So glad you guys are jumping right into season 2. Love Loki’s character development within a short time period. It’s so wild to think that this the same Loki from the first Avengers movie. And also at 12:53, you can see a bit of red glow on his side, that moment where he can’t tell what’s gonna happen next, that scene sync perfectly with the moment Wanda becomes the scarlet witch.
See you soon.... all was planed along. His dead is the point when the multiverse starts, thats why on spiderman all gets fucked, the Kang in ant man is another version, a "new" one, a conqueror
Jonathan Majors had been announced to be playing Kang for some time already, so it was either immediately known or shortly after learned that He Who Remains was Kang.
Jonathan Majors had already been introduced as a “Thanos level villain” when this episode dropped. Major Marvel fans already knew that He Who Remains was a Kang variant. Tom Hiddleston has a brilliant character arc throughout this series…can’t wait for you all to watch Season 2…it’s phenomenal!
I can't wait for you guys to see the glorious season 2. It's so weird, Marvel has been bombing lately and this show is just chef's kiss, heads and shoulders above anything Marvel or even compared to most TV shows out there.
The panic in Loki’s voice in the last scene is just Wow!! Tom Hiddleston’s acting is just phenomenal. Ngl, my heart broke a little bit when mobius said " Who are you? ". The final fight scene between Loki and sylvie was great, you can really understand both sides. Can’t wait for season 2 reactions.
For context….anyone who read the comics (and other hardcore fans) would’ve known Kang from the coloring of his outfit. There’s a compilation of reactors watching this episode that demonstrates the range of awareness of the character…and just how serious his reveal/presence was in the story. Kang showing up is a big deal.
The biggest problem is they had Kang as the baddie of a bad movie in quantummania and get beat by fucking ant man and he's supposed to be a threat to the avengers? lol They fucked up royally there and took the shine off of him. They either should have never had him in the movie or have him win. Good thing is they are recasting kang so he'll be around, I'd love to see him get crushed by Dr doom and have doom be the real big baddie for the new avenger movies.
Who would have thought that the most intense episode of this season wouldn’t be one that had a lot of action but simply a conversation with extreme implications. It just makes you go “whoa” every time.
Loki’s escape creates a branch of the original timeline he escaped. So that Loki still exists and did all the avengers stuff. They cleaned up the effects of Loki escaping bc it wasn’t supposed to happen. The Loki we see now is a variant.
The part where Kang pauses and says "We just crossed the threshold and I have no idea what will happen next" then drops the apple is the same timestamp as when Wanda became the Scarlet Witch and drops Agatha on the ground.
Marvel studios did a presentation on the projects coming out in Phase 4, it’s on UA-cam.. in that, they announce majors will play Kang the conqueror in quantumania
Knew who Johnathan Major character was because of the comics and also because I knew that Kang was the next upcoming big bad. But also when he says he's known as a "Conqueror" that's the big reveal. As Kang's full "name" is Kang the Conqueror.
I was following Marvel pretty closely so i knew Majors was cast as kang but people only speculated about who was the one at the end of time, Kang was one of the main ones speculated though.
Moon Knight was my favorite series (can't wait for you to get to it, I'm hoping you do) until season 2 of Loki, those episodes are some of the best tv in general, I loved it a lot
The top dog who Marvel has reduced to a weak ruler defeated by ants.. Kang controls time and allowed Thanos to snap his fingers. He has more influence than the Celestials. Great reveal in the Loki series. Probably the best Marvel series so far.
Yeah, guys, I saw Loki season 1 before Quantumania as I saw them as released. So it was not a surprise who I saw in Quantumania or Loki season 2. Hint, hint. Can't wait til you guys do season 2. Good jobs, guys. 👍
The events here unlocked Marvel’s multiverse. So, Marvel spent a season to explain why there is now a multiverse, and then explores it over several stories.
I am a bit more then a casual fan, but Ant-man's Quantumania did come after Loki so no one knew much during the reveal. You could tell though that he was going to be someone important. The wait of the Oh f**k at the end of this season was heavy lol. I love all of MCU so its fun riding the wave with you guys!
Jonathan Majors acting in this episode is incredible. Once they pass the threshold of him knowing everything to knowing nothing, you can tell his fear in how his voice changes.
This was a big deal in the over all mcu time line. Its basically like introducing Thanos. And by the time this ep aired ppl knew who was going to play Kang.
