- Roller skaters, let me tell you these things are INSANE!!! of course seeing is definitely believing, but unfortunately these are discontinued. So, if you can't get a set of these, you can always vicariously live through this review!
There's many reasons that these are such a closely kept secret, yet such a highly regarded wheel in the enthusiast roller skating market, come see why!!!

Grew up skating in the 80s early 90s ....i saved forever to get a set of riddel speed boots ....omega composite plates with speed clip axles ....german two piece racing bearings and a set of hot pink labeda fan jet wheels ....they were top of the line in my neck of the woods and were very expensive....almost 600 dollars in 1986 87 .....that was a ton of cash for a 13 year old boy ....but i had to have them and worked my ass off to get um ....would still have um but my cousin who was the same age as i died far to young from a genetic disease and at 33 we lost him ....but we skated every friday and sat nite together as kids and he had nice skates but always wanted my "grail" skates .....so before he left this world ....i gave them to him ....while he was still able to use them ....see we always knew he wouldnt live much pased 40 if he was extremely lucky ....they told us as kids he would make it to 25 ....but he beat those odds ....man i miss him ...rest in peace jonathan .....aka "the duck"
Fan jets were the wheels to have in the 80s
Excellent review! I couldn't agree with you more, when it comes to Scott Corey's urethane. I missed out on the Wicked Scotts but I was able to pick up a very similar shaped hub, made by Jim Garrett, wrapped in Corey urethane. I just started skating again recently. I skated a lot in the 90's and loved the Wicked Lips wheels. I grew up in Tulsa so these were the obvious favorite among all the serious skaters. We also rode Hyper Cannibals a lot. As much as I loved both of those wheels, they're not even close to the feel of the Corey urethane. I've never skated any other wheels that have so much grip at such a high durometer. The breakaway truly is almost telepathic. If I want them to stick, they stick. If I want them to slide, they breakaway with ease. I've been skating my Scotts for about six months and I'm still amazed every time I ride them. To anyone considering a set: If you can get some, get some. "Worth it" is an understatement.
love it mate. A similar thing has been hovering in the back of my mind for a while. So, kudos to you for an awesome video.
I have talked to Scott regarding me doing a video of his operation, so hopefully that will be in the works and be a good companion piece to this video. Once again, great job mate. Take care.
We would love to see it!
Totally awesome video!! Thank you very much for sharing!! I plan to purchase the SC wheels. 😃
Love your commentary 🙌🏼 I need some wickeds!!
If you can get them, don't let them go!!!
I’ve wanted a set of these for so long 🥺
Just a question. I am just getting back into jam skate and shuffle skating. I picked up a pair of R3 and already replaced the bearings with Swiss and wheels are cannibals. What plate would be good for this skate until I want to upgrade the boot down the road?
I own 5 sets and I’m always looking for more these wheels out perform any other wheels I own
Howdy!! Wondering if you can send me a high res pic of the wheel lineup from Wicked. I am trying to track down the wheels I had on my childhood skates. I remember them having wicked in them and having a red hue. I thought they had witch in the title but this video is the closest I've gotten with my research to finding them. Anyway you could help me out?
You talking about wicked lips?
Fantastic video!
Thank you!
I need new bearings and wheels need recommendations...any help
Would be appreciated...thanks indy
Thanks for the video. I really want some Corey's. Can't find these anywhere. All sold out of the Enforcers too
They've been discontinued, so the only way you'll find them is second hand unfortunately
Why?
Serious question, how do you feel about doing those lip moves with such fancy wheels? I stopped doing that because I was beating up my fanjets... I started saving those just for racing. I am constantly torn between wanting to SKATE my wheels like you are doing here verse keeping them nice for speed sessions. I guess the answer is to just buy cheaper wheels, but I love skating on really good wheels.
The best part is knowing there will always be more wheels!
Saving money to buy jam skates. Is it good to buy snug/it should have a little bit of room? Thank you
You want them to fit snug, they will shape to your foot over time
was wondering if you can help me? Im going for speed, I tried radar halos 99A and they slipped too much indoors, then I tried a 95A and its alittle better but was going to try a 92 A (roller bones turbo) do you think its too soft for speed?
I'd go for 94 if possible, be careful though, the turbos have been known to have tire and hub separation issues
I have the Turbo in 94a and they are great albeit I would probably go for one click softer next time to avoid some of the break in before you get to max grip. I’ve got less than 6 hours of hard skating on mine but they are very good responsive and smooth wheels that feel very predictable and accurately rated in durometer. The quality of the finish on the hubs and the amount of air bubbles in the urethane is worse than I would expect for a 190 dollar set of wheels though and I think next time I’ll be going back to Sure Grip for either the Monza or equivalent even though they are much heavier
@@2ndAveScents thanks 🙏
What are your thoughts on the wicked version?
I've had dozens of those, they're great but the Scott's are better
What plates are you running?
In this video, Snyder Advantage
He still makes them, it’s just in batches and they sell out fast!! Awesome video too man, you nailed it.
You have a better chance at hitting the lottery than getting a set of Corey’s!! And to make it worse you have the wheel hoarders who don’t have anything else to do but try to get multiple sets of the same wheel just to let them collect dust I never knew skate wheels are like the sneaker market!! I think it lame why not let everybody try to get a pair. Then when they get the wheels they post their entire collection like dude why do you have 5 sets of the same wheel??
People like that love to show off what they have all while demonstrating what they don't have... And they have the nerve to keep the newer ones and sell away their older sets for damn near the price of new if not more in some cases so they can go ahead and request a pre order from Scott for more new ones since he only takes requests from the big "names" hebegb isnt any better either. Since his cost more.
@@jaysfishandwhips1328This isn't how it works at all.... But..
if that victimized mentality serves you well, I guess run with it huh 😂
It sounds like you're crying about being tardy with no coins to spend at the arcade and salty as hell at everyone else who was there long before you with money to spend.
ᑭᖇOᗰOᔕᗰ
Made and given out to certain people within the community. Cant even pre order because the pre orders are sold out 😂
They were openly available to everyone years ago. life caught up with Scott and those wheels were a bit harder to make, so that model got the axe.
@@rollerskateuniverse6763this dude doesn't seem to know anything except how to cry about things he has literally no clue on.
