I’m speechless to the reaction to this song. I can’t thank you all enough for taking the time to listen. Very excited about releasing more off this record soon. I’m blown away by everyone’s kindness ❤
And we will not be able to ever thank YOU enough for bringing such joy and wonder to instrumental music. Please, never stop writing music and sharing it with the world!
you can thank the guys at Polyphia for sending me here Jokes aside, you really deserve this and much more; the video is immaculate and beautiful, your music I can't even say so because it wouldn't be enough. You are very inspiring, thank you so much for this!!!!
Rock on Nick! Can't wait to hear more, you are in my top 10 guitarists of all time and on my spotify 2022, 2023 wrapped as one of my top artists, i can't get enough of your Remarkably human album masterpiece!! 🤘🤘
My daughter just passed away from cancer. She left eight children and a husband who loved her dearly. They are all bumping into walls. She was my child of bliss.
Hi Nick, back in 2016 I was extremely depressed (still working on it) and I remember waking up in the basement at my parent's, it was around 1 in the afternoon and I grabbed my phone looking for something to listen to. Since the room was underground, there was only a very small window and only very little sunlight shining through. I could hear my dad cutting the grass outside and my mom on the phone upstairs. The kind of stuff that makes you feel guilty for being depressed and staying in bed so late... the sunshine, the ones around you being proactive, the thought of another day wasted feeling horrible... Back then I was just starting to get into guitar and somehow I stumbled upon your album ''Remarkably Human'' on Spotify. I liked the art so I clicked on it and played the first track. The first track blends perfectly into the second one and so on, I couldn't really tell how long I had been there and how deep into the album I was. I felt a kind of relief, a kind of light heartedness... it could've been hope? it felt good. I was so emotional laying in that bed, in the dark. I hadn't felt anything like that in years. I was 23 at the time. I stayed in bed for another 2 hours listening to the album. That album marked me, it brings me back to that feeling every time I listen to it. Now at 30 years old, I still struggle, but differently, and this song, on this rainy day made me feel like how remarkably human made me feel back in 2016, exactly when I needed it. I don't know what it is but I just want to thank you for your music and how it makes me feel, it is unexplainable. It feels so good to feel that way again, especially today. Thanks Nick. Sincerely, -A fan that'll last a lifetime. PS: That guitar that looks like its made of ice with the dark neck... absolutely incredible.
I appreciate the message my friend. I’m so happy I was able to help in a small way with my music. I deal with some of the same feelings everyday. I’m grateful for your support after all these years ❤️
Johnston is in my opinion, one of the very few modern guitarists whose melodic orchestrations always come before the chops. This young man's music takes me places and I thank him for it.
maybe is because nick is not an "guitarist" but he's an artist in first place and this change the way to see an listen his art.... nick and yvette young are both inspirations for me, nick because is powerful and much more artist than an "guitar" actor and a such brilliant composer, yvette because she's unreal and have a nice and beauty way to express herself with a guitar (and obvious multi-instrumentalist).... we have so many talented guitarists but, so few artists and maybe this explain why this young man's music takes you!
What hole have I been living in that I just found this guy…dear Lord you are insane what a player…like the heroes of old - guys like this don’t exist anymore
Hi Nick, sincerely this was the first time I've stumbled upon your music; it was a revelation for me; this song I have found it is "remarkably" a poem; I have finally found the guitarist I wanna become; I would be honored and humble to have the opportunity of you to be my teacher; I love how you play with the rake, harmonics, liquid legato and harmony; pure inspiration to me. Thanks
I doubt you guys would ever cross paths, but it would be so sick to hear you and Ronald Jenkees write some music together. That would be a dream come true for me.
Saw your solo on slow dancing with Mike Dawes and I was like, who is this wizard? One of the few reasons I like youtube is learning about musicians like you, Jack Thammarat, Alex Hutchins, Mike Dawes, etc..... So much amazing playing to be found that needs the respect it deserves.
Same exact experience here. Had the chance to see you play back in.. 2017/2018 I believe, in the city of Nantes, France, along with Polyphia and Intervals, I really came because of you, and it was pure delight! Thanks so much for being such an inspiration, Nick.