Guys PLEASE PLEASE PLEASEEEE react to The Impossible 2012 if not all of you have already seen it PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE it's one of the best movies i've ever watched in my life
I was like what ? why did you recognise him ? He is a new guy... Then you said you already watched quantamania. Well, atleast you guys might have enjoyed quantamania, because Kang there is a disappointment when you watch Loki first
8:08 You misinterpreted Renslayer's search of free will, which I did too. Haha. For Renslayer, the only person who gets to have free will is the one in charge. So when she searches for free will, you can interpret it as: she's looking for the one in charge or she wants to be the one in charge, or both. Simply...power.
27:18 Technically, the show’s Loki no longer needs to return to the events of the first Avengers. TVA made it so original Loki still remains in all MCU movies and continues to live until Thanos kills him. The show’s Loki (who went rogue) no longer needs to go back and can pretty much do whatever he wants now
I would like to praise the musical score of this series. It is out of this world! I feel that it envelops the show so nicely. I hope you enjoyed it as well!
I didn't recognize him, but when he said "I've been known by many names. A ruler. A Conqueror!" I realized who he is..... and I realized how much of a threat this casual guy is. Then we got Quantumania and saw just how powerful he is.
I knew Jonathan Majors was signed to play Kang the Conqueror in the third Ant-Man film and that Kang was planned to be the 'Thanos-level villain' in Phase 4, 5 and 6. I did not know who He Who Remains would be until the elevator door opened, but as soon as I saw who was playing him I knew his connection to Kang.
Same for me. Well actually it was kinda spoiled at some point during that day before I could watch the episode myself and therefore I could enjoy the reveal... because I wouldn't have known what Jonathan Majors would look like at the time.
That's a bit too many phases, Thanos wasn't even that big a character in 90% of the MCU until his specific movies. Kang is cool but at this point in the MCU we really need Doom.
@@billbill6094 With Jonathan Major's legal problems, I have heard Marvel may have to change their plans. One thing I read is simply recasting the character of Kang. (It's been done before!) Another possibility is re-gearing Phases 5 and 6 to be overseen by another 'Big Bad' with Victor Von Doom and Galactus being the two leading contenders. Personally I would be happy with the re-casting direction as Marvel would not have to re-write and retcon so much of what has already been hinted in Phases 4 and first half of 5.
@@peterkoester7358 I can see Galactus eventually but yeah with how they've structured the MCU these past few years it would be a very bad move after a lot of bad shows and movies. Not a huge fan of recasting but hey, it worked with Don Cheadle, Don Howard could never have made a good War Machine. I like Doom as an option because you can have him be the big twist villain who mops up Kang in the end while every single hero failed, or have masterminded the big conflict with Kang to make it a decisive victory in spite of his infinite variants. It would be _very_ hard to do or justify with any other singular character in any short amount of time. But if Kang suddenly got one-shotted in Avengers 5 and they revealed the metal boots and green cloak as Doom takes the throne, there would be little explanation needed, comic fans know he's him. Plus fans already want RDJ and Evans back, but it would feel cheap for most reasons they could do it, like their deaths meant nothing. But for Doom? Yeah bring their asses back, the MCU will need all the help it can get even with the Avengers and X-Men working together.
I knew He Who Remains was Kang when he called himself ' A Conqueror ' So Boys... Season two yeah? You're gonna fucking love it. You should get the full crew in on it
As a hardcore comics fan, yes I knew that He-Who-Remains was one of the MANY variants of Kang the Conqueror. He-Who-Remains is possibly one of the more obscure Kang variants, I think there are over a dozen named Variants at this point. BTW, it's speculated that the event that He-Who-Remains couldn't see beyond was the moment that Wanda becomes the Scarlet Witch in Wandavision. Some people have actually done side by side comparison videos here on youtube showcasing that moment in both series. You might want to look it up.
I'm listening to your comments at the end. Loki doesn't have to "go back and finish his story" in endgame. The TVA reseted that time line and it continued like it happened in the movies. Loki is kind of living "alongside" that time line but with the TVA. I don't know if I was able to explain it xD let me know
Loki has some of the best character development in the MCU because of this series. They did a really good job of growing him from a despicable villain, to a charming anti-hero, into a legitimate hero. Tom Hiddleston totally owns the role, as he tends to do (The Night Manager).
