    I would recommend a sketch pad to draw out your ideas before you actually start cutting material.
    That way you'll get a good idea of what the finished product might look like.

      Thanks, i figure if my channel was aiming at the more starting side of stuff, then I migth as well have something as a basic primer for stuff.

    Good stuff, Jay. In addition to seconding John Schweiger's sketchpad suggestion, I would also suggest a blade sharpener, to help keep the price down. Great video

    It's summer, very hot here these days, and honestly I just couldbn't be bothered to make anything recently. But seeing your videos I get enthusiastic all over again and now I can't wait to start doing a project. Thanks Jay!
    edit: Oh and I forgot to mention, regarding what I asked you about EPVC. The stuff I ordered was correct, I got paper cuts to prove it :) For people from this area the brand name seems to be Forex boards and they cost about 4 USD for a square meter if you plan to order.

      That's the thing, you can build one thing several different common ways so I didn't want to get into everything, I don't think I could!

    Have you ever done a video where you make model walls out of daz clay

    • @TerrainMadeEasy

      No I haven't, and I feel like that would be more expensive than using something like card / foamboard and then scultping on with das.

    Great stuff - always good to have a guide for the folks just jumping in. As to measurements - there is one system for nations who have been to the moon, and one for everyone else ;-D I kid, I actually do use metric for crafting because I hate fractions. Sometimes I throw in some standard measures at the same time, though, so I can pretend to be a Canadian. ;-) Cheers!

    • @TerrainMadeEasy
      @TerrainMadeEasy  3 роки тому +1

      thanks, I don't mind inches, I just hate the fractions, just feels awkward. In the UK we often use both.

    Is your favorite plastic sheet corrogated? They use corrogated plastic signs for political campaigns here in the US that I "collect" after every election

    • @TerrainMadeEasy
      @TerrainMadeEasy  2 роки тому +1

      No, but I don't mind that stuff, I call that "fluted" plastic but it can be useful :)
