Not only that, but during that time, the only Kenpo karate grandmaster was Edmund K Parker, which was the guy that sponsored the international Kenpo karate Association tournament, and after the tournament, he introduced Bruce Lee to the people they got him started in the movie, The Green hornet, Edmund, Parker Senior is the one that introduced Bruce Lee to Hollywood.

These guys who run these fake Bruce Lee story channels always inflate someone's credentials when they actually "tell the truth."
If a guy is a 6th degree black belt 40 years later, they say that was his rank when he met Bruce Lee.

I went to high school in the 1980's in Texas. We played a team that had a future NFL hall of fame player on their team. It did indeed seem like the guy was super human. We were good as a team, had over 15 players get div 1 NCAA scholarships. We went to state playoffs. But they pulled him out at halftime as they already had a five touch down lead on us.
So, yes, there are super humans. Don't doubt it.

An NFL athlete is in the top 1% of all athletes. When I first learned how to edit video, John Henderson, who went on to play for the Jacksonville Jaguars, was in the room with me.
He broke the best chair at the editor because he was so big.
In middle school, he was known as "Baby Shaq" because he was dunking on people in the 8th grade.
I worked out at the same gym once as Keith Bullock, a linebacker for the Titans. Even in his last year in the NFL as "an old man," he was one of the most shredded people I've ever seen.
A kung-fu friend of mine, in my same style, used to take 2 classes a week at an MMA gym just to stay humble. He said that you could always tell the people who are likely going to become pros from everyone else - they just move better, react quicker, and hit harder than everyone else.

Ed Parker often hosted these big tournaments. I believe he and Bruce were friends if not friendly. Dan Inosanto was a ranking student under Ed Parker before he met Bruce. This explains his use of the gi he is wearing in the foto. It would be nice if the Bruce Lee estate would shut down the Beerdy idiot, but maybe controversy also keeps the legends name and real accomplishment alive as well as sought.

If I already posted this or a similar comment, my apologies.
I dont know why so many people have a problem with Lee's supposed abilities. I'm no martial arts expert. But, I saw onscreen evidence that he must have done what he claimed: that is, he scoured the many styles out there. Then, included anything that might have given him an edge, into his own style.
For instance, I was blind to a statement he made several times. That is, that he incorporated fencing into his technique.
Fencing? What does that have to do with Asian martial arts?
A lot, if you're paying attention.
It's easy to see that if you watch his footwork.
Fencing uses very specific footwork to very-quickly close the distance for an attack. Then, uses more of the same to make a very-hasty retreat. There are foot slides, skips, and shuffles involved.
As a newbie, I used some of them myself. And, they worked.
There are many other examples. Western boxers learn how to inflict maximum punching power based on weight distribution, twisting from the rear foot through the hips, and other things I know only a little about. But, BL saw the potential there, and included it.
And, while taekwondo is somewhat limited in its 'pure form' of mostly kicks, blocks, and punches, the kicking techiques it uses can deliver maximum power, if kicking is what's needed.
    The list goes on.
While a famous Aikido practioner who shall remain nameless is said to be a fake, or worse, the joint hyper-flexion techniques he uses, such as bending an elbow far past its normal limit of travel, in the wrong direction, would quickly disable an attacker. At least, with the small amount of it I learned, it looks that way to me.
I think all Bruce Lee screen footage should have a sign that reads:
"The capabilities demonstrated here were as of June 1973, when he died". I think it frames them in the proper context. Like, what were others doing in that same time capsule? And, what would he be doing later, if he went on living?
Some of what made Bruce Lee popular was about style and flair. You know, a dose of showmanship.
Muhammad Ali did some of the same. He could deliver the goods. But, his rope a dope and 'floating' around the ring made him more fun to watch, for many people.
He wasn't big. But, those who knew him said he had great power, and pound-for-pound strength.
    I remember the old adage:
Its not the dog in the fight. Its the fight in the dog.
The disfigured knuckles on his hands told me he must have been serious when it came to training and dedication. I couldn't have done it.
This last comment has nothing to do with Bruce Lee. But, it is related to martial arts. And, I've got to put it somewhere.
Back in 1993 or 1994, I was just learning taekwondo. And, I was trying to soak up anything I could, that might improve my capabilities. However, I wasn't comfortable in training philosophies that dealt with what I would call, "mystical" abilities. You know--techniques that supposedly enabled someone to knock down an opponent without touching them. That sort of thing.
I found mention in one of the magazines that said you could buy a training book by Joe Lewis, the martial artist.
It gave a phone number. And, I called it.
The man who answered said I called the right place. When I asked him for his name, he said,
"Joe Lewis. It's me. Its my book".
I was very surprised. But, he sounded legitimate to me.
I figured I'd see it through. After a few questions, I asked if I had to learn anything sort of mystical to benefit from the book.
He was polite about it. And, he apparently understood the question.
He said someone once asked him to teach him 'the helicopter'.
He asked what they meant. He said, they meant they wanted to learn to hover above the floor.
He assured me it wasnt part of his teaching curriculum.
I know this must read like a bogus account. All I can say is that he was convincing.
I don't remember if I bought his book, or not. I was going through a divorce. And, my ability to focus was strained.
But, after all that, I hope I did. Whoever was on the phone seemed to be a pretty good guy.
    😅

