We are all sinners and have to face our eventual demise, whether from a car accident, sickness, or something else. “The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” Romans 6:23. Even in their grief, their children are grateful that their parents died together. That’s leaning on the Lord in all circumstances. It’s not up to us to figure out when and why things happen. “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths”. Proverbs 3:5-6.

Still hard days, I pray for their church and family. That God comforts them as only he can. Hug your family every chance. Give a kind word to anyone. We never know what they may be going though.
There are things worse than death. Watching my parents descend into dementia was a long, slow death. That was much harder than having my 44 year old brother die suddenly.
"Absent from the body ... present with the Lord". This truth concerning all who trust in Christ is surely a great comfort to God's people when facing such earthly tragedies. Our Christian loved ones have gone on ahead to be with Christ, but we who remain behind and who are His by faith are assured that we shall be gathered together with them in the fulness of time. Then, looking back from eternity's shore, it won't seem to have been so long until the day of our reunion with our Saviour and with our saved loved ones. Shalom and Maranatha!

So sorry for the tragic and sudden loss of both of your parents. As one of you stated they remain together. I lost my husband just two months ago after decades of marriage . You know the saying home is where the heart is- I am emotionally homeless without him- I am not suicidal, but many days I wish I could have gone with him. I very much understand you feeling comfort that they are together- prayers to your family for your peace as you move forward.