Quantummania movie went out much much later after Loki TV show. So you skipping TV shows and going through all the movies wasn't the right move. But you have an advantage to watch the second season after the first one back-to-back.
Really insane how they wasted Kang in Ant-Man, especially with his amazing debut. If you want your villain to be a major multi-phasal threat, maybe don't have him lose to flippin' Ant-Man. It's like if they had Dr. Doom lose to Ms. Marvel, that'd kind of be missing the point.
yeah i dont blame him, its just the whole coluseum of cosplay jonathan majors seemed like more of a gag than a big reveal that they're all plotting something big, idk i for one am glad theyre being forced to accelerate a dr.doom villian@@Z.A.N.E19
Hardcore fans knew that Jonathan Majors was playing Kang the Conqueror in this episode of Loki simply because of the time manipulation. Kang was often a time traveling/multi versal enemy in the comics. They did change his standard character design, but the plot of Loki was one of the first Marvel shows that started building up Kang as the next big enemy for the Avengers. Though I'm not sure how that's going to go with recent changes...
I do recommend you to watch "What if...?". It came out after Loki and was a nice suprise, because the series presents, in animated form, different alternative scenarios from the movies hence the name.
Jonathan Majors did a tremendous job with this role. Its a shame what he went through and Marvel had to cut him. You are going to love season 2 though! Yes the end credit scene from Quantumania was a teaser for season 2.
Apparently when the timeline started branching and kang didn't know what was going to happen next, is supposed to be the moment Dr strange started messing with the multiverse in spiderman no way home
When she said she’s going to look for free will it was she said the only person that have free will is the one in charge so she’s not going out to do her own thing but to look for the one who’s really in charge
it was pretty much known that kang would be the next major villain, plus every movie there was no way home, multiverse of madness, and what if pointing to multiversal story lines.
I wasn't as crazy about Jonathan Majors' performance as He Who Remains (Kang) here; it was too eccentric, too busy, overly performative. But after Quantumania (heck, even just the trailers alone), it made me like this performance a lot more.
I agree with you. I didn't like him here for the reason you gave and it was okay in Ant-man, didn't like him again in season two, not well performed in my opinion but the last episode of season 2? That was a GREAT performance
28:31 that actually has no bearing anymore since in the first episode of this show the timeline he was pulled from was pruned and him escaping in Endgame doesn't matter anymore
I follow all the comic book nerd channels here like Screencrush, Reel Rejects and New Rockstars and they explained what was going on and who everyone is. They are very helpful for those of us who don’t read comics.
I knew Jonathan Majors was Kang d and also the TVA and Renslayer due to knowing the comic history. Plus years before it was announced that he would be playing Kang eventually and when something is dealing with time in Marvel you can bet your ass Kang has something to do with it
So I knew Jonathan Majors before Loki because of Lovecraft Country, they had just announced him as Kang. For those who watched this live it released before Doctor Strange and the MoM, Thor: Love and Thunder & Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
The thing that gets me about the Sacred Timeline is the only thing "scared" about it is that it's the timeline of He Who Remains. The Sacred Timeline, thanks to He Who Remains, was the last one standing in the multiverse war, that's all.
OK, the moment you've been waiting for, the Ultimate fun fact: If you play the finale of Loki and Wandavision finales side by side, The moment that Kang says he doesn't know what happens from this point on, is the exact same moment Wanda becomes the Scarlet Witch, which is a Nexus event, which is why he didn't know what would happen from there on out.
Loved your season 1 reactions😍 and your editing, Dave. And so glad to read you're all going right into season 2!! The show's season 2 and Tom were up for Emmys, Critic Choice awards, but lost all (to "The Bear" I think).
This was "the big reveal" of Khan, however Jonathan Majors had already been announced as Kang in Ant-Man, thus we already knew he was Kang, when we saw him on screen. There were rumours flying around before the episode aired though, that it would be him, so overall not that surprising to most of us.
Of course, this variant of Loki doesn’t have a place to go back to, since right at the start of episode one, the TVA pruned his branch which occurred when he disappeared from New York. So he’s kind of free to go off in any direction!
