Just realized if Biles, Douglas and Suni compete at the Olympic trials this would be the first time in US history that 3 Olympic AA Champions compete for a spot!

@@sarahdore7884 Chellsie Memmel was also training a Dos Santos II that she did in the exact same manner, and it was just as gorgeous. Like Aulya, I believe she always did it from the air floor. I hope Aulya gets this into competition shape!

Aulya D. looks like a she diving from a high cliff. Like Andrade's bb landings & her ring leap is gorgeous. Gabrielle is swinging a very complex UB set effortlessly, her swing, timing & form are beautiful.

Dos Santos II!!!! Also, Georgia's church is a thing of absolute beauty. And I am so impressed by Elisabeth Seitz's combo, it looks so hard, and so clean! All of these upgrades are amazing, but those ones were my favorites.

That gymnast from WCC, I am assuming she is a junior? I don't expect anyone to compete a Dos Santos 2 unless they upgrade the skill. Give it a super H+ worth 0.85, anything. ❤💙💜
So the bars / beam spot is between Gabby (6.4D bars) & Suni (6.8-7D beam), or Gabby grabs the AA spot.
Why do you think there’s only one bar/beam slot? Why couldn’t they both compete - it would make sense - bars: Suni, shilese, gabby. Beam: Simone, suni, gabby/shilese, and then you would only need one floor/vault specialist. If Suni is consistent and reliable I defo see her as a lock, the only person I see competing with gabby would be Skye Blakey as her beam and bars are also really good, not to mention the cheng that she’s training which if she gets ready for upcoming comps then I defo seeing her making the team if she’s consistent and reliable
The third AA spot to be precise, in which case it' ll be between her, Skye or possibly Shilese. (Cos its an Olympic year and the girls are bringing it, I dont feel Shi's second best AA spot is as guaranteed as people seem to believe. She'll most likely still make the team though, but the question is, "in what capacity? ".

@@Haazza 3 AA, 1 UB & BB & maybe Cheng VT, 1 FX & maybe VT. Skye having a Cheng means there is one spot left for Suni / Gabby. If not, both of them may compete if Gabby gets the AA spot.
@@ifeanyienemo7697 Shilese has a pretty secure 2nd AA spot if she competes like 2023 worlds. Shilese will also bring up all upgrades like others.

Why do gymnasts straddle their legs when casting to handstand?
Because it is easier and takes less energy.
Auyla's Dos Santos is more laid out than Dos Santos but she is on one of those springy things so I doubt it will look that good on a real floor
There was a very old video of Dos Santos doing this skill in a fully stretched position on a tumble track, but she had to pike it when she attempted it on the floor exercise surface.
Word around the campfire is she didn't feel she was getting enough individual attention, so she went to Metroplex. However, apparently it wasn't any better over there; so she went back to WOGA. Messy boots 😭.

Unpopular opinion but I think the Dos Santos (2) is such an ugly skill when it's hyper-extended like that. It almost has to be ever so slightly piped to look appealing in my opinion.

These training videos are just that, training. No indication that these moves are going to be part of the finished compitition routines. How many times have we seen a great single move or conections being trained but never done in competition? And you can't tell a whole lot about a gymnasts condition from a single 2-3 second snippet of a training video. As far as Gabby goes, until we see her in a actual competition l wouldn't judge her ability to compeat in todays world. Yes she was fantastic in the past....but so were many others who tried to come back but couldn't. Before l start putting someone on a team, l want to see them in actual competition. So many train beautifully but fall apart in competitions. Or perform erratically. Skye is a great example of that. When she hits, shes fantastic, but often she is inconsistent and seems unsure of herself. The NCAA gymnasts compeat every week for 3+ months so you have something to measure them by even if its a watered down routine..

Honestly, I think Seitz's combo should be required from those Chow/Maloney type entries. Otherwise they're completely disrupting the flow of the routine.