Since Remarkably Human we have been thrust into an ongoing saga that actually plays out unnoticed in your everyday life. Each album is another chapter in this epic SUITE based in theme and variation. Well done, Nick. You've created an entire aesthetic with these collective sounds. Thanks man!
Some strong remarkably human vibes going on here, I love it! Nick is one of the hardest working, most talented and one of the all round nicest guys you'll ever meet. You have my eternal gratitude and support for the masterpieces that you share with us all. Cant wait to buy the new album and to catch you on tour!! Nick has kindly signed each and every album for me after shows, and I always buy all of your merch too!
Instrumental music just as I like it - melodic, unpredictable with surprising elements, well executed , at the end you do not even realise it was instrumental with no vocals ;) - AWESOME!
Hi Nick ; I’ll be honest , I had never heard your music before today - this track - and I’m blown away ; just loving this ; Epic Piano intro Spanish guitar drawing us in ; then breaking out with the Schecter , and how it just keeps building … its a really a beautiful composition . You are on my radar from this day on ; and now one of my main guitar influences !!!
Wow, chills! Guitar music doesn't need to be technical impossible. (although he pulls out some tasty runs there) Good example for "feel" matters. Massive respect!
Schecter Nick Johnston strat is the best strat ever made. I haven’t tried the PT yet. Love your music Nick been a fan since the first album. this new song is insane no cap your tone your phrasing Jesus it’s really awesome. The way you write guitar music just hits different.
Yesss the New Album is finally on its way! Looking forward to meeting up at another clinic (if theres any haha) in Singapore hahahaha Congrats Nick! Always a banger! 🤘🎸
When Nick fully embraces his Jedi nature, the incredible level of awesomeness he radiates is truly remarkable, steering clear of succumbing to the dark side.
FUCK the solo at the end has been in my damn head for hours now. absolutely mind boggling. nick you're a magician, that's the only word that describes it
This is peak level composing, phrasing. Nick is a musical character that I appreciated from the first minutes of discovering him. I absolutely loved this masterpiece. Thanks for making music my dear inspiration 🙌✌️
Commented everywhere else so ill comment here as well(algorithm xD). You deserve a massive following and the people deserve to hear your music man.. I cant wait to have my own experiences and memories that i will associate with this new record like i do with the past ones
The master of melody. The best part about your music has always been the fact these would be songs that can easily be done with vocals.. Your ridiculous guitar playing had always just been the icing on the cake which is your compositions. Can't wait!!
A true masterpiece of a song. One of my favorite guitar songs nowadays. Like ever. Im a huge Satriani fan etc, but Nick makes so much more beautiful songs. All of his songs have a soul.
Nick, I love how you are relying more on orchestral arrangements to fill the melodies and yet the guitar never loses its spotlight. I have also always loved the piano parts. Fabulous job, as usual. Can't wait for your new record!
You got my musical heart with "A cure promised" and never ever let it go! Thanks Nick, you are such a talented and hard working human being! Spread you inner and outer beauty to the world!
This is just as good as every other song Nick puts out there. Amazing music with such technical restraint. The best parts of the solo are where there isn't a note. That is except for that first bit with the dissonance that resolves - so tasteful.
How is it possible that I am just now learning about this incredible musician! I am a new banjo and bass guitar player. This gentleman is an amazing talent!
Thank you guys for listening over the years. You're all truly wonderful
You are the best!! So thank you. Keep these coming, we love your music.
Thank you sir.
Hells yeah.. thank YOU for everything you do. I've always love piano accompany guitar..

Refreshing in a sensual way......after listening to ST way too much and a lot of digging out this came out of nowhere for me. Thx for that!
My daughter just passed away from cancer. She left eight children and a husband who loved her dearly. They are all bumping into walls. She was my child of bliss.
With eight kids she left one hell of a legacy. I'll be praying for you.
God bless her soul and all her family My friend.

It's time for a G3 with Nick.. He is part of a new wave of modern guitar players!

Back with a vengence bro. Love it
Nick has transcended the typical role of a full shredding guitar player and evolved into a super deep composer and musician with finesse and soul.
