The band named A'Studio that accompanies Dimash, is the same one that composed the song minus the lead singer named Batyrkhan Shukenov, who died of a heart attack in 2015. The song was originally performed in 1998 and the lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebayev, (the keyboardist with long hair, which we see in the video accompanying Dimash.) The tones in the middle are oriental Arab technique (or traditional Qazaq singing, called Joqtaw. It is a lament to the deceased singer). The last run is 24 seconds on 1 breath. The man in the white shirt giving a standing ovation at the end is Igor Krutoy. This is the first time he heard Dimash. He came out of retirement after seeing this competition to begin his collaboration with Dimash.

You can see Dimash in many performances where he exerts a huge amount of resonance which results in his head vibrating to the heavy frequency vibrations. I understand completely. I get super annoyed when people think judging a vocalist is subjective, as if just because you prefer someone that makes them better🙄🙄 Totally ridiculous. I am a Metal gal and Dimash has yet to create one song in my prefered genre. (Hopefully, it is simply a matter of time🤩😅) I judge like I would an Olympic Vocal Athlete. Qualities like range, quantity of different vocal skills mastered, emotive skills, strength, breath control, lung capacity etc. etc. If you judge objectively, Dimash is the only person on the planet, at this time, capable of being given the Platinum Medal for Vocal Athleticism. I have to agree. Subjective things shouldn't take the label of "best". However, I don't think singing is the case. Otherwise there wouldn't be Music / Singing schools and colleges and universities. He's a doctor in Music and he's been working on his craft ever since he was 5. Even if you don't like a style or two that he sings in, there's no denyning the dude is a MASTER in vocals, performance, composition and basically anything relating to the world of MUSIC. I agree, best technical singer out there. RE: tongue, What coaches say he's relaxed? I'd say it's jaw tension--1 of the VERY few times Dimash EVER allows any imbalance -but he's still in control. He thins the sound + things get more restricted ... what's shocking is the quality of his decrescendo at the same time... that's how you know he's in control. That softening is incredible but few mention it. In other videos of this song he decrescendos without the jaw being affected. He always is improving!

Anyway, "Opera 2" was originally sung by Vitas who in the song only does one key change up. Dimash goes up 3 keys and completely kills the song!! He does it so well!! Did you catch that the last section with all those runs was all on the one breath? That ancient middle eastern sounding trill, just after his 'manprano' section was a traditional Kazakh mourning vocalisation which Dimash inserted into the performance - without prior notice to this original Kazakh band [ A-Studio] as a mark of his respect to the original lead singer. { Sinful Passion was composed by that singer and the pianist, you see there on stage. You can find the original clip on line}. # Yes. Dimash has a lot of 'reserve in the tank'! Including his rich full Bari-Tenor range. Have a listen to this in 'Ti Amo Cosi', (performed with the spectacular singer whom he idolised as a young student; Lara Fabian, and the emerging great Lyric Soprano; Aida Garifulina.) I see you got some recommendations for his music video The Story Of One Sky on your channel. The MV was released on September 24 last year. He worked on this composition for three years. BUT, please do yourself a favor and slow down. It's far too early for that. I don't want to offend anyone, but the video left even die-hard Dears/fans speechless. Imagine stepping out of the Middle Ages and boarding a rocket without ever having ridden a train. I think the comparison fits quite well. Maybe you should wait a little longer and listen to some other, more "normal" Dimash songs first (whatever „normal“ means when it comes to Dimash😅). The band named A'Studio that accompanies Dimash, is the same one that composed the song minus the lead singer named Batyrkhan Shukenov, who died of a heart attack in 2015. The song was originally performed in 1998 and the lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebayev, (the keyboardist with long hair, which we see in the video accompanying Dimash.) The tones in the middle are oriental Arab technique (or traditional Qazaq singing, called Joqtaw. It is a lament to the deceased singer). The last run is 24 seconds on 1 breath.
The man in the white shirt giving a standing ovation at the end is Igor Krutoy. This is the first time he heard Dimash. He came out of retirement after seeing this competition to begin his collaboration with Dimash.

