Thank you for this lovely slice of Cork City - my home town since I was born there in 1938 and left it forever in 1950 but my heart will always be with the old city on the Lee!
Great set. Great tempo and blend of instruments. I attended one session in Cork at the Spailpin. We didn't have variety of instruments there that nigh but it was good. The Irish are the best session people on the planet.
The Lee Sessions still going strong in Cork City as of June 2018 - the place is a hub of authentic traditional music performed by superb musicians. Cork city should be the next stop for the All Ireland Fleadh Cheoil!
Brilliant love the Irish music and even more now I done my family history and found out (I always had the feeling) I have Irish blood in me . My 4x great grandfather came to East London here in England around 1810 from the Cork area. Always said will make a trip to southern Ireland and Cork one day and especially visit the bars with its music 😊

It helps that there are no out of tune flute players gasping along... A pleasant change to recorded live sessions
Wtf is wrong with flute players ??
They breath in all the wrong places.