This episode was terrifying, I cant lie. Especially when you get to S2. HWR, to me, is the most terrifying one of the variants. You boys should move on straight to S2, and make it 2 episodes an upload like Falcon & Winter Soldier 😏😎👊🏿
I freaking TOLD YOU. You should’ve watched Loki *before* the phase 5 movies. (To answer your question after the reaction, this episode of Loki premiered before No Way Home. That was a lot of people’s problem with NWH - how did Peter make the multiverse explode when Sylvie already did it?) *PLEASE* keep going straight into season 2. The last episode is PERFECTION. I’m still emotionally affected by it nearly 3 months later. And when you said, “Still alone, Loki.” Oh, my sweet summer child. You have NO IDEA… Another note - get ready for some familiar faces in season 2. You mentioned Everything Everywhere All At Once; you’ll be pleasantly surprised at seeing the actor who plays OB. 😊 He was perfect for it.
Some time ago discovered your channel through Harry Potter and really enjoyed your reactions and engaging commentary of various movies and series! Would love to see you reacting Night at the Museum franchise - it's fun and wholesome :)
If you went in blind. probably not. If you read the comics and remembered who Ravonna Renslayer was you had a pretty good chance of knowing who was at the end of time. If you heard the announcent that Jonathan Majors had been cast a Kang, you probably did - even though this particular variant is known as He Who Remains. Remember the end credit scene of Ant Man and the Wasp: Quantumania with the Council oF Kangs? Those three Kangs are Scarlet Centurion, Immortus and Rama Tut and the main Kang is Kang the Conqueror. But now that Majors has lost his court case and Disney has fired him and Kang Dynasty has been removed as the title of Avengers movie #5, who replaces him? Way back in 1963 Marvel Comics introduced us to Rama Tut (Fantastic Four #19) a time traveller who's time machine is the Sphinx and became pharaoh of Egypt. He was eventually revealed to be Kang the Conqueror (but not in Kang's first appearance - Avengers #8 1964). Doctor Doom also invented a time machine that is a rectangular platform and sent the Fantastic Four back to Blackbeards time (Fantastic Four #5 1962) - you've seen this time machine at work in Multiverse of Madness when Reed Richards appears in the Illuminati chamber from the feet up and a two dimensional rectangle appears to be creating him. In Fantastic Four Annual #2 (1964) Doom and Tut meet, compare notes and speculate that they are the same person at different points in time. The safe bet is that Kang will be replaced by Doom in Avengers movie #5. 2nd best guess - they'll recast and it really doesn't matter who they get - the sex and race of the variant doesn't matter. Sorry if I confused the issue - too much of this kind of stuff rumbkling around in my head.
After this show aired is when marvel released movies like Spiderman:No Way Home, Dr. Strange:MULTIVERSE of Madness and Antman & Wasp:Quantumania to keep the multiverse theme. So in theory the multiverse didn't exist in the MCU until that point.
John Majors was publically announced as playing Kang in Ant-man 3, so those of us nerds who pay attention to pre-release stuff knew about him. But him showing up in Loki to play He Who Remains before Quantumania came out was a big surprise. remember Loki the series takes place "outside of time". the Kang from Ant-man exists BECAUSE Sylvie killed HWR and allowed a new batch of alternate timelines, and thus variants of him, to be unleashed. i underatand disney and marvel recently fired Majors due to his legal issues, but i honestly hope they just recast the Kangs and stick with whatever they have planned. It'd be better than rewriting everything to make the buildup worthless.
So leading into the finale of Season 1 of Loki, there were chatters of Kang being introduced into the MCU as the next Thanos-Level threat. The minute He Who Remains mentioned being called many names and "Conqueror" being one of them, it hit that he was Kang. Conqueror is such a well known moniker for Kang that it couldn't just be coincidence. Then we heard ("we" being my wife and I, who are both Marvel comic nerds) that Kang was going to be in Quantumania, and it turned out that he was in his more traditional costume, which tickled us pink! Just noticed your pinned comment. Yo! I can't wait to watch your reactions to Season 2! You're gonna f---in' LOVE it! Incredible show!

This finale had me speechless. Jonathan Majors was perfect in this debut.
incredibly weak and dumb in antman tho, reallly nothing of significance was lost imo
@@sangun123 it was just bad writing
@@sangun123 Jonathan Majors was the best thing about that movie
yeah i dont blame him, its just the whole coluseum of cosplay jonathan majors seemed like more of a gag than a big reveal that they're all plotting something big, idk i for one am glad theyre being forced to accelerate a dr.doom villian@@Z.A.N.E19
@@linn8370 he'll be back.
