I saw Cody and was amazed with his singing and his piano playing. Cody is a savant, which is someone who has amazing talent he was born with. Dimash has been professionally and classically trained since the age of five. That’s why he has such control and of course he has a lot of genetic talent and he has perfect pitch. Cody should not be compared with Dimash. Cody is special! 😊

When you think you've heard everything from the incredible Dimash, he tosses you the next bomb. Great experiences with the Dimash phenomenon are waiting for you. He is already a world star. He is the phenomenon of our time, of our generation. He is a God of EXTREME VOCALS. His voice, his passion on the stage and his absurd technical mastery give me goosebumps every single time.
This Competition is very grueling but he surpasses brilliant and successful. I think the second episode of this Competition he loses his voice due to flu, but when he started singing you wouldn't know he was sick and he was in pain when sing high notes. It's so unbelievable and amazing. Even when he was invited on one of China show. He was coughing in blood but seeing all his Dears fan there support him. He started singing and you should see his fans screaming and crying telling him to stop. This why we love this young man with so much love and respect. He just released a new song in Chinese today. BEAUTIFUL song and it might you not expect it.
He was only 22 when he performed this. Now 25 and believe it or not, he only gets better. When you get past the Singer to Sinful Passion you will be stunned.

“ love is like a dream” is my favorite . He showcases all 6-octaves beginning with his low Baritone’s on up to his 6th Octave and sustains the last note about 20 seconds. Beyond amazing.
The guy pumping his fist at the end is Dimash's father who is a famous singer and producer in Kazakhstan. Dimash's mother is also a famous opera singer in Kazakhstan.

On stage thongs can go wrong for anyone, no matter how confident you are in your abilities. I think Dimash is an exceptionally brave performer because he pushes the boundaries and raises his own bar higher on stage during live performances despite the inherent risk of failure.

In years to come, my descendants will say proudly that their grandmother was living at the same time as this beautiful, angelic boy. Speaking of "angelic," watch the ORIGINAL version of him singing "Love is Like a Dream." It should start out with Igor (the pianist) announcing his name, and there should be round, colorful lights in the background behind Igor. I recommend this version because in the second version they don't include the most exquisitely beautiful bit of music I've ever seen/heard in my life, in which he turns his eyes upward and seems, before your very eyes, to turn into an actual angel. Just check it out and see what you think. Yes, it's probably staged---and it doesn't matter, because it's perfect. It begins about 4:21 into the video and lasts for only about 6 seconds. During that time, you won't want to look away.

I just realized that if I had to describe Dimash, it would be as follows: Singer, composer, instrumentalist, multi-linguist, dancer actor, and humanitarian. Geez, I'd settle for one or two of those. Oh, one thing to bear in mind, I think that at the time of this competition - 2017 - his English was limited to 'hello, bye, thank you, and how are you'. Difference between Vitas's and Dimash's singing is that Dimash always sings alive and Vitas sang that song with the help of technique...
No, they both sang it alive, Vitas just doesn't sing it live. They both use technique, but Vitas also uses technology.

You guys discovered The same 2 amazing people that I discovered and felt exactly the same way you did AND I am glad you posted your reaction to both of the Dimash performances. I had already seen them just a while ago and I wondered if someone like me reacted the same way and then I found you guys. I agree too Dimash is the best EVER on voice. Kodi Lee, well, he's just the best to connect emotionally each and EVERY time I listen to his AGT performances.
Alone, On a desert island forever, I would pick Kobi Lee. But no one is better than this Alien named Dimash on voice quality and dramatic performances with that "out of this world" voice.
Just want to remind you that he has one of the deepest voices ever aswell, not only high notes. but if you are to follow watching his THE SINGER series then you wouldnt find that out before his song "confessa". his best songs are when he includes his low notes and later on to high notes and these songs are outside THE SINGER series. recommendation for those are "Love is like a dream", "Passione" or "Love of tired swans". It seems as though there are many dimash fans here whom wants you to follow the THE SINGER series first, its up to u guys.

There are many fabulous singers out there (including Cobi) but as you go along you will see that Dimash is in a space all by himself, There is no one out there to compete. NO ONE
So, you are Hooked, he ? Then go on with the Singer Series, make your way through 2018 performances and land in 2019, where he Tandems with Igor Krutoy, russian famous composer. You scratched the surface by now, yet a lot to see and to come. He’s soo much better now, it is hard to understand what is going on . He is a phenomenon, best singer on the planet and soon will be known in the whole world. He has already worldwide Fanclubs. And we as Dears are his peaceful army to support and protect him.

Please note he's not an english speaker at this point and any non kazakh/russian songs he was learning phonetically in one week. so his first english performance here, which is this one, has the most mispronunciations but its still mostly accurate and still AMAZING.
