Do you ever just cry because you remember Groundhog Day exists?? God, this song is probably an all time favorite out of all the songs I've ever listened to, amazing work. Groundhog Day overall is a new experience, not like the other musicals I've listened to, and that's not a bad thing. Loveable characters, Phil Connors being a bit too relatable at times, overall A M A Z I NG cast, and just AGH, it's so good
YES! It closed way too early. Andy Karl was a revelation in it!
I saw Groundhog Day earlier this year in London, I went in blind on my only free day on a friend's recommendation. It was such an emotional rollercoaster, when this song began I started crying and I was (quietly) sobbing by the time it reached the "I've spent a lifetime seeking signs" part. This song provides such a perfect cathartic moment for Phil and for the audience, I'm glad I can listen to it again and remember those emotions I felt in the theatre. Thank you for sharing this recording with us.
I discovered the Groundhog Day musical about 4 days ago......in that 4 days I have watched this performance of this great song at least 23 times. Then booked tickets to see the show....based solely on this performance

Somebody worked out that Phil in total spent about 34 years in the same day, this song is perfect at showing that self-reflection and how he's become a much wiser man, with a hint of sadness

I'm glad I first heard this on Radio 2 Elaine Page Sunday show got me foot tapping on my drive
heartbreakingly beautiful with pace and depth. I'm old and don't know how to put a heart symbol on this. But it seems to stroke the heart strings and flood me with peace. Thankyou.
Absolutely loved this in the West End. Smash it on Broadway Andy.

became a Groundhog day groupie after going to press Night at The Old Vic - must have gone another 4-5 times before it transferred to Broadway. Love this show so much. This song is so emotional.
Most ridiculously phenomenal musical...and I loved Matilda. This song still makes me weep more than "When I Grow Up!"
I fell in love with this show. I'm sad it's not going on the road for the rest of the country to see. Andy Karl was fantastic in this role. The TONY field was so tough last year. You'll get yours Andy.
Just saw this on Broadway last weekend and Andy was simply amazing! Bought the cast album and love it! Thanks again Andy for taking a pic with me! Hope I can see this show again!

Been the biggest Orfeh fan (tad obsessed like Seth ;) for a long time and now such an Andy Karl fan! Seeing him perform last month was so special! Still can't believe how he's performing with his injury.

Man, I love this show. I've seen it 3 times already and I think it's simply the best musical of the 2016-2017 season. A truly beautiful adaptation that deserves a long long run.
I saw Groundhog Day in the previews and Andy Karl was simply amazing. Everyone should watch it! (Can't wait for the cast recording!)

I saw Groundhog Day last August and have been talking about it since!! I can't wait for the official soundtrack!
GHD finally made it to North Illinois for a run of about 2 months at the Paramount Aurora (1800 seat theater from 1930). It's a great show 4 years later.
