Dad teaching Tallula social skills and Mom teaching her life skills. You two are being great parents. She will grow up to be a good person.
Love it when Tallula interrupts Yosh when he's talking. Besides, her conversation is more interesting since Yosh is always about "something is broken" .. HAHA
More important than how the boat sails in light winds is how she performs in strong winds! I raced on board a 15 ton 50 foot sloop for 30,000 miles and my best memories of how she performed were, beating into a force 9 doing 9 knots with only a small no.4 storm jib up, no main sail and the fastest was running on a broad reach in another force 8 storm with full main and no. 3 jib doing 16 knots with a rooster tail chasing us and that was a boat with a 3 spreader rig with 7 tons of lead in a 9’ fin keel! If I had your boat I would make your inner jib or staysail a self tacker on a boom and then you would have a very capable and easy boat to sail strongly to windward if the need ever arose such as having to do rapid effortless tacks in a confined seaway/channel or indeed to easily escape a dangerous Lee shore. Ye have a very powerful and capable long distance comfortable sailboat which will be so safe for your growing family in the knarley weather and sea conditions that ye will most likely experience on future adventures. As they say to kids(in Kerry) getting a new pair of shoes(or especially in the past when kids went barefoot until their teens) for the first time, “Well wear” wishing a long life for the sole leather. Well wear, happy days and fair sailing to all who sail on your new ship! SkipRay, Kenmare bay, Kerry, Ireland.
Yosh an Lula totally cracked me up
Ps.yosh you need wind to sail ⛵️
Yall are bloody awesome parents 👌🏼 ... love how yall allow her to just do what a kid does(noise and so) and not just shush her or do re-takes... she's part of the show after all.... my daughter and I love you guys. We'll done mum and dad, you bloody LEGENDS... love from Cape Town South Africa 🇿🇦 ❤️ 💙 ♥️
Long time original viewer here. Your enthusiasm and happiness is contagious on this day when I feel quite bad from the chemo/radiation. It’s amazing to watch how much you all have grown, I’m glad to see your channel is growing too. So hello from Dallas Texas! Also that girl is gonna be in 90 mile an hour talker like Josh!
I don't know you Lynn and of course you don't know me but I wish you all the very best with your fight. Take care Lynn. 😘😘👍👍💗💗
I did both started at 180 finished at 123 sill here after 18 years try to stay positive it helps good luck.
Hugs from Galveston Lynn 🤗🩷
You are such great parents and Tallulah is growing up to be cuter than ever. So happy to see you enjoying the new boat. You guys deserve it! 🤗💞
Watch out bro...your newest growing crew member WANTS your job. ❤
So happy for the new boat. She appears great for you all. Stay safe and make smiles each day.😊
Tallula is so talkative with baby speak SO adorable, her comprehension is great & she is a sailor! Nandji 2.0 is cruising & smooth sailing! Josh you remain optimistic as usual with repairs etc! Bonita you are such a wonderful Mum playing with Tallula 💖 Josh is also great Dad! 💜💙🤗🇦🇺🍻
10 Knotts wind,,doing 6 knotts,, and TOWING THE DINGHY! ❤❤😂❤❤ Also, what great parents you are,, 💖
Your happiness with the new boat is all over y’all’s faces. Congrats it’s nice
Wow! I’m so impressed that you met your goal of moving her out of Thailand on time.
It’s wonderful to see the three of you so happy with your choices and moving forward in life. Can’t wait to see what happens next!
As always, love Tallulah’s chatter.
Nandj 2 is a fabulous looking vessel. Thankfully she's good in the light winds. Hope you get all the little fixes done and hope the boom isn't worse than your 1st thought.
There is a fastener system that is used in the aviation industry called a rivnut. It is a blind nut installation that allows you to use the same holes in the mast (you may have to step them up in size). Then you can use standard bolts or machine screws to reattach the boom vang. Check it out.
Yep good idea used them many times
Rivnuts are still limited by the same crush that rivets use. Vangs are really highly loaded. the fitting should be keyed into the sail track and most spar builders insert an internal sleeve into the rig at deck level so you can tap or use really good quality rivets. The load on vang fittings can be insanely high. The rivets that came out of the rig look pretty underdone. We built maxi boat rigs back in the 80's with helicopter rivets that were $10 each back then. They held the entire mast together from top to bottom (2 piece mast)
His name is Dave... He knows what he is talking about.
Rivnuts do not operate under tension like rivets do. The crush portion is only used to hold the nut portion in place. Once the bolts are installed, they take the place of the rivets…the rivnuts operate under compression only; plus the boom vang would then be removable and serviceable if needed.
