle
Kezza well wouldn't that technically be the UK championship?
@@sliderx1897 not really. The UK Title doesn't share any lineage with the European Championship, representative of a specific region of the continent and a different championship belt as well
@@sliderx1897 Since when the UK are Europe ???
Avé Lukas ...it was the whole time before a few months ago
@@fkncuco No, UK was never Europe, it was part of Europe and ut still is, but ut was never Europe
The Rock as the Light Heavyweight Champion!?
What Multiverse Wrestling is this!?
Well in case of the Universal Championship , it is the championship that has been rendered worthless. Hoping you guys have a great day and your wishes fulfilled. Happy holidays.
That's because brock Lesnar had the title. Now the wwe title is a dead title and irreverent..
Taking the title off Kofi the way they did made his reign pointless and made Kofi look like a bitch
Having any title in Smackdown 2.
Sure it’s awesome being the WWF Champion, but if you had it, you almost never had title defenses in season mode. What’s the point of having a championship if you don’t defend it?
Idk ask Brock
This is such a amazing channel keep up the videos mate
What i did love about hctp was during season mode you can add other caw
They should bring back the hardcore champion
Winning both titles at wm in SVR as the story mode ends right after
Amazing Video As Always!
Vacant was a beast in all these games
I quite like Bischoff vacating all the titles. It's a nice callback to that episode of Nitro in 2000
Me: Wins hardcore championship
Mr McMahon: did you forget about your other opponent
I love how his voice sounds when hes explaining this stuff
8:57 we gonna ignore that Buzz is walking around with a lighter chillin in his back pocket?
5:47 Lost it from here lol 🤣🤣🤣
Especially those punches and blood 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Dang 😷😷 the HCTP one sounds the roughest 😂😂
It was.
Actually I really liked having the hardcore title in Here Comes the Pain, but that's probably due to how much I love the 24/7 rule which is...too much
6:10 Kurt's eyes 😂😂
What the hell?
Couldn't stop laughing 😂
Walkerman404 That’s the most hilarious thing I’ve seen in a long time 😂😂😂
Epic Ocelot Man remember the scene but it was never Angle, and they never had psycho eyes like that 😂😂
Walkerman404 His eyes kind of remind me of that one guy in the crowd when Brock Lesnar ended Taker’s streak 😂
I wish I could see that World Championship storyline in HCTP in full on UA-cam. Too bad everyone only does one year of season mode
Love your vids
fun fact:
Jeff Hardy is the only wrestler in the world who has held all of the following titles:
wwe title
world title
world tag team title (the original wwe tag titles that were held by the likes of demolition and the heart foundation)
Raw Tag titles (The original brand split smackdown titles)
Smackdown Tag titles
Intercontinental title
Us Title
Hardcore title
European title
Chris Jericho is only missing The smack down titles to tie Jeff, and if tied, both wrestlers would only need the universal title and they would be the only wrestlers to hold every grandslam title in the wwe! Also, assuming the titles stay the way they are now, no other living wrestler will ever be able to say that.
If you managed to read that whole post, that in short, is the reason why I don't want the European or Hardcore title brought back.
I’m glad I saw this on Christmas Eve
Merry Christmas
WWE: SVR: 2010. In the custom superstar RTWM storyline winning the Intercontinental Championship. Mostly because after winning it from Santino at the start the title gets vacated since your not a "official WWE superstar" then Vince puts you what seems like through Hell and back just to earn a WWE contract and get back your title including have to win a Royal Rumble style Battle Royal.
"INTERFERENCE!!!!!" 😂
In the Bischoff Unforgiven cutscene, JR actually mentioned a "Virgil Runnels decision" aka...Dusty Finish.
2K19 wasn't that bad as you get the universal title, but you have to constantly defend it
The "Virgil Runnells Rule" of the title not being allowed to change hands in September was an insider reference to a Dusty Finish.
wwe 2k20: As Red, you win the Divas Championship over Brooklyn Von Braun, but you must vacate the title because you are retiring way too early because of BVB saying that it was you who wrote the letter, not your friends' parents, who are dead in the game. Your friend, who is Tre, says that he also is retiring.
One of my favorite youtubers
6:10 that face
#BringBackTheEuropeanTitle
HAPPY NEW YEAR
Nice video bro
Killer video
What happens if a nxt superstar wins the royal rumble
They get to chose whether they want to fight for the NXT title or the other NXT title at the WrestleMania *PRESHOW*
in wwe 2k11 Chris jericho RTWM chris became double champion wwe & United States
2k 11 or svr11
Another one is pretty much every championship win in SvR 2010 specifically the DS version
I did like the whole 24/7 thing where anyone could face you for any title anywhere as punishmeny for swapping numbers at the Rumble (correct me if I'm wrong there), but it was a pain in the ass that that's the only time any title you won got defended.
