I just left Dallas after 47 years. Too much crime. Property values x property tax rates have gentrified me OUT of my home. A developer will be building one of those stupid looking mcmansions where my modest one story 54 year old ranch style home once stood. I don't understand people today. A big two story house that barely fits on the lot it's built on. I guess that's the trend today. Kind of like how today since the majority of the population are fat or obese some actually wear skinny jeans or skinny slacks and they look like humpty dumpty with tiny skinny legs and suddenly this huge gut hanging over their belt. I guess it kind of makes sense. Kids are now encouraged to stay indoors. There is no yard to play in so they stay inside their homes on their devices. You see that's what adults have done to their kids. Great job! They'll be obese before they reach 18 and will be stuck taking insulin plus heart pills the rest of their lives. Homes in Dallas are WAY over valued. You really don't get the value for your money. The people who pay exorbitant prices for the homes are really stupid. They are low IQ with little to no common sense. Otherwise they'd realize how much in property taxes they will be obliged to pay every year. Instead of buying an overpriced home in Dallas it's much better to get a cheaper home in a rural area and invest what you would have paid into dividend paying ETF's, REIT's and Blue Chip dividend stocks. But most Americans today are fat, stupid and lack common sense. They pay $40K for a stupid looking SUV that will drop in value like a rock as soon as they drive it brand new off the lot. And besides. Dallas is TOO DAMN HUMID. I am so much happier living in far West Texas. I can at least leave the windows open at night and the air actually gets cool with no humidity. This is Texas! Dallas isn't Texas.
@@lisasdfwhightechworld9946 It's ok with you that I was basically gentrified out of my home. How do you expect someone to be fun at parties when they've experienced that?
@@tritosac Should the government give you a hand out? It isn’t hard to get 1% better every year. You had 47 years to build compound wealth. 47 years in the best state there is, you could have thrown a dart on rural Frisco/Prosper/McKinney, bought some land anywhere the dart fell on, and now years later, be able to still live in Dallas.
@@cd-rom.Bless your heart. It truly astonishes me how so many adults have such poor reading comprehension ability. This is a very basic skill you should have mastered by the time you were in the 2nd grade. I am not going to expend energy arguing with someone who clearly is in need of adult remedial literacy classes. Your local library most likely offers these classes for adults who struggle with reading. I suggest you contact them for a schedule of upcoming classes.
Well Dallas used to be great for it. Since it downtown and people staying liked not having to stay in hotels. But Dallas just passed some restrictions. www.fox4news.com/news/dallas-short-term-rentals You could check around about STR in Little Elm, its a lake community for the most part. Not sure if this restriction will gain traction in other cities as well.
@Living in Dallas Texas with the Social Agent Group That the housing market is still overpriced lol. Waiting to see what FTH releases on Valencia on the Lake and Spiritas.
@@Prplngldbee616 I am no way trying to be disrespectful to you, but if you have kids I would not recommend moving here. these schools and just this whole district itself is horrible, from personal experience...please consider that. I apologize if you don't! But I'm just warning you, from personal experience these schools are not good.