I’m a JKD practitioner and I’ve been a martial artist for 53 yrs, and I’ve heard some interesting Bruce Lee stories from people who were present at the incidents. I wouldn’t be surprised if Lee knocked someone flat with a 1” punch. The punch is not very useable unless you train hard to do it 4 time a week or more for a long time. The punch is a demo technique, but I’m sure the Bruce Lee could have made it work.

Since the guy in Beerdy's photo was Dan Inosanto, and one of Bruce's close friends, I'm sure he would find the whole story ridiculous. Mr. Inosanto was, I believe a first degree Kenpo black belt, under Ed Parker, who at the time I doubt would have even called himself a "Grand Master" since his teacher, William Chow, was still alive. Parker was the one who initially introduced Dan Inosanto to Bruce and asked him to show Bruce around Pasadena and assist him with his Jeet Kune Do demos. They went on to become close friends and Inosanto eventually left Parker to become Bruce's student and eventually assistant instructor. Dan Inosanto definitely deserves to be called Grand Master now, but he was not back in the 1960s. At that time he was a young first (or maybe second) degree black belt under Master Ed Parker.

When you think about it the main topic about Bruce is can he beat up everybody. At this point I really don’t care but it’s getting more fun out of life which is something Martial arts is not associated with. But isn’t that the juice which fuels the fire of life. It might be but most seem to only be concerned about who’s the king of the hill. But in a world of peace where no life is in threat then the most important aspects of the arts will be practiced.

It’s all about in the rings and out side the ring. the excepting from fans & people around the world. “”That’s A greatest””!! Just A short example.!! A.B.🐘 🦅🇺🇸

I'm third generation from Mr. Parker. There was not an actual fight between Bruce Lee and Mr. Parker. They were well acquainted with each other and would not have been in a fight. Keep in mind Mr. Parker is the founder of American Kenpo.

Bruce Lee train with ip Man. Bruce Lee good fight. And numerous martial artists of the time here did have sparring matches with Bruce and lost. People doubting because he didn't fight in tournaments. What tournaments would have called a lot of Bruce's hits illegal. Bruce Lee was a real martial artist fighter.

Thank you so much for going beyond the myth of Bruce Lee and delving into the realities of the man and his truly astonishing accomplishments. I am a huge fan of his since childhood and over 50 years since his passing in 1973. I don’t know if you read John Little’s Wrath of the Dragon book, but is is a most fascinating read about numerous real fights Mr. Lee had. Hope you will discuss it on your channel one day.

Actually Golden Bell, Dan Inosanto was a student of Kenpo Founder Ed Parker. I don't think Bruce ever had spar with a Kenpo practicaner. Dan & Bruce formed a great friendship, Grand Guro Inosanto is God father to Lee's children Brandon & Shannon. Even trained Brandon in JKD!! I regard Sifu as The Living Father of Jeet Kune Do.. Furthermore, I believe he's the last 1 left of Bruce's original teaching instructors

Bruce Lee was a cha cha champion in HK. That's a reason why his footwork was good. His wife said his fight scenes in his movies were real. She added he practised v v much and regularly. Another thing to learn from him.

I really feel spiritual and Godly wisdom understanding that 95% of people on this earth always believe lies over the truth. But what really kills people life and timetable is those like this one who spent all his life to assisinate a Legendary superhuman like Bruce Lee. Who truly was a spiritual wise martial artist that existed and performed in such a short life. But that been over 50 years ago and that's how long he been dead. Now people like this one devote his whole life to prove stories on Bruce Lee was fake. Who cares after over a half a century. Life should be like I who believes In the 5 percenter and just live with peace, truth and observation.

I noticed on the thumbnail you put a picture of Ed Parker facing off against Bruce Lee. Of course, if that ever did happen, I don’t think it would have ended well for Bruce. Parker was incredibly fast as well and at least twice Bruce’s size.

Why do these fake stories captivate so many Bruce Lee fans? Because they so desperately want to believe that the stuff they see in movies, particularly his movies, is real! They want to believe that he could really fight in real life the way he did in his movies.
On another note, if Beerdy says it, you can basically assume it's made up BS. 😂

So telling me that you don't believe that Bruce Lee could take Eddie Parker down you don't know anything about Bruce Lee.
