Hey thanks for making this. Computer "reviews" are mostly just commercials with inadequate demos inside them. Seeing the bugs you dealt with is exactly the info people need to know. I already have this computer but was debating on getting a newer one. Still not sure, it's quite affordable compared to others. The touch problems really bug me on the one i have, but for all I know they are all like that.

lol, there is a game called Animal Jam, as well as Animal Crossing. 😂 That's cool that you enjoy drawing animals - I really do, too. This helped SO much, so thanks a lot for this thorough review. I think I'd be annoyed by a lot of the same things, so I need to look into that palm rejection issue. This is still far, far better than the 2004 Lenovo I currently have though, haha.

Thank you for the review, I am watching it today in 2024 - when you talk about the revolution of the pen in 2-1 do you reckon the pen is better today in the Lenovo i7?
The active stylus tech is just ok. I am not sure if the switched. Samsung has Wacom EMR drawing tech. That is probably the best on a laptop 2 in 1. The Surface laptop studio also has great drawing tech.

I just got a yoga 930. How do find the Art Page you are in. Is that adobe photoshop app? Do I need to download that?
It's photoshop. It costs money.

The Lenovo pen that came with the unit. It is the active stylus. Not a great choice. I recommend getting a machine that uses Wacom EMR tech. A Samsung Galaxy book 360 for instance. Full PC…great drawing experience…longevity. Also, Surface book 2. That has good pen tech as well(not Wacom but still really good). Thanks for watching!!

It's kind of nuts how much brighter the iPad is. I suppose that makes it easier to use in a brightly lit room?
I am looking to grab a 2 in 1 with dedicated graphics. I need to be able to illustrate, sequence edit animations into 4K video, so the graphics is essential.
I am between the 4K options of the
Dell Precision 5530 with i7 8706G/Vega M GL
Dell XPS 9575 with i7 8706G/Vega M GL
Lenovo 720 with i7-7770HQ/GTX 1050.
I know these both have adequate horsepower, almost equal. But I am curious about Dells digitizer vs. Lenovo’s. Is one obviously superior, to the point where you would notice without them side by side. Is Precision’s > XPS, or are both inferior to Lenovo altogether?
That’s the only thing I can’t decide on as there isn’t good videos of these 3. Regardless, your videos have been helpful as well as entertaining. Subscribed for more, thank you!

Of course..no problem. I have had a XP pen 22 hd 2nd gen as well as a Xence abs 16:9 medium tablet connected to it. No issues.

What 2-1 would you recommend for an artist?
I loved my HP Zbook x2 g4. It was the best. The surface pro devices are nice. I am currently using a Lenovo Yoga book 920. Very quick...good drawing. No Dell:(

I HHHHAAAAATE the touch screen!! My older tablet computer had a quick way to turn it off. With this computer there is no easy way. My hand leaves marks all over the drawing to the point that I never use the bloody thing.
Yea...this was one of my least favorite machines as it applies to touch. I had to wear a glove when I was drawing. Even then...so many false positives.
@yakiva well…at the time this was made. They stopped making it. I currently use the Surface laptop studio and a Samsung Galaxy book 2 360. Both are great. The HP was good but over time suffered some technical issues. I would look at the Samsungs. Wacom tech and great build.

This isn't a 'Yogabook.' It's a Lenovo Yoga C920. Yogabooks like the YB90 and the C930 are tablet computers, not laptops.
Why not get the surface pro?

Windows. I have updated to windows 11. Runs great.

I wanted to know your opinion on which is better device for drawing: convertible laptop or ipad. It seems like laptops have noticeable latency when using stylus
Asking for my daughter who uses clip studio paint... Looking at used options --- does anyone have a recommendation between a used yoga book c930 (i5 + 4gb ram, 128 gb) VS a Surface pro 3 (i5 + 8gb ram, 256 gb)? THANKS!
Pro/con:
Yoga book has 4k pressure levels surface pro has 1k. AND is wacom certified? Points to yogabook.
Surface has 8gb ram (running very similar processor) and double storage. Points to surface.
Wondering if double ram is a big advantage it 4k levels is?

If you are okay with configuration (RAM and processor) of Yogabook C930, based on what you intend to do with the machine.... Lenovo Yogabook C930 is marvel of technology...my favorite gadget, so far....! It's so much portable and usable...than Surface Pro...
I happened to buy it at Best Buy for $500+ (open box), it was a steal of a deal for me.
I say go no lower than i7 and 8gb ram. I found i5 wasn't good enough when using Adobe Flash but I am not sure about other programs. But be on the safe side, I say.