Can't WAIT for season 2 FINALE reaction !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do Season 2, for me it's the best thing Marvel's done!
This is actually the beginning. See you soon.😁
As good as this season was season 2 is way better!!
Season one was in 2021. Quantumania was in 2023.
Jonathan Majors did a tremendous job with this role. Its a shame what he went through and Marvel had to cut him. You are going to love season 2 though! Yes the end credit scene from Quantumania was a teaser for season 2.
saying "what HE went through" is crazy considering he was found guilty of dv/abusing a woman
@@huh4206and i totally get that.
Can't wait to see what you guys think about season 2.
Apparently when the timeline started branching and kang didn't know what was going to happen next, is supposed to be the moment Dr strange started messing with the multiverse in spiderman no way home
The moment Dr. Strange *was allowed* to start messing with the multiverse in NWH. The TVA would've pruned him otherwise.
He Who Remains. Pharaoh Rama Tut. Descendant of Reed Richards.
Immortis.
All Kang the Conquer.
Love the reaction. Peace and love from the UK
Season 1 came out a while before Quantumania.
Season 2 came out after the Quantumania.
The reveal was supposed to be a surprise for everyone.
next season is so much better, its gonna blow your mind
I can't wait to see their faces when they see the ending!! Great reaction fellas。。.♡♡
Looking forward to seeing you guys react to season 2! 😊
I follow all the comic book nerd channels here like Screencrush, Reel Rejects and New Rockstars and they explained what was going on and who everyone is. They are very helpful for those of us who don’t read comics.
18:09 yeah we know 😔😔😔
anyway season 2 is gonna be 🔥🔥🔥
I knew Jonathan Majors was Kang d and also the TVA and Renslayer due to knowing the comic history. Plus years before it was announced that he would be playing Kang eventually and when something is dealing with time in Marvel you can bet your ass Kang has something to do with it
Can’t wait until y’all get to Moonknight! Loving your Marvel show journey 😊
Say what you want about Jonathan Majors, his eccentric performance here is perfect.
I knew from the comics and it was confirmed when he called himself a conqurer.
Wow I didnt know that! Thats cool
Loved your season 1 reactions😍 and your editing, Dave. And so glad to read you're all going right into season 2!! The show's season 2 and Tom were up for Emmys, Critic Choice awards, but lost all (to "The Bear" I think).
I love the tiny unless-you-know-you'll-miss-it crossover moment in this ep where it lines up with a scene in the last Wandavision ep
Season 2 is FIRE
Somehow, I'd say season 2 is even better.
Can't wait to see you guys in season 2, gonna be amazing watching you guys with this exciting season
Oh no! I'm still watching episode 3 of Detroit Become Human! xD Timing, guys, tsk tsk 🤣
Great reaction guys! Can’t wait for season two ❤😊
This was "the big reveal" of Khan, however Jonathan Majors had already been announced as Kang in Ant-Man, thus we already knew he was Kang, when we saw him on screen. There were rumours flying around before the episode aired though, that it would be him, so overall not that surprising to most of us.
Watching things out of order is really killing this experience.
S1 was awesome,but s2 is just wild,awesome reaction like always,❤️
Of course, this variant of Loki doesn’t have a place to go back to, since right at the start of episode one, the TVA pruned his branch which occurred when he disappeared from New York. So he’s kind of free to go off in any direction!
Salaar movie reaction
This episode was terrifying, I cant lie.
Especially when you get to S2.
HWR, to me, is the most terrifying one of the variants.
You boys should move on straight to S2, and make it 2 episodes an upload like Falcon & Winter Soldier 😏😎👊🏿
Season 1 finale was incredible, but Season 2 takes things to another level. Season 2 is so good, it makes season 1 better.
I freaking TOLD YOU. You should’ve watched Loki *before* the phase 5 movies. (To answer your question after the reaction, this episode of Loki premiered before No Way Home. That was a lot of people’s problem with NWH - how did Peter make the multiverse explode when Sylvie already did it?)
*PLEASE* keep going straight into season 2. The last episode is PERFECTION. I’m still emotionally affected by it nearly 3 months later.
And when you said, “Still alone, Loki.” Oh, my sweet summer child. You have NO IDEA…
Another note - get ready for some familiar faces in season 2.
Please react to “LEO” tamil it is connected with LCU continuity of Kaithi
