I've been using my 16oz RS100s lately for bagwork, I really like them. Definitely has that pro fight glove feel especially for a 16oz. They're very dense in the knuckle padding area, so it's probably best to break them in on the heavybag first before sparring. Rival has told me that the knuckle padding on the RS100s is actually thinner and denser than the RFX Guerrero sparring gloves (that can only be custom ordered). As for me, I'll only spar in Winnings, so my RS100's will be for purely for heavybag work. I know it's not the greatest idea to use sparring gloves for the bag since they will break down faster (than bag gloves), but we shall see how long these last! And I hear that the RB100 (bag gloves of the 100 series) is in the works!
Yeah they've gotten a bit softer. I would say they're still a bit dense for sparring but they are considered a power-transfer (or "puncher's") type of glove so this is expected.
Can you do a review on the Rival No Foul Groin Guard 100 Series and how it compares to other groin guards from winning, Cleto Reyes, Adidas, Ringside, and Fly?
Could you please do a full review of the Headgear RHG100. Especially interested in how good the visibility is (can you recommend models with better visibility) and if the strap is comfortable placed in relation to neck, ears position, etc. Overall looks nice, but not enough to decide if you would buy it... (updated)
I've read reviews complaining about the Rival RPM100 punch mitts including how they constantly slip even when tightened completely, have somewhat awkward padding, are stiff/uncomfortable and finally with the suede inner lining, although, giving the mitts good grip, causes them to build bad odor rather quickly due to the suede being difficult to clean. Would you say there is merit to those complaints? If so, what punch mitts do you recommend for heavyweight/hard hitting fighters that would make it easier on the trainer? If you can include at least two of your favorite professional mitts with one that is the best of the best money can buy and the other a close second that isn't as expensive but is made well with quality and durable material and does the job well and comfortably.
I've not found that happened with my rival 100s but I've now for me found the perfect mitts and I have 6 heavy weights in our fight team and it's the hayabusa pts3 micro mitts absolutely incredible after one week of using them I brought another pair for when my current ones give out...definitely think you would like them mate
Awesome reviews as always! The gear looks fantastic and top quality, the only things I was hoping was that they kept the leather grip bar in the gloves like the older sparring gloves and the headgear was fully PU leather inside because it used to get pretty gross when I sweat in my old one...but thanks again for the great work 👊👌
@Fit2Box - thank you for your review. Were you able to spar with the headgear? If so, how is the protection compared to the Winning FG 2900? Particularly on the sides of the head, ears and nose?
MT Matt I felt a very protective headguard the nose bars of the fg2900 would offer a little more protection for the nose but the overall padding protection was excellent also very comfortable 👊🏼👍🏼
Any way you could do a quick size comparison with the Rs1's, the Rs2's and then the Rs100's, I see that you're waiting for a full review on the Rs100's, but even like a preview vid, with the three different types on the table, side by side, and maybe a few comparable weights preferably 18oz, as I know the 1's and 2's always seemed pretty wide from forefinger to pinky, those 100's do seem a little bit smaller and rounded, was wondering how much?
@@Fit2Box No probs, actually thot you had a shop or even access to one, I'd seen that many reviews of yours are on the channel, ha, but I did find the Rival Rs1's and Rs'2s very bulky, widthwise, was why I was asking, thanks anyhow!
Thats price can get cleto or winning in leather if posted as gift. Cant see logic in buying synthetic. They look nice. Decent shape. They would fly at £60. Can get decent full leather pro-box for £60. Ringside £110. Theres are fairtex n revgear lace in leather, their are awesome under £100 i think.
saif Malik yup I am with you I got the rf bag gloves 150$ and they are nice but for 150$ no way and they use real leather. I think it’s just a way for them to make more money using fake leather and poor quality
Made2last the chaos gloves are much better. £60 i think. Fit2box did a review. I feel any gloves integrity is compromised and they start to stink after 6 to 12 months depending on usage. Fighters need a affordable glove they can rotate every 6 to 12 months, i.e. your sparring gloves get rotated to bags. Its essential to maintain foam integrity for sparring. I see many guys sparring with gloved, where the foams compromised
saif Malik good point, glove companies are taking advantage of the fact that a sparring glove is used more often than a fight glove and are making the sparring gloves cost more than the actual fight gloves.
Boxing is a poor mans sport. Clubs should be selling soft latex machine moulds for 30 to 40 pound in buffalo leather. Sparring gloves must be at a density where the knuckle does not come through. Amateur to pro boxers go through a pair of bag gloves in 6 to 12 months, sparring only glove 12 to 18 months. Besides the integrity of the foam, u dont want a smelly glove in your mouth
Does the suede absorb insert on the mitt obsorb moisturizer and odor? My hands get pretty sweaty sometimes I dnt think the mitts will last because of my hands
Going to order a quality headgear next paycheck. Can you please give me your recommendation on this headgear the rival 100 or the Cleto Reyes headgear with cheek protectors. They are close to the same price and in my budget, which is the better bang for buck my good sir?? Btw awesome reviews and gear! Love the videos.
I know this old but quick question when you get hit near the mouth area do the punch of the glove ? Or the cheeks pad area stops it from hitting your lip ?
Great review, i received mine a few days ago, and just tried it in sparring, very light and protective but.unfortunately really.tight and unconfortable on the ears, i bought M with my head measurements at 57 ,cm , can you tell me if you've tried it did u have the same issue, cheers
Does they mention price on the parcel box or leave empty to skip from paying import duty. What might be the minimum duty on the products which has no price written on the box.
Edgar Tirado Re size best to check with the manufacturers to get the check size For your budget check out These Rival ,sabas, UMA and Pound4Pound all make excellent headgear 👊🏼👍🏼
I got punched by one of those few weeks back felt different than normal hard to describe but I tried these on with hand wraps I could BARLEY get my hands in them
John Ishac All great gloves these are quite a bit cheaper than fly and winning The current fit2box lace up champion is FLY Superlace The current fit2box Velcro champion is winning custom colours glove
How dense is the padding? Has it softened up a bit now? Thinking of getting these, but don't like the idea of the padding being too dense. Are there any other gloves you've used which have similar padding? I had a pair of Rival RS1's, and they were relatively firm, but not too bad.
Jay c the cheek protectors will give a certain level of nose protection although obviously not as much as a nose bar but way more than an open face headguard👊🏼👍🏼
ok thanks, I've been using Rival RHGFS3 which has the nose bar but it effects my visibility when sparring, the rival 100 would have better visibility correct?
Great review as ways! Would be cool to do a comparison match between SABAS and the RS100. Also Im thinking of buying a headgear without nose guard, is the rs100 headgear better than the rival intellishock gear?
I received my red and silver pair of these gloves yesterday. They feel great and i cant wait to use them!
Grimey i suggest you break them in on the bag first
If you could get your hands on Casanova, GIL, JC Pacheco, and Boxeo gear, please review it.
i just bought Boxeo (not the TM).
I don’t recommend the Gil

