Kaylia Nemour BAR ANALYSES: • Kaylia Nemours ALGERIA...
Beautiful analysis, Lance, and thanks so much for explaining the L grip to people. Only someone who knows the sport knows the truth of the matter: It's all about who has a really good day when it counts, in order to medal. Have you ever wished the medals went out more than three places?!
Glad you liked it. The are all so good these days. however, I was looking at Nastia Liukins set and she really had great style so may do her routine. If the medals went out to farther places, I am affraid they would lose their value the farther they went out so I am happy with the three medals tradition. For kids though, I like them to get something for their efforts to inspire them to try harder. Yes, so much depends on the day and I guess that part of the game hahah. All my best.
@@OLYMPIANTEACHES-bh6gp YES Please do Nastia !!!
Her layout jaeger is absolutely glorious.
Shilese has the best handstands!
Second to none! Those videos she posts where she stays in that position for what seems like forever always blow my mind.
It is such a mystery to me how Chinese gymnasts seem to have such extreme mobility in their shoulders.
We probably don't want to know.
They pick the children who have physical advantage right from the start so I would guess most are predisposed to be a bit more flexible. Aside from that- stretching the, until it’s relatively easy for them.
Amazing channel! Very informative analysis. You pronounced her name very well too!
Suni Lee's layout jeiger with full twist to immediate pak salto to immediate shapash to bahardwaj ... can't be counted out
Right like her upgrades too are nice can’t wait to see it at Olympics
That was one hell of an analysis! Forst video of yours on my fyp im kinda mad i havent found your channel before
@@yagirltones8748 thank you very much and I’m glad you enjoy it. I really do like looking at these great to most closely. As with most things, the closer you look the more you see. I’m trying to analyze for gymnast and non-miss alike. Thanks again for your message. I was away for a bit at Olympic trials and gymnastics camp, but got back and will start releasing videos again. Rock on and all my best.
QQ必胜😁
It’s Qiu pronounced kind of like “chyo”
Could you do a video on Audrey Davis’ bar work ? 😊 or Jordan bowers!

YES!!! Audrey Davis! i went to Nationals in '22 and sat close to bars--she was so impressive irl. theyre all incredible at that level, but Audrey's bar work is next level. As ten happy as NCAA judging is, she should've had way more.
Great analysis
Her dismount is a full in back out..... I can't.
Young Sarah Garcia Jennifer Moore Thomas
STALTER? Stalder.... I can't. The more I wanted to support this video the less I can.
It’s nice you keep coming back. My best
Someone's pronunciation being slightly different from yours is actually completely harmless. There are lots of different accents in this world and that's part of the beauty of it!
i love our sport so much--as im getting older, i appreciate some fans less and less. i know thats terrible to say, but as we get older, we give less (insert expletive) about what others think. I love that these younger fans know the code and start values and connection bonuses; however, it'd be cool to see them treat actual humans with as much respect as they show to learning skill names and the CoP. That's my one big ick w/our community. my dad used to call people like that "know-it-alls"--all talk. some of these comments...smh--we can all learn from one another--i cant imagine going onto an Olympic gymnast's site and trying to correct their pronunciation of a skill they performed probably before hypothetical commenter was born. chances are high that elite athletes in the US had a coach from another country; hence different accents and pronunciations. (i.e flic vs bhs) "you say e-ther, i say i-ther, you say nee-ther, i say nigh-ther, e-ther, i-ther, nee-ther, nigh-ther, let's call the whole thing off." we can add a gymnastics verse to it,"you say stalter, i say stalder, you say cheng, and i say chung."
we can learn grace and humility from Lance; his E score is damn near a 10.0 in these comment sections of his thoroughly analyzed videos that i appreciate. If you read this, Lance, thank you!
@@oneshoej3I just learnt from Americans that pronouncing names incorrectly is the sign of racism . I could hardly recognize names he says . He just invents something else . Sorry but this is unacceptable
What does it mean to be a virtuous gymnast?
Virtuosity in gymnastics is doing a common skill - uncommonly well
The only thing I disagree with is " She ends in a perfect handstand".... In both examples... she is over... as indicated by your green line. Great analysis though.
👍
I am talking about handstands in general at that time. I say handstands. It just happened to show a handstand that was not vertical at the time. Just listen closely and I think it will help you understand.
I’m not until you see SUNI LEE and the Algerian!!!!
There's a trick called a Downie... a Church... a Van Lewuen...... Why aren't you using the names and referencing the originators?
He was a male gymnast so maybe he's not familiar with who were the women gymnasts who first did those skills and got them named after them.
Brown Larry Harris Patricia Martin Larry
Garcia Susan Walker Susan Wilson Carol
Her name is spelled incorrectly. Should be Qiu.
Thank you very much. Someone else commented the same thing and I have corrected it already in the thumbnail. It may take me a bit longer to change it in the video. I was aware of the correct spelling, but obviously had a dyslexic moment ha ha ha ha. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
Nemours est meilleure
Moore Linda Lewis Frank Davis Matthew
The layout that the Chinese women do after that series of swings just amazes me every time
Wow that layout jaeger is amazing
Can you analyze Shilese’s new routine from classic? She implements a layout jaeger, two pirouettes with different entries straight into a tkatchev in her new routine with a higher start value.
I will release an analysis of Shannon Miller later today and I will look into doing Shiles next as she’s doing great and made so much progress. Rock on and thanks.
I found my way here via reddit gymnastics. Its so nice to find quality, informative commentary as its basically non existent !! So interesting about Qiu's grip change in her first kip to handstand -- something I definitely had never noticed before.
thanks for explaining L grip!
love it! This video answered a lot of my questions i always have in my mind! Can you please do an analysis for Tang Xijing on bars and balance beam? Even though both these routines are not as difficult as them but she makes the pirouettes so satisfying to watch!!!
¿Alguien puede decirme cuál es la diferencia entre el elemento Healy y Ling?
@bisharpblade6155yo siempre me confundo con los dos
1. Healy:
A healy can actually be used more generically to describe any turn occurring one hand. For example, when men perform a Diamidov on parallel bars, they are completing a Healy. Thus, any of the one-armed pirouettes on uneven bars are all technically healys.
When a gymnast performs a Healy turn from reverse / undergrip and initiates the turn before reaching handstand, this is commonly referred to as a 'Lin' after Lin Li. This skill entered the COP following the 2004 Olympic Games, but is not currently named after anyone.
2. Ling:
While the Ling is often described as a one-arm pirouette, this is actually not how the skill was performed and credited to Ling Jie. Here is the original skill description of the Ling from when it entered the COP after the 1999 World Championships:
'Handstand on high bar - giant circle swing forward in L grip with stretched body to handstand with hop to regular grip on one arm during 1/2 turn to inside and continue with 1/2 turn outward to end in L grip in handstand phase.
If you look closely at the hands of any of the gymnasts that perform this element, you can see that this technique is still utilized today. In this video, pay particular attention at 2:35 and notice how she releases the bar with her left hand and then regrasps in regular grip. She then performs another 1/2 turn to return to L-grip, as opposed to rotating 360 degrees on a single hand.
Sorry, also why do you call it a higgins roll.. when it's a healy and a ling? according to your reference material?
Higgins and Healy are terms from the men’s gymnastics world. You are correct though, as it makes more sense to use the girls terms, although I prefer to describe the scale as it’s more informative than the name of the skill. I will start using more women’s terminology as it makes sense. Thanks and all my best.
Skill, not scale
her family name is Qiu, pronounced as “chew” ❤ thanks for making this awesome analysis
Thanks for the insight as it is very helpful and glad you like the video. Rock on.
