This track is from a Lord of the Rings inspired epic 14 track album.
About this song:
EÄ is the elvish word for Universe. The initial big drums and percussion played across changing odd time signatures are meant to be the chaos of the formation of the Universe. The long ascending transition with the whistles and Sally Minnear singing “Earth sea and sky” represents the creation of the earth with the rising of mountains from the sea.
The phrase, “cathedral of earth, sea and sky” comes from ancient celtic christianity who often referred to Earth in this way. I felt it appropriate to use this phrase, because it seemed consistent with Tolkien's love of nature, as well as his christian worldview.
lyrics
Home, EÄ is our home. Earth Sea and Sky, Cathedral of Life.

Rush... comes to mind... your music is very beautiful and has lots of interesting extras
Sorry, I am lost for words at the moment. Just love that song.
Wow thanks John . Glad to hear that .
Bloody fabulous
Pure Belter. Add another fan to your music Dave Bron.
Massive RINGER here, my friend.
I.
Absolutely.
LOVE.
THIS.
How'zabout:
"Lord of The Riffs", my guy?🤔
"One riff to bring them ALL...& in the music, SHRED THEM!"
THIS.
IS.
INSTRUMENTAL.
GOLD.
Thanks so much. Your comment made me smile. If you enjoy this music don't forget to check out my website to buy the album. Thanks
Love that I get to watch you guys at work as I listen. Prog rock, soundtrack glutton and LoTR fan here.
Yeay! Enjoy!
I haven't heard Tolkien-inspired music like this before - I dig it. I especially respect you integrating his Christian worldview into the lyrics.
Thanks Gabriel 😊
Wow - amazing music! Loved the contrasts of quiet and loud in the track, and good to see the musicians and choir performing. This has given me the motivation to pick up my guitar again after not playing for a few years, especially as I have a bit of time on my hands at the moment, recovering from surgery. Clearly, a lot of time, hard work and dedication has gone into making this music!
Thanks Rachel. I wish you a quick recovery.
As a prog rock lover... This is fabulous... add that to LOTR... I am hooked rod line and sinker
Thanks 😊
Wonderful!! I SO appreciate that you used real voices instead of synth-choir sounds. Great work!!
bertman316 I’m glad you appreciate the extra effort . It’s pretty hard to beat a real choir 😊
Organic and electric instrumentation together in an epic blend of orchestration. Well done Dave!!!
Thanks Bruce
BEAUTIFUL!!!
Loved it from the start!
Thanks Vicki
Magnificent!
Thanks for sending me this link, love it, sounds very Mike Oldfield like, who I also love!
Thanks for commenting Mark
I've watched this video so many times, first time I became aware of you Dave was a licklibrary tutorial which I bought... since then it's been a love affair with your music which is just so inspiring to a musician but also serious relaxation for me in amazing ways, thank you ♥
Thanks so much for this lovely comment 😊
So varied instrumentally, unique sound, love it! Middle Earth here I come!

Wow Steve. As a musician that is the highest compliment for me. I'm glad my music moved you.

This is honestly beautiful. Almost hauntingly so. Ethereal and wonderfully crafted, friend.
Thanks so much Adam
A video every day? This CD is the gift that keeps on giving! Sounds great on headphones at work and in the car, too. And a Brons drummer? I re-watched your first video today with your tiny boys on the couch in that old hangar. Great stuff. Keep it coming, Dave. Incredible, Incredible, Incredible.
gwhiz1957 thanks so much ! The next video will drop next weekend . Then it’s one a week after that .
This is beautiful! I am“old” so I hear Pink Floyd influence, which is what I have “lost” myself in for many years. Thank you!
You had me at "Lord of the Rings Map" intro.
Also, super interesting melody phrasing and choices. I very much enjoyed that.
Anthony Meyer the map was drawn by Dan Bell at middle earth maps . It was animated by Tom Quayle (he of ibanez signature guitar fame!)
@@DaveBrons A terrible guitar player! Not...
Man I needed this to help me relax, I've just gone through something traumatic also so this help right now
Sounds fantastic! Great mix. All the elements are clear and well defined. Great composition too!
Thanks Dan

Thanks Simon! Wait till you hear the rest of the album!!!

Wow, that's cool. Not a big fan of Lord of the Rings, but I'm a rock fan, and I love instrumental music.
This calls out to my soul with a familiarity I can’t describe and it feels good. Awesome work
Thanks 😊
another gift of melody to us all Dave!
Thanks Sean! I sing all the melodies that I write, so hopefully that helps make em memorable
@@DaveBrons and I am more impressed (jealous) now mate

1st track listened to. Excellent
Thanks Martin 😊
What a beautiful track this is and perfect to work along to in my studio, as I work on my Worlds End graphic novels. I am so glad I found your music, Dave.
Thanks Tim
Awesome!
Terrence Duggan cheers ! 😊
3:49 sounds like Brian May popped in!
Your music has so many layers I love how the video shows all the parts of the whole.
gwhiz1957 yes Brian May is a huge influence ! I’m glad you like the videos . There are some albums like Steve Vai’s Passion and Warfare where I wish somebody had videoed the whole thing being made . So that’s why I videoed everybody’s performance
Thats was absolutly beautiful, everybody played their part beautifully and the Guitar playing was exceptional, wish I could play like that! Think I may have to order the CD when I get paid, great stuff.
Thanks Mark
Utterly brilliant Dave 👍
Lorneplumber wow thanks Lorne
You my friend have earned another Tolkien loving fan!
Wonderful. Nice to meet you Jon
Me too. Ill buy the c.d. xxx.
Inspiring!
Rick In Seattle thanks Rick
Epic sound Dave! Loving the pipe style on the guitar
Rodaidh Mackay thanks so much for you r encouragement . That’s ace
Hi Dave and other musicians involved. WOW this really blew me away. This came as a popup add on fakebook (sorry but I tell it like it is). Thank you so much Dave for offering this! I'm VERY tempted to buy a few copies of the cd (don't be surprised if I do). On a scale of 1 to 10 I rank it Infinity!!!
Woah ! Thanks for your encouragement... you made my day 💕
@@DaveBrons You're quite welcome!!
Epic stuff mate!....which I guess is exactly what you want for a project like this.
Lovin' your Vaiesque vibrato too!
Terry Hicks yes the Vai-brato is something I worked on for hours and hours in my teens !
@@DaveBrons haha...Vai_brato.... brilliant.
I love how you imitate pipes with a two finger hammer on. I'ma use that technique.😬
Contact Miyazaki ask him if he would use this music on his upcoming game Elden Ring. You get your music there you've got the big time bro. Really cool stuff. Especially like the Mike Oldfield style part 2/3 of the way through
I will try . Thanks 😊
I love the piano part! Any chance you'd have sheet music for the piano part for sale?
I don't, but I may be able to transcribe it for you
Im only 2:24 and I'm fucking blown away who is the woman singing?
It's Sally Minnear , daughter of Prog Legend Kerry Minnear of Gentle Giant
Where can I get a guitar strap like that? Lol
Heh. . . Shades of Mike Oldfield 😃
Not my jam... guitar felt a little too 80s for me... and I love 80s, but it felt out of place here. Don't get me wrong, awesome stuff, lots of talent shown, I just had a hard time feeling it related to Middle Earth/Tolkien at all.
wow
Andrew Leakey you said that backwards 🤪
