I'm amazed at how professional these videos are made. The lighting, different cameras, and music not to mention Sammy's incredible story telling make these master classes in production.
Sammy could tell a 30 minute story on using the bathroom and I would be riveted and on the edge of my seat. Kudos for the sound crew for just building all that up by the way. My favorite podcast by far.

Neil saying “That’s a fucking man!” Is one of the best moments in mafia history. Neil was obviously a legend in his own right I could almost feel the room shake when he bellowed that response. It was more than a response, it was a validation from a rock solid pillar of the American mafia. I bet even Paul’s asshole puckered. What a moment!

If Big Paul would have followed the rules and killed Sammy, then there’s a chance he doesn’t get killed. Follow the rules and Sammy would have been whacked, Gotti and his crew would have been whacked. Big Paul would have died of old age in prison from the commission trial. Frankie DeCicco isn’t blown to pieces and instead reigns as Gambino boss through the 90’s. This world and this life is unpredictable.
Castellano had the chance to kill Gotti for doing an unsanctioned hit, and to kill Sammy for DiBono. Had he done both, they never would have been there to take him out. Somewhat ironically, the man who saved both of them (Neil Dellacroce, who was Castellano's underboss) wouldn't go along with the plot to kill Castellano, but he didn't warn him either. These kinds of twists are part of what makes mob history fascinating. Combine that with great storytelling ability and you have an incredible podcast.
Big Paul would have died of natural causes and made Tommy Gambino or Bilotti boss. I’m willing to bet a different faction would have killed one of those two

I disagree. Paul should've killed DiBono, and then he should've killed Gotti as soon as he found out about the tapes. When he begged for the tapes he gave Gotti time to plot. Dumbest move ever. If somebody like Scarfo or Giancanna was the boss, Gotti would've been dead.
This whole Louie DiBono story is one of the best stories Mr. Gravano has told.

I've always been intrigued by the Mafia, and Sammy's insight and experience in that life make his stories that he shares riveting and you can literally create a picture in your mind if exactly what's happening step by step. I love it, its by far the best thing on UA-cam mafia related or not. I'll listen to these for years to come and I feel they will never get old. The next story ever told done by the Bull himself. Sammy the stories are good enough the way they happened. You don't need to exaggerate so goddamn much. It's easy to tell when you are. The 2nd half of the video flows so much easier just telling it like it happened instead of all the Xtra of the sit-down story in the beginning. Also Louie Dibono had it coming.
