When you travel to places like kurdistan then you should call the name of the cities by their proper name by the name the natives call it you British and French did a lot of harm to the kurdish issue so don't do more destruction I don't come to your country and do what you British did to my native country you should stick to europe
Erbil that is what Arabs want to call it but the right name hewler so be considered for once
Welcome.to.lebanon my freind
Have you ever been to India?
I have visited 86 countries and Lebanon is definitely in my TOP 3 !!! Amazing nature, very rich culture and history, very welcoming and friendly people, crazy nightlife and very yummy food (I mean really really yummy) ! Beirut has it all ❤ ❤🇱🇧
Thanks for watching!♥️
True, I would gladly move there.

Enjoy ❤ I'm Lebanese, watching this it brings lots of memories from my childhood, unfortunately because of war I left Lebanon.
You are armenian
@@mustsphamatto3601 There is a sizable Armenian community living in Lebanon dating back to the days when the Ottoman Empire prosecuted them. Most of the new generation was born and raised in Lebanon. They are full Lebanese citizens and are more loyal to Lebanon than some of the other Lebanese. They are very prominent in business and have representatives in the Parliament and government.
@@gusbaz6408 I am a kurd born in Lebanon but I always want to be a kurd and feel as a kurd all the way my family are all Lebanese by passport but I will be always a kurd not le
During your next visit, try HARIA RESTAURANT IN ADJALTOUN, get a cab from somewhere around Adonis or kaslik. For a more elaborate seafood checkout AL SULTAN BRAHIM RESTAURANT in antelias autostrade, beirut. Love Lebanon 🇱🇧
@@gusbaz6408 And many Armenians have joined the army.
The Labneh you had for bfast is quite traditional and pretty similar to fromage blanc (eaten throughout France). Labneh is not yogurt however; it is yoghurt that has been drained of its whey for a day or two. This is a way to “preserve” yoghurt during long winters when cows don’t produce as much milk. In snowbound villages the labneh is drained even longer, then rolled into balls and kept in jars covered with olive oil (oil blocks bacteria from forming). And that’s how farmers maintain access to dairy products as they wait the arrival of spring.
Thanks for watching!
Harriet and i have been to Beirut many years ago before the civil war. The takeaway we got from Lebanon is its kind people and of course it's delicious food. You guys have given us the spark to
visit again. Thank you for all that you do to bring it back into our mind set . As always, we Love you Dearly ❤❤❤ Harriet, Jim and Yuki Richmond, Va.
As a Turkish person I can say that our food is deeply inspired by the Lebanese cuisine even if we have a very different culture.
I’m pretty sure it was a both ways type of thing. I read somewhere that shawarma for example comes from çevirme(not sure if that’s the right word) which means rotating meat in some way.
I’m guessing that’s not the only thing we took.
You don’t have a very different culture. Lmao. That’s a fact. But Turks are racists to Arabs and don’t want to be associated so you keep lying to yourself about this 👍🏽
Definitely in my top 5 cuisines!
Same!
My favorite food from all the world!
Haha! It is great!
Lebanon is currently suffering from an economic collapse and a sharp drop in the currency due to the cessation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to provide it with financial aid. Lebanon is a very small country that has no wealth other than successful doctors and surgeons, tourism and ports. They have clean restaurants and varied food. I hope you will find friendly friends in Lebanon.
Thank you
Wow its soo satisfying seeing you guys enjoy my beautiful country!! You’ve reached some great places but thats still 1 percent of what lebanon can offer. i advice you after you discover the beaches you should discover our mountains that have unbelievable sceneries ❤️❤️❤️

Thanks so much! ♥️♥️
Lebanon pound or Lebanon lira? It's confusing. I know they accept dollars, 2-whats the official currency. My research says Lebanon pound
It’s the same thing, Lira/pound , but you use the lira rate website to find out what the currency is according to the US dollar
Try... restaurant joseph for the best chawarma in the world
Molly love the ice cream... especially because its pink. 😆 Great video. 👍 Cheers and stay safe. ❤
Hahahahaahaha! Yes Richard! ♥️
Quick question guys - how did you exchange and pay money over there. Thanks
There are exchange shops that use the black market rate all over the city :) mainly on hamra street ♥️
Schwarma + ice cream, you probably were all over the news in Lebanon next day because of that lol...As a Lebanese everywhere I introduce myself wherever I go, the typical reply I get: oh Lebanese food is amazing!
Hahahah!
Nice. You found some great spots, including Te marbouta in hamra street😊.

Awesome, balisimo🎉🎉🎉
Going to T-marbouta without ordering their delicious spicy potatoes is a crime 😭😭 I hope you'll get to try it some other time! Idk why I'm watching this while working but I'm feeling hungry now...
Omg if we knew we would have ordered them 😭
Thanks for amazing travels. Local food points and сulinary pleasure, imprresions are very-very good. Very nice watching the video.

The president of fifa and cwsc fabregas are married to lebanede. The afc asian cup 2023 will take place in qatat.
hi Lahmajoune is pure lebanese , it's not armenian .. even the name is lebanese , "lahmajoun " is not armenian .. armenian cuisine is best knows for Sujuk... .. i can go into details and proofs how all started in Lebanon , from the first ever bread dating back to 12k years , to the discovery of olive oil and using oil for health and beauty , the olive tree was a sacred tree for the lebanese phoenician , this tree first existed in lebanon .., to wine which was discovered by Bacchus the Phoenician diety of wine who got killed by a greek king , because he got drunk and thought the BAchus poinsoned him .. Bachus is still preserved as the family name of a huge lebanese comunitty . inclusively in Lebanon .. the lebanese restaurants have been offering the lebanese cuisine around the world since 120 years .. watching back the old lebanese series, it was always mentioned ... but it spreaded to the neighbouring countries and the arab world very recently .with the lebanese who open new restaurant in every corner in the world and the arab countries included .. Falafel is purely Lebanese , the Egyptian version is called TAAMIYA 0 the difference that it is made with beans while leBanon's is made with chickpeas .. SHawarma is originally turkish . but Lebanese changed it and made it more tasty . every sandwich in lebanon it has to have tomato , cucumber , salad , and sauces .. because it reflects the moderate nature of Lebanon. :)
Thanks for watching!

