i have been waiting for these for soooo long, the port selection and screen quality is what makes me the most interested
Thank you for the updates and hardware configurations , keep up the development in the products ! keep competing the brands.
This is EXACTLY the video I was wanting for this laptop! NOW I KNOW that I am buying it tomorrow. The final piece of my research is done. Thank you!
Hey how was the laptop
WARNING ** Did you know ????? There is a serious design defect in this LENOVO yoga series of laptop.... the micro SD Card slot. You can insert a micro SD Card in the slot but you cannot eject it if you want to remove, replace the card or use multiple card. There is no eject mechanism in the SD card slot, so once inserted it is stuck and you can't do a thing to take SD card out.

Cool review Elaine, tho I'm still tempted on getting a Legion 5 hehe

The 14" is a very beautiful machine!
When it willbe available in italy?
Good Laptop !!! Yoga 7 series are The King of battery life..
Nice to see that discrete GPU comes to Yoga (the last discrete GPU, not mention to entry level MX450 is Yoga C940 with GTX 1650 and that's very limited product)
in term of 2in1 convertible laptop (flex 5, Yoga 7, 9) you guys better do this in the future :
- give some option to discrete GPU like RTX 3050 for more power and compatibility apps (CUDA)
- add one more slot SSD M.2 (for now only 1 slot provided)
- give some option to EMR Wacom Pen (AER is fine but EMR more precision)

I’d pay $100 more if it has 120Hz refresh rate, but 60Hz is good enough. When will the AMD version be available in Canada?
2.8K screen may have issues with screendoor effect, I saw it first hand, will there be a second revision of the panel to fix this? The issue is sad because the screen is otherwise perfect...
I really like the 14 inch version Yoga 7i, when will it be available in the U.S. market?

great video, thank you! many good improvements over the last generation. And a better package than the 9i (which the keyboard changes are a downgrade to me).
How about upgradeability? is it easy to swap SSD or battery replacement?
yes, SSD is user replaceable but not the battery
@@Lenovo-PC thank you for the info. Can the chassis be opened with screws only or is anything glued? (hidden screews behind glued rubber strips) as in some other/older models?

When is Yoga 7 14" AMD Ryzen model coming to North America?
I have a previous generation Yoga 6, which I love, but this version has several useful upgrades (faster CPU, brighter 16x10 screen, rounded edges, etc.). Take my money, Lenovo! :-)
Would you recommend the Yoga 6 even as of right now in 2022? Is it really worth it for me to get the 7i over the 6?
@@diamantejones610 The Yoga 6 works just fine for me, as I mostly do web browsing, email, music streaming, etc. (ie, normal stuff). Plus I love the fabric case! Nits are that the fan kicks on more than I would like and the battery life is only average. The 7i is definitely 'nicer', but not necessary, at least for me.
When will the amd version will be available?
When is their release in the Philippines? What are their prices? Thanks.
Please make an 16inch Version without the numpad 😭
And at least one usb-c charging Port on the other side of the notebook.
Only this 2 thing's and the 16inch model would be amazing.
So, I got the Yoga 7i 16"... Am I correct there doesn't appear to be an extra SSD expansion port? That's a massive disappointment.
Also, your documentation seems to indicate the existing SSD port will ONLY take up to a 1TB SSD?
Thank you! Please make this available with Windows 11 Pro please & thank you!!
Please let me know if I am missing something on the Lenovo website.
Hi, how about the fan is it loud and does this laptop get over heated when doing somehow heavy work on it? Thank you so sorry much in advance!

I like the rounded edges, much more pleasant. And the flip-hinges and the touchscreen. If this laptop (16", cloud grey) would come in a version with a good videocard (RTX 3050 or so), 16-32Gb of ram and full sized arrow buttons (like the Ideapad 5 pro 16) this would be just the laptop I'm looking for.
Oh yeah; a (semi)matt finish of the touchscreen would really be the finishing touch.
hey, you can try YOGA Slim 7 Pro 16" this year, but it's not a convertible laptop

Hi, how to reboot this loptop? I forgot my password i cannot start on it.
Has the hinge problem been resolved? In the Yoga 7/7i models of a couple of years old, the hinges were glued to the display panel, which caused many cases of hinges breaking off. Has this been amended? How are the hinges attached to the display panel?
Other than this concern, the machine looks truly amazing. If not this durability fear, I'd have bought it the second I saw it.
The hinge appears to attach to the display on the sides. There are two pegs sticking out from the hinge that go into the display. If that makes sense. It's not glued. I have the 7i model. Best Buy had the top model on sale for 1299. So check back in your interested. This machine is amazing. They also have them on display at Best Buy, if you're close to one check it out.
@@maxpink That kind of made sense, actually :-) Many thanks! I suppose what you described doesn't exclude the possibility of it being held by glue, but that it appears and feels solid, is important information for me.

What is display refresh rate, & peak brightness of 14 inch OLED panel? What is the gross weight of both of these models?
It depends on which model you're asking. But overall, YOGA 7i 14" 2.8K OLED: 400 nits brightness 90Hz refresh rate, starting at 1.42 kg (3.13 lbs); YOGA 7i 14" 2.2K IPS: 300 nits brightness, 60Hz refresh rate, starting at 1.45 kg (3.20 lbs); YOGA 7i 16" 2.5K IPS: 400 nits brightness, 60Hz refresh rate, 1.98 kg (4.37 lbs)
@@Lenovo-PC Please improve the 14" IPS brightness! OLED screens hurt the eyes because of pulse width modulation. They also worsen battery life.

no, it's not replaceable
Why will the 16" not have a better screen available?
Also, when will the 16" be available with the Intel Arc GPU as well as the Intel i7-12700H processor?

I cannot get HDMI out to work. I used a 2-year-old ASUS right after trying and it worked fine. I followed instructions on how to set up HDMI through the Multiple displays settings under Display settings. Changed the resolution of the laptop to a lower one, but with no success. I'm not sure if someone else has had a problem and success, but if so, please let me know. Thank you.
So it did work right away on my 65-inch 4K TV. The answer must be getting the resolution set correctly because the problem I had was on a smaller TV that wasn't 4K. I changed the resolution on my Lenovo, trying lower ones, but could not get it to work properly on the smaller non-4 K TV. Not a big problem. But it still should have been easier. Maybe I'll try on the smaller TV here at home to see what resolution works. Unfortunately, I no longer have access to the one I had trouble getting the HDMI to work on as it was while out of town.
@@REALXANTHONYXDAVIS It worked on my 65 inch 4 K TV without having to change anything. What occured with the other TV had to do with setting the correct resolution. It was a smaller TV that's not 4K. I haven't tried it on a smaller smart TV I have at home. But I feel confident HDMI will work once I figure out the right redimutiin to set it at. You can Google instructions for this. As far as the laptop. I kept mine. Best Buy has it for 899.99 right now. That's a deal. I really like it. The only complaint I have is that I don't get more than 7 or 8 hours of battery use watching videos and simply browsing. But I don't have to charge it everyday with this type of use.
@@REALXANTHONYXDAVIS The price on Best Buy is hard to beat. I originally bought mine on sale for 999.99. I then saw BB put it on sale for 899.99 and was fortunate that it was under 30 days from my purchase and received a 106.00 refund. So I'm satisfied with the price. I'm also very satisfied with the laptop. I had my eye on a new model ASUS Flip 2 in l. Oled screen1 with an OLED screen. And a bit higher end than the Lenovo. But at 1199.99, I think this model Yoga is more than enough laptop for me.
