i agree man, not cool to go behind someone's back like that. if a person is uncomfortable with what's being suggested, i dont think it's right to go do it anyways when it's something they've expressed would make them uncomfortable. as for the dude who got interviewed, it's rude to disown a person's important values like that right in front of them like that. never waste your time on a relationship where youre doing something that doesnt feel right to you. like how he said he's straight but then his partner became trans, if he didnt feel comfortable by doing what his partner wanted, then he shouldve just broken up with them. no point in dragging out the relationship because he thought theyd get somewhere when that would require his significant other to stop being themself.

I think his points are both valid and a somewhat contradicting, I think it’s good that he knows his preferences, but I also think it’s good that when he was presented with something that he didn’t agree with, he atleast tried to make it work for them both, instead of just saying NOPE to it when he was faced with that information. I myself don’t agree with not calling people by their preferred gender just because u don’t think they pass as their preferred gender, but I do agree that it is kinda crazy that it’s ‘’Ok’’ to change pronouns on a daily basis.
Thats pretty rough. Bumping heads on a topic like that. I know someone who is also opposed to the whole, transgender situation, quite black and white about it. It can be pretty frustrating. Another thing i just learned from this video is "Rhotacism is a speech impediment that is defined by the lack of ability, or difficulty in, pronouncing the sound R." - I didnt know this was a thing until I was hearing the guy in the video talk.

was following the video until this dude said he will call a transgender person the wrong pronouns regardless of how they identify, especially if the person he was dating is experiencing gender dysphoria and explicitly told him that he was uncomfortable being called "she" and "her." i understand that he was raised to think differently, but times have changed, and we should be mindful and supportive of every individual. you don't have a responsibility to continue to date him, because you're not attracted to male-identifying people, and that's not discriminatory. this person definitely needed reassurance, not this whole "if you were born a girl, then i'll call you a girl" bullshit. transgender people exist whether you like it or not.

Frankly, I'm just happy everyone went their separate ways. I hope 'Kyle' gets the support they deserve. It's obvious they were going through a lot which caused them to act out (not saying it's an excuse to cheat on someone) in this manner. I hope the girl the speaker pity dated meets a decent guy or at least learn that no matter how much you like someone, it's never a good idea to date when they just got out of a really messy relationship at least, not until you're certain that they've taken care of any lingering sentiments.
As for the speaker, though I understand his perspective I do think there's an opportunity here to learn more about the trans community in order to form a better opinion of them, rather than blindly using words like hate and spiting obvious facts that I'm sure both sides understand. I'm sure he didn't mean to come off as hateful and during the moment he was venting I'm sure it was due to the pent-up stress of having endured such an awful relationship.

I don't think the speaker is transphobic. He stated he does no agree with it, however, that doesn't mean he 'hates' trans. I mean, he did give the relationship a try after all even after finding out so I highly doubt he was coming from a place of hate. Disagreeing with something doesn't automatically mean it makes you -phobic.
The main point of the speakers story is that you should not lie to someone until they catch feelings for you and then tell them the truth. You should be open and honest from the get go.
iListen well the trans guy isn’t really lying because he could’ve found out that he was trans while in the relationship or he could’ve been too afraid of how his partner(guy in video) would react, but what I personally think is that he found out that he was trans during the relationship.

The term transgenders isn't a real word / is only ever used by people with ill intent towards trans people. There's a good chance that you just didn't know the terminology but a lot of people will get mad if you use the term transgenders

It's very frequently used by far right / religious groups who outright try to harm the trans community. Just my 2 cents though. Summary: cheating is scummy even if you dislike the person. leave them if you want to see other people or do anything disloyal. It's emotionally and psychologically abusive, you can leave someone because you don't like their opinions. Almost any reason is valid if it cant be overcome by communication. Kyle couldn't change his boyfriend's opinion nor could he find a compromise that satisfies both individuals, and this is enough and valid to leave. I dont agree with a lot of things in this video. First off, if Kyle wishes to be referred to as he/him then address him as his proper pronouns. The person talking misgendered him so many times it made me a bit ticked off. Second, while the speaker may not be transphobic, they are definitely being microagressive by not respecting Kyle's proper pronouns and disagreeing with the whole trans thing in general. To regular cis people, it may not seem like a big deal being misgendered, but for a trans person constantly being surrounded by the wrong pronouns can be tortuous and devastating. Trans people have to go through this everyday of their lives just because cis people dont want to change a few words in their sentences. Please respect trans people's pronouns.

He continued to see them as a girl. It's so damaging for someone to actively mislabel a trans person with gender dysphoria. Their partners pronouns are he him and he should have refered to him as such.

This is the first interview I have personally disliked, ngl. Both people in the story were in the wrong. Two wrongs don't make right. (Cheaters are equally as pathetic as hateful bigots in my eyes.)
There was alot of hate at the time but not anymore and it wasnt based on gender it was based on how they had treated me i still interact with them because of my current girlfriend (of now a year and a half)