Lamajoon is actually Armenian. Im glad the fella made the comment about having Armenian influence. We love our Lebanese brothers and sisters. Much love from Armenia
It’s not Armenian. It’s an Arabic word meaning “Meat Dough”. Lahm means Meat and Ajeen means Dough. That’s a bullet proof that it’s Arabian in origin, so Lebanese.
@@Ahmed-pf3lg I'm Armenian originally from Beirut and I agree with you, Lahmajun is Arabic, but there is quite a difference the way the Armenians (in Lebanon or elsewhere) prepare it. It can be quite different, could almost be considered two different "dishes". I would say the comment should be "It's Arabic influence on Armenian lahmajoon". With respect! love to our Lebanese brothers and sisters.
the lahm bejin ask for chips lettuce and mayo inside
Next time! 🥰
Not sure if you will reply but I’m assuming when you say 100 you been 100000 pounds so today …worth a dollar or so ..hence things are about half the price when you were there assuming the prices stay the same in the shops
Ask the taxi man to take you to bourj Hammoud the snake it's called Basterma Mano OK my friend have a good one 👍 😂❤
You have to try Falafel Tabara (like it more than sahioun and is really old) and Mankouche ghalayini is on the other side of Bristol hotel
Thanks for the recommendation!
try visiting other cities like tyre/tripoli/sidon/byblos😁😁❤️❤️
More to come!
Nice video, thanks for showing Lebanon to the world. By the way, it is pronounced "Lahm bi Ajeen" which literally means "Meat in Dough" in Arabic 😊. And that ice cream did not look Arabic. Arabic ice cream is made by hand with real fruits and scooped manually (not from a machine).
Thanks for the comment! It said it was Arabic ice cream 😉
👍👍👍
🤩
Food looked so nice , I had researched the currency sit-ups while back and understand it in full now . Food was amazing and it’s so nice to see you promote this wonderful wonderful country . 😊take care
im lebanese rule #1 never judge the sandwich from the first bite but otherwise i loved ur video!

Thank you! Byblos and Batroun videos coming soon!

lahmbajin is actually lebanese and the word literally stands for "meat in dough" in arabic
Great!
The Armenian Lahmajoun tastes different than la7m bi 3ajin
And where to go to buy SIM card in reasonable price? And what would be the reasonable price for 20 GB internet?
We actually didn’t get a sim card we just used local wifi
I paid about 14 usd for 30Gb
@@MarwanHaddad-do1zj could I ask which supplier you used?
@@dabbleandtravel is it good enough to rely only on local wifi? I would be particularly interested in this once you’re outside Beirut

Welcome to Lebanon my friends, i am glad you liked our country and i hope you enjoyed your stay and meals here, if you want you can ask any local for anything and they will gladly help, to help you on the names of the food the meet pizza is called "lahm bi ajin" (try to emphisis on the h sound) and it literally means "meet in a dough", and the cheese we put in the manakish is called akkawi
Thank you!
Iam Armenian I live in France 🇫🇷 Lyon OK bye 👋
T marbouta is one of the good restaurants in Hamra👍gd choice
It really is! Thanks for watching!
That's definitely not arabic ice cream
Lebanese cuisine is genuinely incredibly good. I’ve had some authentic Lebanese food in Dubai and Bahrain, the only two Middle Eastern countries I’ve visited. It was a thousand times better than whatever supposed Lebanese serve here in my city. This must’ve been an amazing experience. Nothing beats eating famous cuisines where they’re actually from.
oh trust me in Lebanon it is just different the meat there taste very fresh unlike anywhere i tried
No mint in your falafel???😜 But mint is what gives it a fresh taste. You need to eat mint in every Lebanese dish from now on and maybe you’ll grow to love it like I do.👍🏻
Omgggg noooo the whole mint leaves is not for us 😂♥️
@@dabbleandtravel 😂😂😂
لبنان بلد جميل انا من امريكا
Thanks for your comment!
I'll be there in October. can't wait try try all that food.
It is not lebanese cuisine, it is levantine
The best food in the world 🌎 trust me please 🙏
Are u planning to visit Saida in south of Lebanon let me know
Not this time round ♥️
Welcome to Lebanon 🇱🇧 I hope you both enjoyed your stay here ❤
Thanks Sachs!
Arab, not Arabic for the cuisine.
I lived in Istanbul for 9 years, and a lahmacun should come with fresh lemon, green lettuce, sliced tomatoes and sliced raw onion. Some people like parsley too. You squeeze the lemon on the meat (which should be lamb mince) and add the other toppings before folding it in four. It’s always accompanied by ayran, the yogurt drink.
Have a good time my friend ❤️
My man! Lovely. That’s not hummus with Shawarma. That’s called “toom” in Arabic, i.e. garlic paste in English 😁 Greetings from a Lebanese in London (cloudy shit 😭). Enjoy!
Bro I am a Lebanese if you are staying until summer in Lebanon then you shall go to the
SPLASH WATER PARK
