Professional vocal coaches, professional voice teachers, professional stage director, professional singers/musicians considers Dimash Kudaibergen to be one of the greatest (if not the greatest already) singer/vocalist on this planet currently. Range, tones, tunes, tones, colours, dynamics, timbres....you name it.....practically nearly no limit where Dimash is concerned. He can sing pop, rock, r&b, opera, rap.......bass, baritone, tenor, soprano.....he's all in one.

This was not a competition. You're right that was Russian lettering in the back. However, Dimash was singing in French. His native language is Kazakh and Russian. He is learning English and Mandarin. As someone already mentioned he sings in 12+ languages. As well as plays 7+ instruments. He has been performing on stage since 5 years old. He is now 25. His parents are both singers. He has become the "national treasure" of Kazakhstan. And Dimash does sing Vitas' song Opera 2. BTW Dimash is having a solo concert in NYC December 10th at Barclays. (Austin, TX)

Thank you for a wonderful reaction. You were open and fair, and I'm really glad you were able to enjoy his incredible gift. He's 25, 6'3" (many people somehow assume that he's a smallish fellow.) He was observed, as a baby, to have perfect pitch. At 5, his parents (both singing professionals) enrolled him in music school. Please, please do a reaction of Adagio and Opera 2 (not an opera.) He also has covered some Queen and Michael Jackson, very enjoyable and surprising. Just search "Dimash does Queen/Michael Jackson." Since then he has worked very, very hard to improve on his natural talent. He cares deeply about giving his beloved fans his very best. He has deep respect for his parents and grandparents, who contributed to his present-day ability. You often will see photos of his father sitting in the audience and beaming with pride and love. He also is devoted to the people (his "Dears") who have been moved by his music. And he contributes to the assistance of people in need, as well as the music education of naturally talented kids. He's a tender, kind, and sweet-natured young man who I believe deserves every good thing that comes to him. Dimash is the best vocalist in the world hands down! I became a fan back in 2015 watching him on the Chinese competition show The Singer & this first performance was this song “SOS”! Dimash was on CBS "The World's Best" competition back in February but please avoid reacting to those performances. CBS edited them down and Dimash resigned when he was the likely winner as he did not want to compete against children who were also on the show.

Dimash is an amazing package, including the looks, the body movememt, shyness and extreme good manners, humbleness, respect for his traditions and family .....He is also university educated, which is not usual in popular music. Probably these are some of the reasons why he has fans of all ages, backgrounds, and nationalities, and this in itself is somehow a new thing.

As a fellow metalhead (love almost all genres now but metal will always be my starting point) I love his voice. Funnily enough several studies over the years have indicated that metal and classical have the most crossover in how they affect the brain and also the people who listen to them how they think and assess music.
A lot of it seems to be how complicated the music is (instruments wise etc) as they are the two genres that consistently have multiple instruments involved and lots of variation even in a single song both in instruments and vocals. He refers to his style broadly as neo-classical so although many of his songs have classical elements to them only a few are pure opera and many have lots of contemporary singing styles in them.
From the comments on his vids there seems to be a lot of metalheads who have surprised themselves by being blown away by his voice. He's worked his heart out over twenty years to train his voice as much as possible and continues to do so, I haven't come across a style I've heard from him that I've not loved. He just has a really specific tone to his voice that I just find very beautiful. There are some vids of him singing amongst like 6 singers and yet you can pick out his specific part because of how unique his tone is.
He also has full concerts online, Bastau, Moscow and Arnau- if you end up diving down the rabbit hole and becoming big fans. Thank you for the video, have a lovely weekend.

For me, Dimash is such a fascinating character. He is 25 but has 20 years of vocal education. It is one of those stories where everything falls into place. Yes, he is talented but both his parents are singers (mother a soprano, father a pop singer) so that got recognised. Dimash himself is very hard working so by now he has two degrees and working on a masters in composing. I am happy he turned down the Astana Opera House because we get to enjoy his voice. I would recommend Ogni Pietra (the fancam Arnau concert version), you will be blown away and it is one of his newest songs so you can see how his voice is maturing. Welcome to the world of Dimash! He is truly one of the best singers in the world today. You will be amazed if you continue to listen to him. Every song has surprises and new feats of vocal prowess. You can compare him singing Vitas's song Opera 2 with the Vitas original. He invests himself totally into what he sings. He also plays about seven instruments. By the way, while his fans in most countries jump to their feet, the Russian audiences never seem to stand and most of the them don't even smile. It is hard to believe how unreactive they are. I think most of those who rush up with flowers are his Chinese or Kazakh fans who fly to Russia to see him perform. He speaks some English with poor accent and he speaks fluent Russian and Kazakh (a Turkish language which is written in Cyrillic characters like Russian).

At the end he said he wanted to thank the viewers with all his heart for supporting him when he was on Slavic Bazaar, and he thanked the Bazaar for helping his career and that of many others. Dimash is a concert pianist plays drums, several string instruments, voice covers 6 1/2 octaves, sings in many languages (partially speaks) French, Italian, English, Russian, Ukrainian, Mandarin, Spanish, Turkish, Siberian and Kazakh ( also a couple I didn't know what they were). He has one album on Itunes, and has several singles. He classifies himself as a Neo-Opera Pop singer. Huge star in Kazakhstan. was brought to the attention of the rest of the world by the Chinese TV program 'The Singer' (Singer); a singing competition. He placed second. He was sort of an alternate or special invitee (the 2017 version) so that he placed at all was a huge shock to Chinese entertainers. His second largest audience is now Chinese. Born in 1994 he is currently 25 years. Some asides, when it sounds like he's singing Russian, but 'rolls' his 'R's' he is singing and speaking Kazakh. ALso his last name Kudaibergen is spelled is the 'Kazakh' version, the Russians insist on adding ov to the end. Check Wikipedia for much more of his biography.

This is the Slavic Bazaar competition 2018. Dimash won Grand Pix of this competition in 2015 when he was 20 or 21. He was invited as special guest in 2016, 2017 and 2018. This performance was in 2018.
