      ua-cam.com/video/_eedI9XhSP4/v-deo.html i found this one riveting as i started my working life yards from the entrance without ever knowing it existed back in 1983

    Brilliant. Must have been a bit unnerving walking next to the HV cables knowing you were in a metal tunnel with plenty of potential for water ingress. Very cool video 😀

    • @ALWResearchTeam
      @ALWResearchTeam  2 роки тому +3

      Yes it sure was Urbexy! The HV cables were sat silently at 11Kv and the tunnel has survived the Blitz so hopefully it will remain intact for many years to come :)

    Great little video, Andy. Very interesting to see the layout of the tunnel and the construction method. Wonder what kind of paint did they use to protect the interior. Looked like some sort of japaning or russian kuzbass tar pitch. Very interesting. Thanks for sharing, mate.

    • @ALWResearchTeam
      @ALWResearchTeam  2 роки тому +2

      Good question! I didn't look at the finish too much but it looked to be a protective paint similar to what was applied to ships of the similar age. Thank you so much for watching and commenting :)

    Инфраструктура ми се чинише, че е само основите на сградите плюс канализацията, оказва се че под канализацията явно има и друго по-дълбоко. Чувал съм слухове за подземни тунели дето свързват не само сгради но и градове. Вероятно може да свързват и държави. Може дори транспорт на хора и продукти да става през тях, вероятно. Елктричество и всякви комуникации/радио са под земята. Слуховете се оказаха вярни.

    Excellent, always good to see the foundations of Hull.
    Have you considered doing a review of the old nuclear bunker just outside Patrington and Kilnsea.

    Very interesting. Quite some time ago I heard/read that there is a tunnel large enough for vehicles connecting Hull to Paull (Fort).
    Can't be true, can it?

  • @ey242

    is the large pipe anything to do with the old reckits steam line or maybe the ground breaking hydraulic system developed in hull used for raising bridges over the river, (former pump house based near scott street the last bridge removed) made famous most recently by a "Banksy" painting

    • @ALWResearchTeam
      @ALWResearchTeam  7 місяців тому

      Hello there, I did film the reckitts pipeline a few years back. the ones going under the river filmed here are utilities for the local authority

    • @ALWResearchTeam
      @ALWResearchTeam  2 роки тому +2

      Hi Anthony, these tunnels were originally built in the 1930’s to carry power lines for the tram system above