Yeah you would have to email Rival.
Can you do a review on the Rival No Foul Groin Guard 100 Series and how it compares to other groin guards from winning, Cleto Reyes, Adidas, Ringside, and Fly?

Gold black looks the best compare to other colours
You seem like a taller guy. I'm 6'2 - 6'3 and about 190lbs, would the XL size of the headgear be a better choice?
Bryan Casella check with rival as to best size to get for your head measurement 👊🏼👍🏼

Head gear seems to follow Winnings signature construction, would you say it is as protective and as light as winning?
Winning fg2900 is my favourite cheekguard headguard
They are a great pair of gloves but at that price... I don't know. You could just get a pair of Winnings or Fly.
How is this gloves compare to winnings ?
when you talk about the OZ in boxing as per body weight should this be considered for bag work to or only sparring?
Do a full review on the gloves please
Eduardo Camacho currently doing a longer term durability test on these so full review will follow that👊🏼👍🏼

Hey Simon, about the micro mitts, Rival RPM 100 (on the video) vs TopBoxer micro mitts, which one is better?
I’m going to say rival but they are quite a bit more expensive
Does the suede absorb insert on the mitt obsorb moisturizer and odor? My hands get pretty sweaty sometimes I dnt think the mitts will last because of my hands
Durability wise they will last but if you do sweat a lot maybe go for a leather pair of pads rather than synthetic

Joey Wheeler I personally would go Rival 100 headguard over the Reyes

Fit2Box thanks! Ordering Friday! 🙂
I know this old but quick question when you get hit near the mouth area do the punch of the glove ? Or the cheeks pad area stops it from hitting your lip ?
The cheek pads do offer protection against the shots
Hi. Do you prefer this head guard over the fg2900? What headguard is lighter? And what protect more the nose?
D RS I would say I prefer the fg2900
Lighter more nose protection but it does cost more
This rival is very good headguard for the price point 👊🏼👍🏼
Do you know when they will restock them?
Beautiful gear bro ! 😍

I just boughg the title gel world gloves a Large. Do you know anything about those gloves or the title workmanship?
Youngmel003 Allsta
They are not a glove I have used/tested so couldn't really give you an opinion sorry
is this similar to RHG2 or RHG30 ? i want something like Winning FG2900 which can also protect my nose , but not expensive like winning
The 100 series headguard the best out of the three rival headguards mentioned👊🏼👍🏼
Whats the durability like now youve used them a while also how is the stitching on these gloves
I will be doing a video on the durability as I have been testing a pair for the last 5/6 months
Durability and stitching has been excellent 👊🏼👍🏼
Will you do a giveaway of this kit i would love to have it but i'm skint :(

How do you know what size to get for the headgear? Also which ones would you recommend on a budget of $200?
Edgar Tirado
Re size best to check with the manufacturers to get the check size
For your budget check out
These Rival ,sabas, UMA and Pound4Pound all make excellent headgear 👊🏼👍🏼
do you prefer this headguard or the cleto reyes with facebar in sparring?
Emanuel Fhinn I do prefer a face bar to a cheek headguard although I do love the style comfort and fit of the Rival 👊🏼👍🏼
Good video I some of them
These gloves vs the adidas which are better?
Which adidas ?
Are these punch mitts better than the Sabas punch mitts? which do you lean towards most?
S. Paul Guillory both are very good punch mitts so it would come gown to personal style choice👊🏼👍🏼
Would you recommend those gloves for sparring
Geoffrey Elward yes but they do say soften them up on the bags when you first get them👊🏼👍🏼
For a £150ish budget would you recommend this head guard or something else?

Yes I need 16 oz I’m not sure if I should get winnings flysports or these

The current fit2box lace up champion is FLY Superlace
The current fit2box Velcro champion is winning custom colours glove
The price with no leather is a joke it’s a way for a company to save money that’s it.

I do
they are really well made and feel solid in construction👊🏼👍🏼

360 BOXING they are quite a sleek glove
The padding is a little firmer than RS1 when new but will soften with use👊🏼👍🏼

Xx Mastergaming
Depends on your budget?
How much do you want to spend

Which specific RIval glove models do you have experience with? I find that all of their mid to high end tier models are great.