So wonderful too see Nandji 2 starting out being a rippa ! That is too bad the Vang rivits have all failed , the idea of using RivNuts is good , but I wonder how galvanic corrosion would be a problem latter on, the nits themselves being steel. Replacing with larger alum pop rivits may be the best option. Tallula is So Amazingly cute and starting to talk so much. Give her a few more months and she will never give you time to say your piece, LOL . CHEERS AND FAIR WINDS Steve h.
Glad to know the boat is performing better than you thought, looks like you guys did right by buying her !
Loved the way Yosh talked to Tallula about taking turns speaking. What great parents you are. ❤
Yosh, it's amazing to see how fast Nandji 2.0 moves either when powered by her engine or under sail. The fact that you were doing 6 knots with 10+ knots of wind is friggin' amazing. Those drone shots where the drone was level with your boat and keeping pace really showed how fast Nandji 2.0 was moving. Pretty incredible. Good luck with fixing the boom vang.
Your boat looks beautiful underway. I'm glad she is performing even better than expected. Wishing you a safe sailing always. ⛵
With the Yankee cut headsail we found that pulling out the staysail made a huge difference.
Love Tallulah's input. Please have her talk more. So cute
No buyers remorse. Gotta love that!
Your enthusiasm is infectious! Froth on!
You can really tell that you have so much more room on the new boat. That boat is so sweet ❤😊
Your daughter is seriously just the cutest! Love seeing how you are raising her on the boat; what an amazing childhood.
So pleased that Nandji 2 is a good sailor ... well done! Tallulah's a talker, she'll break hearts some day. ❤
EPIC ❤ EPIC ❤ EPIC
I love that you have a full on car seat for the boat what good parents ! You should try ride safer harness vest just like a car seat but a fraction of the bulk
You know where all that cruising speed is coming from, it was zoomed in about 20 times, that skimpy little red double sail!! I did notice it changed colors toward the end 😱
She looks so so nice on the water just glides, what a beauty Nandji 2.0 is.
Great video you guy’s and Tallulah how funny is she.
For the boom use butterfly bolts , put through hole and the ancker will spring out and will hold then screw in tight.
Credit when Credit is due . You are fantastic parents great vlogs.
I think the rivets are simply holding the bang fitting in place. The lumps of metal in the track might be corroded lugs from the base. The metal looks like cast Aluminum which is very susceptible to corrosion.
Doing that speed and towing I think you forgot that part great boat congrats Steve east Coast Australia
Greetings from Adelaide. Bigger boat with bigger sails will sail better. We have just gone from a Catalina 320 to a Catalina 42 and we are really pleased how she sails in the light stuff. Easier to get to hull speed with a bigger boat.
this is one cool ship and can only imagine the upgrades in the near future ! very exciting
Gosh Yosh and Benita, what an excellent boat! Tallulah is having the time of her life and letting us know! Do great to see the huge smiles back on your faces! Best Fishes!❤❤❤
You guys are a joy with your precious Talulla Mae. She is adorable. Very happy for you with the new boat. 👍✌️
she looks amazing....so jealous of your new boat....lol
Revnut for the win on those replacing the rivits !!! stainless...
2.0 sails beautifully! congratulations :)
topping lift told me to tell you "We don't need no stinking boom vang"
Well done Yoshi, it’s an absolutely beautiful part of the world. A great location to shake it down. She’s like a limousine on water and my goodness Tallula Mae is such a chatta box😂 wonderful to see that it’s all plain sailing ⛵️ happy days.
Good to see it all coming together for you guys- safe sailing - North Carolina.
I love seeing you guys happy and at sea, You've worked so hard for so long ...love seeing the smiles as you get to know her.
Tons more room and speed too! Those are good qualities to have! That boat has sat a while so you'll be working the bugs out for a while. Lots of load on that boom vang so not suprised those rivits snapped. Better fix is comming! All this and Tallula in charge! Oh my! The smiles say it all!
Hello Legends!!! Watching the joy on your faces from you all on this shake down sail was fun to watch. Tully bug is such a talker - she is sharp as a tack for sure! Such a beautiful boat and I am so happy that it is working better than your expectations. Thanks for sharing! Yew!
Replace those boom vang rivets with rivnuts. A lot stronger and you can remove the vang fitting if you need to.
What a beautiful boat
That Tayana needs more Power! New Headsail Perhaps??? So Happy for your Three, Lula is Very Talkative like her Mommy and Daddy. Your new boat will Step out for you and give you lots of Power and Speed! Happy Happy Once again seeing you enjoying the World Home! Fair Winds, God Bless and Keep you always in His Hand
I raised my son solo. Most people around us didn’t understand him. Watching your videos remind me greatly of that. More importantly she has has some lovely parents.