If a singer exhibits head shake, it's because the resonance the voice is generating is very great and causes the head to vibrate. It is not voluntary. You can see Dimash in many performances where he exerts a huge amount of resonance which results in his head vibrating to the heavy frequency vibrations. It very likely comes from his classical voice training. I noted that Placido Domingo exhibited some head shaking during his duet with Dimash this last December.

If you judge objectively, Dimash is the only person on the planet, at this time, capable of being given the Platinum Medal for Vocal Athleticism.

I have to agree. Subjective things shouldn't take the label of "best". However, I don't think singing is the case. Otherwise there wouldn't be Music / Singing schools and colleges and universities. He's a doctor in Music and he's been working on his craft ever since he was 5. Even if you don't like a style or two that he sings in, there's no denyning the dude is a MASTER in vocals, performance, composition and basically anything relating to the world of MUSIC. The thing with the flowers has something to do with respect for the artist. It's a cultural thing. The audience listens to a performance without yelling or screaming that the artist can no longer be heard. No sound may be missing. In return, they then shower Dimash with flowers and gifts. That's the norm there. He then always donates the flowers to hospitals, retirement homes or similar institutions. Russian audiences are more reserved, but that doesn't mean they don't love Dimash. They just don't show it that way. Like I said, it's a cultural thing.

It was not a tongue vibrato. According to vocal coaches, his jaw was so relaxed that even his tongue vibrated from the power of his singing.
I agree, best technical singer out there. RE: tongue, What coaches say he's relaxed? I'd say it's jaw tension--1 of the VERY few times Dimash EVER allows any imbalance -but he's still in control. He thins the sound + things get more restricted ... what's shocking is the quality of his decrescendo at the same time... that's how you know he's in control. That softening is incredible but few mention it. In other videos of this song he decrescendos without the jaw being affected. He always is improving!

It's very touching when Dimash sees him at the end. He keeps asking his dad if he sang well. Make sure to have the captions on so you can see what they are saying. Anyway, "Opera 2" was originally sung by Vitas who in the song only does one key change up. Dimash goes up 3 keys and completely kills the song!! He does it so well!! Rumor has it that Vitas got upset over being shown up and banned Dimash from ever singing his song again. It is a very challenging song to sing and Dimash nails it! The people they show backstage are his fellow competitors and their faces are priceless. A must watch video. Be prepared to be blown away.

That ancient middle eastern sounding trill, just after his 'manprano' section was a traditional Kazakh mourning vocalisation which Dimash inserted into the performance - without prior notice to this original Kazakh band [ A-Studio] as a mark of his respect to the original lead singer. { Sinful Passion was composed by that singer and the pianist, you see there on stage. You can find the original clip on line}.

Have a listen to this in 'Ti Amo Cosi', (performed with the spectacular singer whom he idolised as a young student; Lara Fabian, and the emerging great Lyric Soprano; Aida Garifulina.) I see you got some recommendations for his music video The Story Of One Sky on your channel. The MV was released on September 24 last year. He worked on this composition for three years. BUT, please do yourself a favor and slow down. It's far too early for that. I don't want to offend anyone, but the video left even die-hard Dears/fans speechless. Imagine stepping out of the Middle Ages and boarding a rocket without ever having ridden a train. I think the comparison fits quite well. Maybe you should wait a little longer and listen to some other, more "normal" Dimash songs first (whatever „normal“ means when it comes to Dimash😅). Normally this song and especially the MV is not the best video for reactors who don't know Dimash that well. Dimash surpasses himself with his vocal skills that I can't even describe. The video is the best I've ever seen. The message that Dimash wants to convey in this video is very important for him and for us and I think also for today's world. But believe me when I tell you that focusing on both is incredibly difficult, if not impossible. The video is full of symbolism. No camera angle is unwanted, every scene has meaning and should be watched carefully to understand the video. And then there's his voice. He has so many beautiful "older" songs in so many genres and languages that will blow your mind. Get to know him first. He's getting better and better. Please, you are in no hurry. Enjoy getting to know him. Take your time, you won't miss anything. As the saying goes: the way is the goal.