There's also that moment in wwe 2k20 career mode where Tre have to defend the title with Brock Lesnar and twice against Braun Strowman and everytime when they were gonna win Samoa Joe would get involved allowing us to retain the championship
not gonna lie, the Bray Wyatt 2k19 storyline was the best storyline in the game.
What I hate is in the myplayer, your character holds both the IC and whatever custom championship you make yet when you're in universe mode you can only hold one in your entrance while the other is none existant
Ma boii tgg getting them sponsors
Yeah I remember Smackdown vs Raw Series. Your character would always end up having to vacate the title or being put into unfair or weird storylines
WOW YOUR VIDEO IS ALWAYS AWESOME
Hi
Angle's face at 6:10
XD
#bring theEuropeanchampionship back
How about in the Smackdown games where you would be attacked in a cut scene, and your title would just be stolen? I would always be pissed like, "So there are no rules now?" Straight bullshit, you would have to fight your way back through a vmcouple matches to challenge for YOUR title.
I completely forgot that you used to be able to jump off the barricade
6:09 the face I make when I got..... VACATED
Bischoff vacating the titles like its WCW in 2000
Pls give the list of games u mentioned in the video
Idk if anyone had played the side matches after the story mode in 2k19 but holy crap are those annoying it’s either a back stage brawl or Shane/Kurt puts you in either a steel cage, tables, hell in a cell, last man standing, iron man, or submission match every week whether you have any title or not I’ve only had one normal match after the story and it was a us title match vs Kofi Kingston
I need someone’s help!
I’m from the smackdown vs raw 2007-13? Whatever one was the last one with an actual story mode where it’s NOT universe mode.
Does wwe 2k20 have the same story mode / career mode like SMACKDOWN VS RAW 2007??
That European Hardcore Championship is cool.
Wrestlemania 21 for Xbox where ya get beat down by evolution at summerslam and eventually forfeiting the U.S. title due to injury , where you have to face a handful of legends including Andre the Giant to train to face Batista.
I know it’s not a title defence but the only time I felt a WWE game wasn’t worth it was durn 2K15 in the NXT proving ground where John Cena became like a god and was able to reverse everything you did and get signatures/finishers way to easy if playing on hard or legend
When u win the universal title at wrestlemania the game basically ends because the main story is done and only side matches are left
As soon as I won a title in the RAW games whether I saved it or not I'd have to win them again
It would be awesome if they makes from next wwe game with season mode like smackdown hctp and svr 2007 storyline like that and both titles
I completed the MyCareer so it wasn't was spoiler for me :D
In wwe 2k18 you win a singles title in career mode, after that it is almost like you never won it, you defend it maybe once? But soon after you just vacate it with no storyline, no announcement, nothing. Legit the most uneventful title I've ever won in a game
Sounds like I should play WWE 2k19’s storymode soon 💯💯
I like your videos they are amazing
Thank you :)
You too 👍
Keep up the good work
To be honest for the Here Comes The Pain one, i would rather take the risk and defend the title as long as possible, maybe even until the end, and if possible i will win other titles too, until i got them all.
Smackdown vs Raw 2008 would do the same thing everytime you became champion they would throw you with the great kali and take you wwe or world heavyweight champion away
This guy is too damn funny
#BRINGBACKJAMIENOBLE
What about wwe12 rtwm triple h one
2k16 where you had to relinquish a title to win another
When Eric Bischoff has vacated WH or IC title at Unforgiven (SVR 2006), Is it just me or his tone of speech sounds like he knows that he is bullshiting?!
My apologies for language.
Because at Survivor Series, Bischoff sounded like he knew his talking, and legitimately vacated World Tag Team belts.
Can we all just take a moment to notice that Bray Wyatt got away with mind-controlling Cole (potentially kidnapping him aswell), Vandalizing buzz's "home", and FUCKING GASSING ANOTHER WRESTLER. What, The police don't exist in WWE2k universe, do they?
in 2k19 after i won the universal championship i had to defend it every week against curt hawkins in a tables match
I actually liked the Intercontinental title more
Remember when people don't get screwed over by Eric Bischoff in old WWE games, yeah me neither
In reality you wouldn’t be stripped for any injuries and you would be forced to continue, just look at any previous champions. E.g. CM Punk?
I thought the start was an ad😂
3:28
Freebird rule? lol
When are you gonna go live again?