I'm loving the safety line off the stern with two buoys just in case! Great story and storytelling on your videos, Thanks for sharing it with us.
congrats on 130K subscribers!
The boat looks great sailing, after little by little, you will have the way you want it!❤ Ronnie, East Tennessee USA
Hard to believe a couple of years ago have past already when you announced that you were pregnant.... time as flown by to reveal the evolution of your sailing skills and dedication to your family safety and lifestyle!!!
The sugar scoop will take some getting used to, maybe turn the aft cabin into the guest quarters, lol...
A sure way to keep visitors to a short stay.
😄 pretty sure Tallula was saying "shake down" ...loves to add her two bits
W0W!
I love that Tallulah is learning nautical terms-I'm pretty sure she was saying "shakedown" when she got on camera in the beginning?! So cute! Keep the adventures coming-I'm enjoying living your adventures vicariously-I've been to Phi Phi islands and Similan Islands for diving-so beautiful out there-hope to sail those waters one day!
Y’all are definitely in your element! Nandji 2.0 is such a sweet sailor! It won’t be long before Tallula has her own channel! It won’t be long before we see Australia on the horizon.
1st time for me... Sails out...Hello Telulua!
I just love Tallula!! ❤ She’s a happy child!
Glad to see the Three of you so happy....I think you deserve it.....hard work and persistence.....who knew🎉......stay safe. Sail on.....

Look at you absolutely hookin’ along!!!! I am so happy to see you all. Nothing but smiles!
❤❤❤
Pirate Roy
Wow nice to see all three of you back on the water fair winds to all
Nice to see you in something a bit more boat shaped. And you need Monel rivets in that vang, not Aluminium.
Congrats on a job and an adventure well done!🎉👏👏👏👏
I still miss Marley though, how's he doing?
We all miss Marley
Enjoy enjoy
It's a joy to see all of you so happy!
Your daughters speeches are the bomb. I called my wife in to listen to her. I think you have one of those exceptional children. Good sailing
Great to see you on the water. Hopefully the repairs are small and easy. Sail on!
I think you made the right choice in buying this boat and im loving it. I personally think you shou keep the boats name, because it describes you and your family as well. Long time Kiwi fan.
Happy times hey. That’s a beautiful boat. Love watching you guys, fellow Aussie 🇦🇺😎👍🏼
Beautiful vessel looks outstanding and is really performing great for you guys. Very nice seeing you all so happy with Nandji 2.0🎉
Just wait till you are no longer towing Expedition Drenched huge dinghy! Y'all will be flying along! LMAO
Tallulah love when you speak
It's fantastic that you have finally liberated her off land and back into the water! What anchor have you got on there? I won't own a boat that does not have a SARCA anchor-- I think they're better than Rocna-- according to tests on SV Panope they are and I've survived 60 knots on one... Go well! Phil
love you guys...
So happy for you guys! A sailo'rs dream!
A whole new world for you guys on 2.0. You just cannot beat waterline length! So happy for you. Might see you in Langkawi.
Independence looks nice sliding thru the water, have fun and enjoy and stay safe 🙂
Good on ya mate....
Congratulations, enjoy your new sail boat 😂
Yeah big boats do well in 10 knots plus. I always have the main up too. Jib only is what Canadians do in the Great Lakes. I am glad you like your new boat!
The cenery is stunning, beautiful location
Well done you three , the boat is performing well, interesting to see some fast ocean passages in the future keep smiling cheers !!
You guys are happy 😊 and that is awesome . I hope only great sailing for you guys and your new home 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Loose the ridgid vang (easy to put too much on and break your boom) and go with 2 4 to 1 tackles from a strop on the boom to the aft lowers with the working ends led back to the cockpit. Good gybe prevention. With the traveler and where your main sheet is on the boom, you'll be laughing.
That's what we had set up 9n Nandji 👌 will do again for sure
Good to see you guys enjoying the Tayana 48. Enjoy life. Wish you the best. BTW your barber should be sentenced to life in prison 😧🤣🤣
How is love your content, The best of luck in all your new endeavors. May the wind always be in your sails, Until next time.
Very cool that the new boat performs so well!
Sweet. Glad to see the new boat do well. Good to see your enjoying life.
excellent
Im stuck in cornfields....enjoy your surroundings, may the wind be at your backs!
Hey guys! New sub here! I think I found you at a good time with a new speedy Sailboat! Watch those speed limits in the harbor! Also enjoying Lula's sagacious words of wisdom! 💛
