It's the Venice of Ireland because every year the streets get flooded.

@@paulaharte9384 flooded with whisky ?

By rain or tourists?
words can't express how much I love this city! I was there one and a half years ago and sat at the very table where you're sitting (the one with a football team on it).

I visited Cork in 2006. Great place!
This city looks so lovely 🥰 thanks for sharing! 👍🏻
Small correction, cork was founded by saint finbarr in the 6th century, the vikings didnt come along and establish a trading post until 300 years later.
I remember it well
Really? St. Finbarr had a church but I would say the city was founded by the Vikings.
@@johnke996 He had a monastery, settlements build up around monestries.
Why would the vikings choose to set up a trading post there if there was nobody around?
@@johnke996 yes. I was a young man back then 🤣
@@macker33 That viking dicovered Irish cities sounds like legend, as if Irish people never had the sense to settle around the River Lee or River Liffey. Irish people were no doubt there, but Vikings probably used these areas as slave ports as the Portuguese -then British-used Lagos, in Nigeria. But African tribes were there before the Portuguese who gave Lagos its name.
I'm currently in Limerick looking forward to visiting Cork. ❤
Está gostando de Limerick? Estou na dúvida entre as cidades!
Patrick's Bridge is renovated now and beautiful and there is new beautiful footbridge with seating either side connecting Bus station to , well to the other side!
I miss cork so much!!
I really enjoyed this video! My great grandfather x3 John Kennedy was from county cork and his wife Kilkenny.
Can't believe I've been there. Although I couldn't visit much because of the lack of time. The main reason for craving visiting this place's Rory Gallagher. And I'd definitely come back over and over again.
I went to all the Rory sites when I was there. 💚☘️It was a wonderful place.
Once this convid is over. I will be visiting Cork this year. Looks like a great place and the people I've met from there are lovely :).
I can't believe I'm learning about Cork from John Kennedy himself.
You're WELCOME!
@@johnke996 you missed a F in your name if not you can be US president
Amazing city!
Loved your show enjoyed looking at cork. I come from court myself. And I love hearing those Shandon bells.
Hey John! Good to see you've become a true Corkonian! 😁😁
Probably the best travel video I’ve watched in a while
Cool bells! I'd be playing those bells all day! 😁🔔
You can't beat Cork and Cork people. The salt of the earth.
Would love to visit sometime when covid is over. All my grandparents are from there.
@@spacechimp3199 Don't miss out.
@@enlightenedchristian3183 I’ll try not to 😂
Such a beautiful city! The Venice of Ireland 😊 since this video was posted, the city has changed so much 😮
If someone was to visit for a weekend...
what are the top 5 places to see?
And name 3 places for lunch, dinner and bars.
That someone is potentially going in June😅
Hi John! Great to know that at least one is still alife!

CORK My HOMETOWN
My ancestors were from Cork before they left for Canada
I'll try lifting a guys pint when I visit Cork. All they do is look a bit bemused. You must visit Salford and do the same!
CORK!!!. My Grandma's peoples...HOLLA!!!! We Americanized tho!!!I BEAUTIFUL. ..Long time ago..wouldn't have known if she hadn't said They were the few who came across with something or her parents parents. However my grandfayher ❤who was Mexican. Took care of her. But she was my grandma. She taught me cards. And My grandfather would be frying bacon in the morning and I loved to act like I was asleep and smell it and the coffee brewing. When I was too young to get out of bed myself I made my way to my grandpa but somehow I made it back into bed. BUT I remember those smells. Even older on the couch. Even though there was a bed and a basement. Anyway, Those memories and how I'd ike to wax nostalgic...Those just for me...! I remember celebrating their 50 th Wedding Anniversary

Good video but give that man his pint back . lol.
3:12 as far as i can see there is some people stealing beer in cork, be careful hahaha
John Rogan sailed from Cork to Brooklyn New York in 1847.
I think you're drinking that guy's beer!
I need a room with kitched for a couple to stay for a month in cork . How to search ?
Pls suggest .
Cork City was NOT founded by the Vikings ! They did develop the city area however.
my dna results came back apparently im related to tons of ppl in Cork, want to visit now lol
where did you do the test? is it trustworthy
@@petehuda7457 23 and me... and maybe? Probably? idk i think so lol
I'm a staunch Loyalist but i would love to visit this city for some pints and a sing along. Nobody will know right?
Nobody will really care
🤫 down with that sort of thing. 🤣
Lol ya little tinker you
Anyone want to learn Spanish with me and spent the rest of our lives going between Ireland and Spain? Look me up! Cork will become my home in 9.57 years or less.
I just did one of those dna tests, over 56% of my heritage comes from cork.😊 I'm coming to cork someday!
Ugh
Americans are annoying af 😒 🙄
Why did he take that guy's beer though?
I’d guess it was deliberately-staged. I’d also guess that most people could kinda see that.
I would Love to get My Hands on Cork.
I would Bring in Australians, Canadians, NZers, USAers, Brits.
Build Something Great.
But I would Insist on Total Control of Cork.
Did you just steal the man's pint at the end? The look on his face..
😆 🍻
He stole that man's pint in the end. Was he ever seen again after this was filmed?
Jaysus Christ you took the poor auld fellas pint. They'd call ya a stingy bastard in Cork.
Hahaha
imagine working 3rd shift and living right by the church lmfao
Most beautiful girls on earth there, great makeup and so feminine and nice
What about the guys?
@@chipichipichapachapa733 I didnt watch them. It seems they go to the same hairdresser no the whole island
Why did you steal that man's pint.

Is Cork, where the top's of wine_bottle's, come from??
Do they have sex, differently: in cork: "The cork-screw!!"??-"Sexsextra." (I mean etc.)??

IRELAND...THE TRUTH COMES OUT
IRELAND...THE TRUTH COMES OUT #2
It has nothing on York.
I’d sooner see Dublin in all honesty. There’s something about Cork that doesn’t vibe with me no matter how much certain people try and package/sell it. Their distinctive take on the Irish accent is actually cool but otherwise it just seems like a toilet of a city.
Good God !
If you've got nout nice to say , then just hush or scroll

You could visit both and see for yourself which one you like better. But it's not even necessary to compare them actually.
Like Edinburgh and Glasgow. Glasgow is much friendlier- I’m told Dublin is friendlier than Cork to newcomers
Don’t pee on the blarney stone
Pretty sure cork isn’t in kerry
The Venice of Ireland my arse. Don't get me wrong - I love Cork. But lets not exaggerate too much. Next we'll be claiming to be the Real Capital of Ireland 😁
"Cork has 29 bridges while Dublin has 24 so Cork is Ireland's Venice"
What the fuck sort of statement is that. Could only come from down in that big town you call Cork City.
Lighten up... just a joke
Real me bollox 🤣
Real inferiority complex re Dublin with this guy 😂
Creenge
I wish people would stop with this "Real capital" nonsense, it's not true and just silly. However, Cork is a beautiful city and a nicer city than Dublin. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.
What kind of of an accent is that boy? S'not Cork anyways. C'mon fess up lad
Guess you are a Corkonian? 😁
@@DWTravel I'm actually a kerry man 😂just having a laugh 👌😄
Ah, cork, where the locals joyfully hate the rest of ireland. Its not ireland, its little Britain.
Friendly people ?????? Are you sure of that ??????. Do u think so ????.
Worse city in Europe to visit they Act nice but are very Dangerous people in cork city and around cork don't visit you'll be in pain
Do they call you David O Toole because you're an O Toole
Maybe try Finglas city ..I hear it's a peaceful place...
