No one has "teach" an infant to dance, they will groove before they can walk. If that isn't love from Source I don't know what is, and this band gets it. They don't make music, they feel it down to their core.

There’s some incredibly gifted folks gathered in one group. The bassist never gets much love in these kinds of dynamics, but the dude nails it. He’s right where he’s supposed to be. Nice work Mr Bass Player.
Brian Bond. He even has gotten a part in singing his own on the song Dirty Dirty in concert. But, I have seen comments on the bass and drums. This band is so good that everyone from the bass and drums, to JaRon on Keys, to the ladies marvelous singing, to Adrians fire in guitar and of course, Eric's incredible vocals are always commented on.
Growing up on authentic soul music in the 60's and 70's, I recognize this band as the real deal. If you miss Al Green, Marvin Gaye, Otis Redding, Sam Cooke, Ray Charles, etc., this will help restore great memories.

I believe you can give Adrian's dad Mel a little credit for playing those albums! The Universe is responsible for bringing Black Pumas together.
Something about the chorus line, "I want to know you better..." the way the background vocals spike it up, it pierces me like lightning flashing all the way back to me from 1969! Such magic. I am a raving new fan. (which, at my age, is saying something!)

At 70 years old, this soul,funk groove took me right back to Marvin, Sam,Jimi and The Band
in the Golden ‘60’s. The Hammond sounds, the tight action from the bad ass rhythm
section and the awesome ethereal vocals! I haven’t heard something this funky sweet in a long long time. Their Jimmy Kimmel performance from 2/18/21 of this jewel could have gone on forever!
