The Knox Urbane Pro MKII Shirt and Pants may not look it, but these extremely breathable garments are Certified CE AA for abrasion resistance. Meaning you can ride out in the hottest weather without having to worry!

We definitely need more solid black hot weather riding gear.
Nice and Toasty!
Comes in white too
@@MrTorpedo01 You mean the Black/Grey? That one looks okay to me.
That Olive Pro Utility MK2 look very nice also.
Its a popular color but if Youre trying to stay cool why you'd wear black is beyond me. That being said I ride with my Dianese leather jack and leather globes year long here in southern cali and never feel hot when I ride
Black doesn't make your clothes hotter. It absorbs light yes. But clothing is not a good conductor so it doesn't transfer the heat to your skin very well. If you are hot it's not because you are wearing black clothes. It's because it's hot out and you are wearing clothes.
I picked up an Urban Shirt from you guys along with the gloves… love them!!!
Thanks so much for this guys. I've been looking at the Knox site and thinking of the urbane Pro, this has shown me I do not have the physique for it. I'll stick with my A* mesh.
LMAO! Sameee
The back protector is Level 2. Even better! :)
Hi just wondering if you could answer a question for me? Between the revit proteus, knox urbane pro and the pando moto shell, which would be best for keeping cool on hot summer days? Thanks
I only own the Knox version but I would say they are brilliant for summer due to all the mesh! You get nice air flow!
Have the Urbane Pro mk2 and I like it overall.
The 2 things u need to be aware of:
a) I find the inside of the sleeves/arms on bare skins itches. Maybe give it a few washes should fix the itchiness.
b)I ride in a sub 30- 37degrees celcius tropical weather, u do sweat when riding slow in these jacket as it's tight fit + it's heavily padded around the back(AA rated), the back protector is hugeeeeee hence don't get much air flow at the back of the jacket. You may want to size up to have space in the jacket for air to circulate around.
Agree on both of these points. I find that I’m cooler in a looser fitting BMW Rallye jacket with all the vents open because I get more circulation against my skin.
6’1 190lbs 40 inch chest, M-L in Revit, Medium in Merlin and 52 in Dainese. Which size should I go with for the Knox armor pro?
Go on Knox's site, I believe they have a sizing chart. Just grab a belt to measure yourself up with, hold to a tape measure and you should easily find your fit.
@@ShuffleMasta I already bought one, the large fit perfectly.
Any thoughts on using this for off road riding? Trying to decide between this and the RevIt Proteus. As the Knox Urbane has AA abrasion resistance I wouldn't need to bother with an abrasion resistant layer over it as I'd have to do some long distances on the road between trails. Could stick a jersey or waterproof layer over it as needed
I literally just came upon this product for exactly the same reason. I want some body armour, but ideally want to ride with jersey when off-roading (carrying a wind/waterpoof layer for the ride to/from the lanes. Did you go for this in the end? I was looking at the Forcefield product, but that has not abraison so we need to think about that for the ride home, but it would be a hassle to carry an AA mesh jacket when riding on hot days.
@@johnwilde4953 yes I bought the Urbane Pro MK2 with upgraded shoulder and elbow armour to CE2 + the chest protector. I've been using it trail riding the last 2 months and am happy enough with it. Went on a trip with 250 miles each way to the trails and lots of road riding in between so it was great for that. It's not perfect - a bit on the heavy side, the material isn't that comfortable but it's all you need to wear. I would have liked the shoulder armour to come down a bit further and I think the elbow armour rotates around a bit so my inner elbow feels a bit exposed (synch straps might have been good here). I was riding on very rocky trails on that trip and I did feel I'd be screwed if I came off with the Knox but I guess gear is always some sort of compromise. Not many other products like the Knox though.
An alternative might be a klim Marrakesh jacket with a chest & back protector underneath (I have a Marrakesh and it's really comfortable as it's stretch fabric so should give a close fit also - I bought a size too big so the armour moves too much for off roading). I plan to get a waterproof/windproof layer for over my Knox armour like Klim Traverse or RevIt component (I bought this but it was too tight at the elbow with the level 2 armour in the knox urbane). I got a jersey for over the top of the Knox too but it's again tight at the elbows, might be worth sticking to the level 1 elbow armour provided you're happy with less protection there.
@@alexjsonany new thoughts after a year? 🤔 I'm personally wondering whether Klim marrakesh with a separate body armour underneath wouldn't be better, more comfortable than Knox urban.🤷🏽♂️
@@michal_z I still use my knox when trail riding (although I haven't done much of that this year). I'm about to buy the new Marrakesh jacket and did consider getting under armour for it. I wear an airbag vest under my Marrakesh for road riding. I'd probably still use the Knox for on the trails as I don't mind damaging that jacket as it's considerably cheaper than the Marrakech - the level 2 armour in the Knox is good too. There's a new mk3 Knox Urbane which might be more comfortable although it's switched to lighter armour so not sure how good that would be if you fell on a rock . Look at the adventure spec gear too their supershirt is a lot lighter than the Knox and is AA rated also
@@alexjsonhi mate, what do you think of the Super shirt in comparison to the knox?
You mean ‘trousers’ lol 😆 I thought seeing as they are British you might have pronounced ‘URBANE’ correctly and called them trousers instead of pants 😜😆😆😆. Great gear though! I love mine! The trousers are nice and stretchy too and have good hip and knee/shin protection 👍🏼
The other benefit is it tells you whether you need to go the gym or not. Your buddy does....
Pass. Looks like a money grab.
They never mention abrasion resistance. So confused how it's rated AAA
@@orionnocap This one is rated as a AA. If you check out the companies website they explain more there.
