Love these sessions. Azucena is very talented. Being someone who sews, and only 5' 0", alterations are a part of life. I find it hard to move items on, as I'm always thinking, I could just fix this bit or that. Bring it up to date. Don't always do it though 🙄 A video of Azucena in her workshop actually working some of her magic would be great.
Oh yes! What a great idea! I’m 4ft 8 and like you Theresa, my sewing machine sees a lot of work! But I’m only confident enough to do straight forward taking things up. Would love to see Azucena doing the more complicated adjustments xxxx
Ps particularly things like changing where a waist sits. I’m very short waisted

Largely because of watching your videos I have just recently had some things to be altered to fit me better. I had the sleeves shortened on two blazers and an Anthropologie blouse. I have broad shoulders, a bit of a chest, and bigger upper arms so I often have to buy a bigger size so that things will fit in those areas.
Two months ago I bought a lovely burgundy/ dark pink Talbots velvet blazer from a vintage shop. It is a 16W (U.S.) petite so it fits in all those places, but the last time I wore, I realized it is too boxy through the body so I am going to have it taken and I think it will be much more flattering.
I always have to remove the shoulder pads from garments. I don't need them. Your velver blazer sounds great!
So inspiring! Thank you. I will start thinking about how to alter the clothes I avoid wearing.

This was a helpful video. I am 62 and finding so many things not fitting as they used to. I still enjoy being fashionable but fit has become an issue with clothing cut for a younger figure where everything is sitting high and tight.
I would love to see the clothes, after their alterations.

Love this video and the inspiration to make your existing clothes “new” again. I just went to a tailor for the first time to fix some trousers (one of which is a Zara pair) and while it cost me $$$$, it’s worth it if I am more obliged to wear the clothes because they fit properly. Also, tailoring is SO sustainable.
On another subject, anyone know where her white, block heeled mules are from? Love those for work and spring/summer!!

I have an amazing, frilly, Giambatista Valli gown that I bought to wear at a wedding and I then showed up to the wedding one day late. I definitely need to find a way to wear that dress 😜
I wish I had someone like Azucena to help with my more tricky alterations! I do my own basic alterations, like hemming and taking in width, but she really is re-making garments.
Thank the Lord for a popper. That dress is now a wow on you. Does Susannah have a network of seamstresses she can recommend if you live in Scotland like me. It’s hard to identify good resources. Loved how creative and purposeful this was. ❤️
Silver leather jacket: can you make it even shorter, like a waist length bolero? And wear it layered over a slinky blouse like the silk one. That could lengthen the leg line and show off the waist.
if you reduce the sleeves on the frilly dress keep the fabric. you can use it for something else. A tie bow for a collar on a blouse,or a thin scarf.

Please let me know what I can do about loose summer trousers that are always too short for me (I'm 6ft tall) and I love my loose trousers to touch my shoes but I can NEVER find legs that are long enough

That silver jacket…oh boy, looks like it’s made out of plastic or tin foil? I don’t like it, sorry. Shorter looks better, but the fabric remains. And on top of the neon yellow set it looks like some bio hazard/road works uniform. No, no, no.
